It looks good in stills but in motion it's fricking awful. Nothing inherently wrong with tweening depending on the art style but clone high's style does not work with it at all.
Why are so many modern cartoons afraid of going frame by frame? I get budgets are tight but it's not like clone high moved much to begin with.

Thalidomide Vintage Ad Shirt $22.14 |
You answered your own question, it's the budget.
find it funny how scudworth is consistently animated better then everyone else
yeah but is there REALLY that big of a budget difference?
It's the budget of letting Nelvana animate it and any other better studio animate it.
>It's the budget of letting Nelvana animate it
that's still around?
Amazingly yes after that huge corruption/fraud scandal in the 00's or wtv. I belive the Canadian government bought/seized a large share/complete take over of the company for awhile??? The story is really fricked up and odd.
the tl;dr is since the company employed so many people in Canada and in the arts field. It going under because of insane israelitery would be a deathblow to Canadian animation. The government of Canada will swoop in and seize assets during bankruptcies/etc bad financing all the time. Either owning the IP/wtv and selling it off to the highest bidder or own the company and try fixing it since its so heavily funded by grants in the first place. After fixing something they'll sell a large amount of a company or all of it under condition that stuff will still be made in Canada and they take out loans/grants/bursaries/financing in Canada.
Nelvana isn't completely terrible they're bad or palatable but not complete fricking garbage. The Canadian government loves to fund art shit like this to prove they care about Canadian arts&"culture".
I'm glad clone high is back but its rather odd its back in the first place I mean it was an MTV animated show in the 00's that wasn't that popular. Sure it got a cult following due to reruns on teletoon/other channels. But yeah odd revival and with the paper thin budget/talent working on it I don't see it having nice animation. I mean even the Beavis and Butthead re-revival has pretty bad animation that isn't charming like the 90's animation was and that was given an ok budget from what I've read.
Tl;tl;dr modern western animation gets shafted due to israelitery yet again 30% on advertising 30% on famous VA's for no fricking reason 20% wasted on wtv people working on the show that have nothing to do with art/animation and the final 20% of the budget on animation 15% of that is to the western storyboarders and the rest to wtv worst of the worst SEA animation studio.
>Amazingly yes after that huge corruption/fraud scandal in the 00's or wtv. I belive the Canadian government bought/seized a large share/complete take over of the company for awhile???
I think you're thinking of Cinar
>Nelvana isn't completely terrible they're bad or palatable but not complete fricking garbage.
They're absolutely fricking garbage. They can act like they're the crown israeliteel of animation in Canada, but when similar-sized studios like Mercury and Wildbrain can put out content that kicks their ass, Nelvana is a dinosaur.
I guess? There isn't too many reasons to suddenly use digital animation apart from that one, also I wouldn't be surprised if the two ordered seasons were actually just one, HBO Max has been doing the same thing as Netflix for some time now.
>find it funny how scudworth is consistently animated better then everyone else
I think the series' creators are smart enough to recognize what people want. I smell the clawed fingers of studio execs all over this work, and I think the creators are struggling to provide entertainment without getting destroyed by the demands of the current year.
Animators (animating) usually go per hours. Tweening is less time vs frame by frame. So it means less money
Does anyone know who the black chick is supposed to be?
harriet tubman
They always knew it
The subliminal messaging worked apparently. I'm convinced!
It would have been 100 times funnier if they just reintroduced the characters like nothing happened like they originally planned to do but I guess the couldn't resist doing the obligatory current year plot.
The cancelled jokes were on point tho
Agreed. The only other show I saw do this was Animaniacs, and Clone High blew it out of the water.
Rocko did it too, but Clone High still did it best. Animanigays and Rockocucks seethe.
True, the execution way surpassed expectations of the poor premise.
I mean an episode about a character being 'cancelled' sounded awful, but the show managed to do it in a funny enough way without getting to political.
The bit where Lincoln is sent to the cancel corner with Marilyn Mason was really funny.
Does anyone know why the Sheepman was there?
>Does anyone know why the Sheepman was there?
He's voiced by Andy Dick.
That's why he's in the canceled corner with Marilyn Manson
What the frick did Andy Dick do?
Andy Dick should've been cancelled before the original Clone High aired
He's an annoying homosexual, but that stops shockingly few people from career success. What the frick did he DO?
He got Phil Hartman's wife to relapse, which is what led to her murdering him.
