Guy on left looks like he gets pegged
Guy on left looks like he gets pegged
There's been regular threads about it. Maybe you're just not on here enough.
Sure there are but they're very dead
>HP Lovecraft
He better get paired with a cute black girl. Also would he let you call him Howie?
>He better get paired with a cute black girl.
She was a israelite IIRC.
Oh I know, it'd just be funnier this way given his reputation.
I like to imagine him as a chronic shitposter shut-in but I can see him being more chill than his clone father and even telling Topher to not overthink the "you're a clone of a problematic person" too much
I made him the captain of the ballet troupe, sadly they lost their treasurer
Charles II should be a gigachad who got messed up during the cloning process, giving him perfect genetics.
Despite his genetics he was very competent as a monarch
Looks like they all roleplay table top games with Tolkien.
Oda and Vlad are definitely powergamers.
I imagine Vlad and Blackbeard as two best friend bullies. But Howard's definitely in Tolkien's table top group
>Lovecraft
poor guy is going straight to the cancelled table
Oda looks like the type of guy wo would be extremely good at many things, but also extremely competitive, to the point were he sucks the fun out of any activity he engages in.
>Keeps joining every sports team, just to dominate everyone there, and then leave when he's reached the top
>Has no interest in roleplaying, but joins Tolkien's group just to power play the everliving shit out of it
>Ran for class president and won, only to quit immediately, because he only did it to prove that he could
>Sure there are but they're very dead
Well yeah, it was shit. What is there to talk about?
>Well yeah, it was shit.
That's the thing tho, being shit just make people in this board want to talk more about It If anything
It was a special kind of shit, the kind that is so unremarkable that you can't even make rage bait out of it. There is literally nothing worth talking about.
>Every source I can find of S1 is either Clone High USA (which replaced the licensed music with generic stuff and got a few scenes cut) or it uses the longer intro for EVERY episode
>None of these sets have the special versions of the intro (like the sad version used in Litter Kills, Literally, or the version with the bell backing track used in the Snowflake Day episode)
No

C'mon anon it's right there, you're supposed to decode the link twice
>gets spoonfed
>still doesn't get it
Actually have a nice day if you're this fricking stupid.
Have a Toph for your troubles good sir! My sister has been wanting a restored cut of the original Clone High for years. Godspeed you magnificent bastard!

>The following changes have been made:
>-E01-12 have the short, sweet, and to-the-point intro sequence that you don't feel like skipping because it doesn't overstay its welcome.
>-E10 "Litter Kills: Litterally" uses a somber, melancholic rendition of the main theme sung by a woman to really drive home how high the stakes are.
>-E11 "Snowflake Day: A Very Special Holiday Episode" has added bells to the main theme to be more in-tune with the holidays.
Does it retain the licensed music? I could dig out my own DVD copy to compare, but I figure it'd be easier to just ask.
Yes
>nobody is talking about it.
Maybe only on this website, I've seen a resurgence of discussion and fan art lately (for obvious reasons).
Need Joan to sit on my face fr
I personally think its low key brilliant writing to take out Gandhi (RIP) for being offensive to a billion Indians who didn't even watch the show, and instead replace him with Toph who MURDERED millions of the other Indians, and showcase to it's American audiance that he's trying to be a new person that accepts everyone for who they are instead. That's the funniest shit ever.
Yeha, i thought i was supposed to hate christopher columbus, and this show made him the best character because all the others have NO personality.
Probably because people are homosexuals nowadays and think 'being a dick' is the worst thing in the universe, but in a comedy show the buttholes are the funny characters because they almost never give a shit that other people think they're being an butthole.
The only time this season felt even remotely close to the original was in the finale when everyone was being dicks to each other, pisses me off that everyone was just nice to each, completely missing the point of this show being a parody of teen DRAMAS.
What do you mean? I already watched the only season the show ever got.
>The coffeemaker didn't break, I was getting freeeeakyyyy with it
It's a bastardized rip-off of the better written show from the 90's.
