That sounds like it should be an animated movie. Evans' big payday would be wasted on a D+ show.

Endgame should have literally been the end.. people stopped giving a shit after. It was frickin over... its the only reason people watched Cpt Marvel, because it was sandwiched between infinity war and endgame and thought it might have some relevence to endgame. But it didnt, and people dont care about this shit anymore

The thing is- if Captain Marvel DID have something to do with the Thanos story then maybe that would have generated enough interest in her as a character to carry through some momentum for the MCU now.
As it is- the "legacy" characters have no connection to the movies when this shit was popular.

They're flailing in desperation because the audience thought Endgame was the perfect ending point and doesn't care about some moronic "Multiverse Saga" starring Z-List substitutes like Shang-Chi or the fricking Eternals. Then on top of that the villain they wanted to be Thanos' replacement turned out to be a hardcore domestic abuser that they were forced to fire to avoid a PR nightmare. So Disney is now reduced to try and shamelessly pander with stuff like bringing back Captain America.

They were setting up Kang the Conqueror to be the next big overarching villain after Thanos and had him appear in several of the recent films to hype him up just like they hyped up Thanos before Infinity War. Then Kang's actor gets convicted in court of beating the shit out of his girlfriend so bad she went to the hospital. So now they have no villain.

Even without the baggage, Majors sucked and his Kang sucked. Even had they hired a kinomancer like Jude Law for the role we've seen him job a lot and the Avengers fighting a billion versions of him would diminish his thread when they keep wasting his variants over and over. Should have had a single Kang with a cool actor and when he seems unbeatable, you have Iron Lad and Immortus step in as allies.

What the hell happened after Endgame that made the new movies such a mess re: the big overarching plot? No cohesion at all. They spread themselves too thin with the harebrained Disney plus shows?

You have to look at it through the perspective of what women and minorities saw for more than a decade, white males with leading roles, this caused irreparable damage to their psyche, so as soon as Disney took over Marvel they went gung-ho with diversity and thinly veiled bigotry towards men to correct this horrible injustice, they never once realized who the people were that watch their shows or didn't care as long as they could bring their twitter equality mental illness to bare

Disney acquired Marvel in 2009. It was more like the zeitgeist had shifted in 2019 (well, an imposed zeitgeist. Not an organic one). And then in 2020, we had the Saint Floyd hysterics and peak black worship.

that's when disney took over after the cinematic universe ended and stan lee was finally out of the picture, those ten years drove the people that finally got the reigns insane and this is the result, a product no one cares about
this happened in the 90s as well in the comicbook industry

I believe the Skrull invasion was the next big thing, but the new avenger team that would oppose them failed to assamble interest
Plus, you had Ms Marvel that is completely OP and wasn't taken out of the picture
Actually would be a cool movie
Evil guys shows up and there's noone to oppose them and they win

Call it schizo, but you can almost imagine some seething bespectled Marxists in Disney seething over Secret Invasion where Skrulls bad as some sort of capeshit equivalent of the McCarthy era. If Skrulls bad this sends a heckin problematicrino message of commie subversives bad too

I always believed the Skrull was some sort of Marvel take on bodysnatchers/The Thing and if you have no way to know someone is skrull untill it dies it's an amazing recourse

Just do a Captain America animated series like What if and just hire the actors they already used before for voice over
Now it's not as expensive as full movies, less risk of failure, and 70 years or stories that the movies forgot to flesh out. and also they don't have to worry about muh actors getting old, roiding them up and stuff.
If What If and X Men 97 can do well, so can this. Disney needs to stop all the oversaturated live action stuff and go back to animation

Plus theres the adage that "It's easier to embezzle a million dollars out of a hundred million dollar budget than out of a five million dollar budget."

This would be like the black widow prequel. Nobody gi es a shit. It will have 0 impact. It tells a story thst nobody really gives a shit about.
MCU really has a knack for wanting to tell the most boring stories and leave no mystery behind.

How about you move actual plot lines instead of this shit. What happened to nuVision? How are people reacting to Tiamut? Is he even dead?

They should frick off with the timeline shit and take a hint from DC with it's more auteur-driven one shots, which can continue their own storylines if they generate enough interest

Also they should make X-men their new avengers, but they can't, because they literally can't help themselves but to gay it up (and focus on b-listers, what the frick)