Even if that's true, that happened in '98. What the FRICK did he do since 2003 that got him hashtag mega sheep frick canceled?
my man his wikipedia article looks like this, couldn't even fit everything in the screenshot
>Grab Pamela Anderson boobs
Based and boobpilled
Oh shit I remembered it wrong
Gave some cocaine to a woman who was a recovering addict that she overdosed on, then I think her husband committed suicide after the ordeal. Or at least I think that’s the thing Cinemaphile had against him years ago, since her husband voiced Troy McClure on the Simpsons and his death caused the character to be retired.
Andy Dick has probably done a lot of other awful shit besides that- I hear he’s generally not a well liked person. But the cocaine thing is bad enough.
her husband didn't commit suicide, she fricking killed him and then killed herself.
Buddy, that happened in '98. It was Phil Hartman. She SHOT HIM TO DEATH. John Lovitz accused Dick of making her relapse, but it sounds more like a mix of Zoloft and booze.
Again - what did he do SINCE 2003?! Talking to a fricking wall here.
In ‘03 I think people just didn’t care as much.
About getting accused by a co-star for re-introducing a druggy to drugs? Druggily? No shit no one gave a shit.
So NOTHING since then. No Heil Hitler salutes, nothing?
Iunno man, probably. The character he voiced simply showed up in a minor background gag about characters who used to be on the show that won’t be coming back because they’re just plain not as liked anymore. Then the main point of the episode is all about how it is now very easy to fall out of favor with the public. Him just plain generally not being well liked anymore is enough. Hell, even a crewmember having something personal against him would be enough. But if that other anon is right, it could also be because he’s in jail anyway.
Speaking of which. Who was the cowboy guy at the table
Yeah, I was actually thinking of bringing up how nobody seems to be talking about him. I’ve seem it suggested by an anon he’s John Wayne or something, but I really don’t know.
I don't remember him at all in season 1. I'll re watch it to see
it looked like a caricature of Clint Eastwood, but he's not even dead, which makes it a little confusing
Cmon guys. It's John Wayne.
Hes well known for groping men and women and generally has a reputation as a creep. Sorry to break it to you Andy
>what did he do SINCE 2003?!
I guess being a shit person. He's in jail now for like a month and some change last I heard of him
in general he's just a dick, and is super creepy to people, with many examples of him groping celebrities(as a bit), drunkenly harassing teenagers and shit like that. Also like 10 years after the Phil Hartman stuff he joked about doing it(and Jon Lovitz kicked his ass over it). The fact that he's managed to have a career at all is just kinda crazy to me, when for 25 years at this point, people have known he's kind of a shitty person and have been taking shots at him for years.
>joking a la "if I did it" about a coworker's family's murder-suicide
Yeah, frick, John Lovitz is totally in the right there. I can see why they'd want to drop the sheep teacher character.
>in general he's just a dick
Living up to his name I see
lovitz is too awesome for this world
why aren't we bringing back The Critic instead? okay a lot of the cast is dead, but...
>a lot of the cast is dead
wait, fr?
What has Andy Dick not done
not be a dick
He got his ass beat the frick up at a bar over a year ago. Well deserved.
and it was by this guy's VA
lmao, of all the fricking people to get your ass kicked by.
viva jay sherman
JON LOVITZ beat up Andy Dick?! The doughy israeli guy from "Rat Race"?
yeah, and Andy had it coming. Dick was mad that Lovitz brought up that he gave Phil Hartman's wife cocaine, so 10 years after the death, he goes up to Lovitz and jokingly says "I put the Phil Hartman hex on you, you're next" and Lovitz beat the dude up for saying that
What the frick did he NOT do?
if thats the case why wasn't Vincent Van Gogh in there too? he was also voiced by Andy Dick
Maybe they weren’t bored of his character, or didn’t want people getting confused and thinking Van Gogh got canceled.
Van Gogh is a fan favorite.
Who was the cowboy supposed to be?
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, PILGRIMS.
Clint Eastwood
I'm assuming John Wayne.
Beavis and Butt-Head did it better
Did it?
You decide
Sorry about the shit quality and cropping
Yeah, it sure DID do it better.
how could they do that if they were frozen though
Both suck dick, you're not fooling anyone with your shitty "your taste vs my taste" memes. I can't wait for that format to disappear again now that normies are using it
Clone High actually looks better than any other recent adult cartoon (except Primal) because some of the expressions are custom, tailored to what the character is feeling. How the characters move from one pose to the next wouldn't matter if all the poses were reused, like in every other show.