Star Wars, Indiana Jones, TMNT, Batman, He-man, all completely ruined by a generation that hates me.
I stopped watching all of it years ago because it's done nothing but remind me that my childhood is far behind me and I'd like to keep the memories of that time happy instead of being patronized and insulted by this new-age garbage.
>It's a bastardized rip-off of the better written show from the 90's
Clone High aired in 2002/2003.
Close enough
No, not really. The 2000s were a COMPLETELY different time from the 90s, and you'd know that if you actually lived through them you poser homosexual.
The 90s were the 80s Part 2: Electric Bugaloo, when the Soviets had collapsed, Pokémon became a thing and everything was going to be amazing forever and ever
Then 9/11 happened and everyone lost thier fricking minds. Even early 2000s were a kind of mental haze as everyone was struggling to process how skewered reality had become/fearful that death and destruction was just around the corner again
>better written show from the 90's
moron.
>all completely ruined by a generation that hates me
>it's done nothing but remind me that my childhood is far behind me
Cry, and I can't emphasize this enough, moar.
>all completely ruined by a generation that hates me
Millennials have never even thought about gen x, it's the zoomers who hate their parents for being sleazy and obsessed with star wars.
you underestimate our current tech for taking old stuff and making it new again.
The characters look way better drawn by people who know how to draw
So not you?
Definitely not me
I like how fricking stupid it is
Gay sex with Frida.
>cleo is only interested in frida because she wants to be popular again
they better not backpedal on this
They already did, they're the wholesome perfect lesbian couple as you've seen in the last episode
we have yet to see the real repercussions of their relationship
it's likely to be touched on in s3 but i'm not holding my breath
>cast Andy Dick as Vincent van Gogh
Frick this show and everyone who likes it.
It's better than giving him an awful Dutch accent.
Andy Dick should have died instead of Phil Hartman.
He got his ass kicked by The Critic’s VA
That’s a fate worse than death
>new season goes out of its way to destroy everything that made the first season good
>wtf why is nobody talking about it
Columbus was Italian?
Yeah, he just got commissioned by the Queen of Spain or whatever.
It was more like
>Hey your Majesty I think I can find a quicker route to India for them sweet spices
>will it screw over the Brits?
>uh....sure?
>GIVE HIM THREE SHIPS
yep. i learned that from the sopranos of all things. thought he was spanish for the longest time
Half the reason he's even propped up as the discoverer of America is that Italian-American immigrants wanted to latch on to a historic figure and bought into Washington Irving's biography of the figure.
Why not Amerigo Vespucci?
True, before Irving the popular credit for "discovering America" was generally given to John Cabot, who like Columbus was an Italian navigator, but unlike him worked for the English crown.
Tbh that isn't, even for today, set in stone, but it's the most accepted option.
>CLONE HIGH.
I didn't realise anyone on Cinemaphile was sucking this show's dick. Does it have anything to recommend it?
>Clone High is out and nobody is talking about it
they got rid of the best character because of indians of all people lol
Did Che ever appear?
It seems so obvious he would be a hushler, trying to get a little bit of that T-Shirt money featuring his progenitor.
No pregnant Anne Frank, no watch.
did Gandhi get killed?
No just mind wiped from everyone's minds as an in universe explanation for his absence.
Cus it is not available on my hbo max
yeah plus why is the original on paramount's dipshit streaming but not the new one? i hate having streaming services anyways im not getting ANOTHER one
Why don't more people pirate shit? I genuinely don't understand.
Zoomers are computer illiterate.
I am a zoomer. Pirating shit is fricking easy.
You are an exception, unfortunately
Too many young people I talk about enjoying media with NEVER bring up piracy, it's always streaming services
The few times I tried to help them out with pirating stuff, they'd say something like "it's too much work" or "I'd rather pay for the convenience", as if using the Mega app even with the data cap is such an ordeal
>it's always streaming services
Yeah, but I don't think it's a generational thing. Maybe people just see it as shameful. Can't woo a girl when she comes over by offering to watch a movie you downloaded from PirateBay.
