I don't think you can. only movies that are equally as good.
I legitimately think RoboCop is a near perfect movie, in that it accomplishes everything it sets out to accomplish, it has no significant flaws, it's entertaining, reasonably original and creative, it offers some solid commentary on relevant topics without lurching into naked preaching, it's consistent and clear about its themes and handles them well, and it withstands the test of time.
this b***h is responsible for EVERYTHING and NEVER gets held accountable! >decides to pursue gang into creepy abandoned factory complex >decides to split up >decides to oogle Black person wiener instead of shooting the Black person in the back
seriously Lewis, what the FRICK
Also, Joe Cox is easily the most annoying of the villains with his constant taunting and hyena laugh, yet he gets off the easiest of them all with just a quick gunshot to the chest. wtf.
Those are the only major flaws I have with this movie
>Okay, I give up. >I'm not arresting you anymore. >H-heeey! Wait a second. >Wait a minute. >You're taking this kinda personal, aren't ya? >Come on, man. >Come on now, you're making me nervous. >Come on, you can't do this. >Come on now, don't mess around! >Hey! Hey! >Come on, man, now don't get cute!
What did Clarence mean by this?
I still don't understand how people claim Robocop 2 is better than the original:
>corpo woman whose name I can't remember is a step down from Ronnie Cox >Cain is a step down from Clarence Boddicker >Robocop 2 family drama is a step down from 1 >Robocain is a step down from ED 209 >not enough blood squibs >kid mob boss is fricking moronic >Detroit mayor is annoying and too over the top >Lewis is basically irrelevant >Robocop is barely in it at all
The only thing 2 does better is the suit and the practical effects look good.
>I still don't understand how people claim Robocop 2 is better than the original:
Almost no one does this.
The general consensus is that it is underrated & good but not great.
>The general consensus is that it is underrated & good but not great.
The general concensus is that it sucks.
That's studio didn't want to wait for the original director to finish filming Total Recall. He asked them to wait but the studio said no. So they rushed out a sequel with a completely different Director and Writing team.
Robocain slaying his gang and Robocop fight was kino though.
In terms of action it was upgrade, so if you came for dem explosions it was better.
Everything else like you said.
>I still don't understand how people claim Robocop 2 is better than the original:
Orion Studios was in a bad financial position. They were desperate and forced Robocop 2 to made ahead of schedule before the original director and writer team could come back. Orion hired a script writer who had only written COMICBOOKS and had never done a movie before. He also disliked Robocop 1.
You're misinformed.
The overal consensus is that RC2 a step down, but it's treated too harshly kinda like Predator 2, while both are competent sequels.
Anyone hyped for Robocop Rogue City? Supposedly it's supposed to be a continuation of the 1st film and Peter Weller is voicing Robocop.
Might be gud. It features no run button, so it gives me hope that the devs are taking other details into consideration.
agreed 2 is not as good but it is a worthy sequel. Pretty much all the classics got one really good sequel and then utter shit franchises. Predator, Predator 2. Terminator, T2. Alien, Aliens. But anything beyond that is hot diarrhea.
If it has the same level of blood and gore as Verhoeven's movie and you can shoot rapists in the groin, I might consider buying it.
But let's be honest, we're in current year +8, while the former can be done, I'm not so sure about the latter.
Oh, and of course, the music has to be great, otherwise it'd be an insult to Poledouris' score.
>If it has the same level of blood and gore as Verhoeven's movie and you can shoot rapists in the groin, I might consider buying it. >If it has the same level of blood and gore as Verhoeven's movie and you can shoot rapists in the groin, I might consider buying it.
Details are limited, but the game is rated M for mature, and you can use Robocop to punch criminals heads into bloody meat paste and make them explode. The Director wanted to go for more mature violence.
Anyone else doing voices other than Weller? Watching the RoboDoc and nearly every one from the first movie is still alive except the guy that got cashed out.
Hell yes. It's by the Terminator: Resistance people, and that game, despite some jank, captures the spirit of the movies and clearly loves the source material.
Weller's involvement with any RoboCop project automatically makes it based.
Just as RoboCop projects without Weller are absolutely fricking awful. Frick off, with that jetpack shit.
Imagine how wild it would be if you killed the shit out of someone and, without any context or concept of this even being a possibility that could happen, he comes back as a fricking super-powered robot to kill you. Like, you didn't even consider that as a doable thing before he just shows up with some autopistol and starts blasting. Fricking imagine.
But by this point in the movie, you the viewer are well-acquainted with this being possible. The title of the movie is fricking RoboCop for Christ's sake. You're totally primed from the very beginning. I'm saying you don't get the qualitative experience from this scene of how actually bizarre it would be.
This movie needed more blood-stained robots to be perfect.
Kino Pinnacle.
It's crazy what makeup could do in the '80s
Like practical special effects, it's a dying art.
Six and a half fricking hours for that head make-up.
Name one (1) movie that’s better than Robert Cop
RoboCop
What the frick is that shirt lmao
ikr? it's gonna cause extreme moisture loss. I suppose it's a way of flaunting your water wealth
It was a shirt for duels, meant to leave vitals exposed. If you look closely its an Artreides garb and not Fremen.
Jurassic Park

in short, I'd buy that for a dollar!!!
Samurai Cop
maybe Alien or The Thing but I think that's apples and oranges
I can't with that soundtrack. Basil Poledouris elevates the hell out of it.
Steven Cop.
How did Clarence stab a hole through Murphy's titanium armor?
He stabs him between the shoulder and chest plates
No, it clearly went into the chest
There was already a crack in his armor before Clarence stabbed through it.
Flesh is stronger the steel. See Conan thread in catalog.
YOU HAD REAL GOOD PARENTS
And Clanrence's parents have a real good marriage
SAYONARA ROBOCOP
Oh n-
>USB wins war of the standards
I like how Robo specifically chooses to say Boddicker's girly first name
How did this movie even get made?
Orion/it was the 80s.
>Want to make a Terminator ripoff quickly
>Give the script to some crazy Dutchman
>He makes a masterpiece
It was originally going to be a Judge Dredd adaptation but the script was changed so much they decided to make it its own thing.
Murphy...I'm a mess.

Based beyond belief.
I'm not arresting you anymore.
Thanks.
*BANG*
>Okay, I give up.

Well you did kill him, Clarence.
Can you fly, Bobby?

So yes Robocop 2 sucks.
Frank Miller wrote The Dark Knight Returns, Sin City and RoboCop vs Terminator.
Frank’s script got fricked with. There’s a comic adaption of what he actually wrote.
You're misinformed.

Termagants, vamoose
based. I do occasionally watch this movie pretending it's a space marine in necromunda
Females, depart.
Robocop 1 is the first and best Robocop movie. The others suck.

>Was suppose to come out this month
>Just found out it got delayed again
thats a good thing
But I only have three weeks to live
as long as its polishing a gem and not last minute panicking
>licenced game without any big name behind it
it's over
Worked for Hogwarts Legacy
Looks like yurojank
Hell yes. It's by the Terminator: Resistance people, and that game, despite some jank, captures the spirit of the movies and clearly loves the source material.
It's going to get shit on by normies who'll go in expecting a standard FPS game from it.
When in fact it's more of a RoboCop sim for the fans.
Weller's involvement with any RoboCop project automatically makes it based.
Just as RoboCop projects without Weller are absolutely fricking awful. Frick off, with that jetpack shit.
if the game has the robocop theme then im buying it and i wont care if its works or not
%3D%3D
I frickin' love that guy!
RIP Miguel.