Should’ve posted the new boss’s ass in the OP tbdesu
yeah, one of the few times I'll admit that avoiding coomerism is a bad move here. I'm pretty sure that, based on this episode not actually being worse than the worst episode of the first season, the new season is gonna be fine.
It's pretty fricking awful imo but I get the feeling it's just a dud episode and it will get better once we get to the less "abe get ipad" plots.
precisely. especially if the new scudworth content is anything to go by.
I'm in the middle of converting them, will link to the post on wsg in a minute.
May I ask where you got this?
>go to the less "abe get ipad" plots
I'm sure that will be most episodes. Can't wait for the BLM and COVID episodes.
this was the BLM episode, Abe said All Lives Matter in his apology flipflop
Imagine hating fan service, what a cuck
fan service is bad when it's the only thing a show has going for it. see: numaniacs and the cult of coomerism that sprung up around Norita despite the rest of the show being absolute garbage.
As much as i hate morons who use the word coomer like theyre some massive puritan im inclined to agree. Numaniacs fricking sucks massive balls and i refused to watch that going further
> puritan
Call me Trotsky, cuz I find zoomer Frida Kahlo kinda cute
why’d you download the watermarked version, king
It's funnier

SHAVE THE BUSHY BROW
Is just curious sex, I did with a mexican girl like her, 12 years older than me, sex was fricking great sadly her personality are worse than the average white women
People tend to date within their race not because they're consciously racist, but because personality expectations can be wildly different. Every kind of woman has some major personality flaw, and it will come at you at right angles if it's from a culture you're not used to. And traditionally that's always been stratified by race. History has consequences.
> Every kind of woman has some major personality flaw, and it will come at you at right angles if it's from a culture you're not used to
Wtf
I said what I said. White men barely notice the shit white women pull because they grew up with them. Complain they don't have a supportive husband who's there for the kids instead of off at work. Start dating a Latina and you'll get b***hed at sideways for not making enough money and spending TOO MUCH time at the house.
The devil you know, mijo.
She’d be pretty cute if it weren’t for the outfit. It’s way too bright and garish
>who was frida kahlo
i'm still trying to figure that the frick out
>It’s way too bright and garish
wow just like real zoomers
Well call me Stalin cuz I'm gonna put an icepick through your stupid revisionist skull
As a latin american artist I'm so fricking sick of seeing how everyone sucks Frida Calo's dick. But God damn it I find this design really cute even with her little moustache and unibrow.
have a nice day
soplame la vela
>As a latin american artist I'm so fricking sick of seeing how everyone sucks Frida Calo's dick
Why?
Her work wasn't even that good and she mostly left the work half done for someone else to finish it but since she's a mexican woman the first world has to pretend she was the 20th century Da Vinci
>t. mexican
Hers is the one good design, and it's in keeping with the original's love for flowers and vibrant clothing. Harriet Tubman is just Random Tumblr User 3748934.
yeah don't post a webm or anything
They took the dog out of scooby doo, then they took Gandhi out of clone high cuz he got that dawg in him
Is there new animation leaked? Gotta know what it looks like.
entire episode can be downloaded here
and I'm posting scudworth clips here
Not gonna watch the whole episode, but in all honesty I was expecting worse animation. This is not all that much different from the original, I was expecting Total Drama levels of bouncy tweening animation.
>Butlertron saying "why would anyone do anything a second time after they got burned so badly the first time?" while looking directly at the audience
what did they mean by this
It means they have contempt for the original show's style of humor.
No, you dummy "they got burned so badly the first time" is referring to the cancellation.
The writers indulging in a little self deprecating humor.
its FRICKING over...
oh right didn't the new aqua teen film also suck?
Yes, and they're making a new season with five episodes despite this.
https://twitter.com/TheCartoonBase/status/1618308776645505024
ATHF is cheap to make and easily recognizable so I can see why they would want a new season, but I also think they just announced that to distract from the Justin Roiland controversy. The timing can't be a coincidence.
It was alright. Got a few laughs out of me and was better than some late season Aqua Teen episodes. Aqua Teen just doesn't work well in a movie format.
>Aqua Teen just doesn't work well in a movie format.
I actually thought the first film was pretty good
yeah it was pretty weak
I can't remember a single joke
the shorts they put out were really good though so maybe the new eps won't be bad
the first movie is great, it actually feels like an elongated episode
the new movie felt like a squidbillies plot with squidbillies animation
Will the fans' uproar over Gandhi being removed exceed the Indians' uproar 20 years ago over Gandhi being there?
depends if this also results in hunger strikes outside viacom offices
They've got a billion people, a political party still helmed by his surviving family, and a huge upswell in Hindu nationalism. This is NOT the time to start shit over a copy-paste Gahndi. You'd get 10,000 unemployed morons taking axes to Internet switches to stop the heresy. The mathematical inversion of "WANT BOB AND VAGEEN."