>"I'd rather pay for the convenience"
The only thing I do this for is Spotify since I can't be arsed to waste time downloading individual songs like I did in middle school, but streaming services have just become more divided than cable on-demand now. There's no reason NOT to stream shit illegally, especially since there's always a high-def rip of almost any streaming show online hours after it premieres.
>Season 2 premieres on HBO Max
>All but three characters have been recast
>The local Season 1 dub is partially lost, and it's unavailable on the service
This sucks
For what language?
Also, I wonder how dubs for this show handle JFK's accent. His exaggerated Boston(?) accent is part of the joke.
I think dubs for some other shows use regional accents in the target language to substitute accents in English. That could work, though harder to pull off with a character based off a historical figure.
Checked the Brazilian Portuguese one, and they gave him a "floaty" voice, as in he draaags certain words, a funny tone and he speaks like a pompy kid. They went with the rich jock kid stereotype instead of the cool jock it seems.
?t=345
i feel more like waiting until new smiling friends comes out to nenew my hbo subscription rather than just getting it for this show
So is Topher gay for Lincoln or did they just not know how to make him interact with any other character?
Definitely the latter but Topher x Abe would've been preferable to Cleo and Frida.
They degraded Cleo to make her less important every time. Them boom. Gay.
jfsjdh
>keysmashing on Cinemaphile
Braver than any US marine.
The biggest problem I have is that they didn't do more jokes with the other clones. Season 1 they constantly had jokes about the other clones and their interpretation of them. In season 2 there was barely anything and Tubman felt way to normal that I'm still not really sure what the joke is with her.
The problem is that the clones were just normal butthole teenagers in 2002 in the first season, sometimes they would be like "what would the original me do?" and then frick up horribly. Harriet Tubman being a self-serving butthole doing an 'underground railroad' of unhealthy food on the school campus after the administrators crack down due to an obesity epidemic among the clones would be a good plot. And then no one learns anything and continue to consume food that is objectively bad for you.
Many of the new clones are not self-serving and childish enough, it's not normal for teenagers to just be normal because they're moronic children being forced to attend school for no apparent reason.
I don't know what they were thinking when they decided to make Harriet Tubman one of the main characters, they were never going to have the balls to bring up slavery or the underground railroad, or portray her in a negative light like they did with all of the other clones in S1.
>I don't know what they were thinking when they decided to make Harriet Tubman
It's weird, because with the original cast, even non-americans would have a pretty good chance of knowing who all of them were, but Frida is not that well known outside of the Americas, and Tubman is completely unknown outside of the US and maybe Canada.
Iunno, i think you underestimate how far American culture reaches, i know about Frida Kahlo and Harriet Tubman just from cultural osmosis, and i'm a bongistani
Kahlo makes sense, she’s an important figure in the artistic and cultural history of the anglosphere. I’d expect about as many bongs to know her as I’d expect Americans to know idk, like who lord Byron is.
Tubman on the other hand I’m surprised about, she seems like a fairly specific historical figure to a specific historic event with not a lot of relevance outside of America. That said, her story makes for excellent myth making so I can see how it spread.
Confucius thinking Christopher is gay and Christopher being a schizo about it is pretty funny.
Shame they don't give Joan a goth emo friend she can relate with, she's just stuck with nerds, preps, and jock dorks
>tfw no Daria-Jane tier banter with Joan and Mary Shelley
it hurts a little bit
The things we've missed out on can never truly be replaced.
Man, I was suddenly hit with a flood of funny Ghandi moments
I need to rewatch season one
all the clone high characters look like this to me
>Always Beats Alex at pokémon b/c his are genned by James
What the frick does that even mean?
The final song was pretty nice
I miss abandoned pools
Glad they could come back to do the soundtrack.
hope they do better in 's2', that's all
>scudworth says "frick"
>its funny because of how unexpected it is
>mr. b says "frick"
>its funny because of how unexpected it is
>joan says "frick"
>feel put off by it
why?
Because teenagers are more pure than psychopathic professors or their snarky robot sidekicks.
I like topher. He appeals to my love of whiny scrawny nerdy white guys who desperately need femdom correctional sex
>The show is out but no one is talking about it!
>It must be because of other reasons other than it sucks and no one wants to talk about it
It must be!
SHUT UP TOPHER
It's because its a reboot of a beloved IP in this political climate. I've refrained from watching simply because I don't want to ruin my memories of the first season.
do italians really get upset about stereotypes like that?
No, that’s the joke.
CLONE HIGH! Omg! Wow! No wait, I don't give a shit. I'd never heard of it until recently and the premise doesn't sound interesting either.
That's okay most people who actually liked it forgot s2 even came out.
Post Clones.
Hernán Cortés:
>Hunk with top genes that make him so self-absorbed.
>Patronizes everyone so much, expecting people to be inferior and in the need of his help.
>His way of helping others mostly ends with him turning people into his stans & slaves.
Moctezuma always tags along with Hernán, simping for him and spending all his cash in Hernan’s OnlyFans.
Adolf Hitler
>Very self-conscious about his clone father and tries his earnest to be genuinely nice
>He doesn't notice it but every other clone tries to make sure he never has a "bad day"
>The school cafeteria has just ran out of Adolf's favorite food and he looks mildly annoyed
>"Uhh... Hey Adolf it's okay, here you can have mine"
>"Ah thank you Julius Caesar" *leaves*
>Everyone else in the cafeteria sighs in relief
I'd like to imagine the Shadowy Figures would keep the truth behind Hitler's past a secret to him, kinda like how Jésus Cristo is given a sorta new identity where he is none the wiser about who he really is/was, but having everyone be super on edge about Adolf would be pretty funny/interesting to see if they actually went down that route.
Jesus knows about his clone father, Joan even ask him for advice and he says that God has a plan for everyone "a painful, painful plan". They probably don't make too much of a deal about it because religion is for fools and liberals
It’s the other way, Liberals hate religion.
Anon...
.
Wasn't the joke about Jesus cristo that his foster family is obviously hispanic and Jesus being a common name for hispanic males? They did something similar with Gandhi's foster family being israeli.
my clonesona would be dian fossey. haven’t really put much thought into it other than i think she was cool and funny as frick.
remember anon, clonesonas are but a thin line away from factkinning. you're playing a dangerous game here.
Tupac Amaru clone who thinks he's the clone of Tupac Shakur but he is terrible at rapping
Not only are both seasons not well drawn this new season has cucked out pathetically to the times. People hype up Lord and Miller but a leading artist should define the times, not be defined by the times.
They should have more clones and make them do funny things. I want them to have Baldwin IV of Jerusalem and have him be smart and strong and attractive but everyone shuns him and he has to constantly explain that Leprosy is not genetic and he's perfectly fine until at the end of the episode he accidentally falls into Scudworth's collection of weaponized diseases and catches SUPER Leprosy. Then he joins the Drama club and wears a Phantom of the Opera mask and is finally accepted by the rest of the clones.
am I the only one thinks even writers hate new characters? Confucius is typical spoiled teen with typical rich parents, Harriet is a black bimbo and Frida is degenerate clown only exist for eyebrow joke, after that moronic first episode they're just third wheel and that's a good thing, considering the whole show was stupid but not overly woke, the first episode seems to be forced to keep up with the globehomo
Less that they hate them and more like they barely have an idea what to do with them.
Confucius and Frida both have one joke. "Influencer wants attention and acknowledgement" and "she's cool and chill when everyone around her is scared and anxious".
The new cast feels like they were made by writers who thought that they know what Gen Z likes, only to come to a slow painful realization that they don't know what Gen Z likes
oh, you're right, nevermind my post
now I understand why Joan simping for abe