>the anon who posted the summary last night that everybody was calling fake and gay and sounding like shit
>it was all real
How we coping, CloneHighsisters?
I did say I hope it’s not real but the off chance it is.
If nothing else, Velma has some decent coombait. Just wish it wasn't spammed everywhere. It's a mid show that blew up solely due to its loose association with an established IP. People would rather feign outrage than talk about the few original cartoons we get.
I call the one on the far left.
DAMN SHE HELLA UGLY
i was expecting something more voluptious from last night's thread
There's something off about this character design, dunno if it's the lines, the coloring, or both
Her eyes are inconsistent with the rest of the cast. She has irises for some reason. Also I think her face shape might be a little weird, but I’m less sure of that.
She looks like a Billy and Mandy character
Almost none of the new designs actually match the old show, and a lot of the old designs have been altered in ways that don't match it either.
The show is animated in a really weird way that makes it feel more like Total Drama Island than the original Clone High.
she's got a big ass, though
would like to see her spread eagle, iykwim
ooh she got a fatty
Good gravy, that ass is UNREAL
She is Hillary Clinton...
I thought she was meant to be Andy Warhol
You are a fool. Big noses are peak
real
>not posting the best nose in comics and cartoons
Please forgive me
She really is perfect, isn't she?
What’s her name again?
Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that the survey literally spoils future episodes? It tells you what's gonna happen in the 2nd season after you watch the first episode there
>Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that the survey literally spoils future episodes?
Post the spoilers, then.
The only one I remember is it saying something about Candice wanting to control the clones or something. I'll have to go through the survey again to get the exact information
>The only one I remember is it saying something about Candice wanting to control the clones or something
Isn't that literally what they announce at the beginning?
What does it say?
It wasn't THAT bad
it was actually pretty good. its very jarring how they just completely pretend gandhi never existed though
>t. didn't watch the episode
they reference his absence 3 separate times
But they do, I thought they weren't gonna reference him at all so my very low expectations were surpassed on that regard.
They referenced him many times, he's likely coming back as more "woke". Cleo seems like she's just a minor character now. The episode forgot she existed halfway through.
>The Board of Shadowy Figures discovers that Gandhi's DNA is actually the result of the original Gandhi's DNA being mixed with Gary Coleman's and thus vote to destroy him.
>They do notice, however, that Gandhi being missing creates a "power balance" in the scheme of Clone High's student hierarchy, so they decide to make a "new Gandhi" in his place to serve as Abe's friend.
>This "new Gandhi" is a parody on the safe, sterile jokes of the 2020s, to the point he's so cringey it's funny.
>No one notices and treats Gandhi the same, as if nothing happened. Since the show is a parody of teen high school dramas, the idea of a totally different actor playing a prominent character would make sense.
>The real Gandhi, however, escapes with a bunch of other "failed" clones and they go on a wacky subplot to destroy the fake Gandhi and get the real Gandhi back in his place.
>Helping him are characters such as John Wayne Gacy (a handsome guy with a love for mature women and afraid of clowns), Mussolini (a gentle peace-loving Italian who believes in democracy), Misc Pot (a Chinese guy who thinks, talks, and acts like a stereotypical American caricature), and Walt Disney (an artist whose ideas totally suck ass).
Fun fact Misc Pot, the most based man to ever live, was half chinese
That is far, far cooler than anything the writers have the balls to do now.
The new writers are based. Cope.
>baysed
>baste
>boyste
Anon, we've seen all of one episode. I am telling you they don't have the stones to have Old Gahndi leading a rebellion.
there's new writers? explains why it's so mediocre
>"I wish Clone High was back"
>Finger on monkey's paw curls
Clamoring for revivals almost always lead to terrible disappointment; I learned my mistake with Arrested Development
Oh boy, just wait for futurama…
I wonder if they'll address the foster parents.
They were at the party, so they're probably still the same age.
What about the original Secret Board of Shadowy Figures?
I'm guessing one of three things:
1) They were thawed and fired for incompetence (not being able to handle Scudworth, getting frozen by a fricking TV star)
2) Thawed immediately and served out their time on the Board, given their experience, loyalty, and oversight of many other programs that may not even be on official books
3) Discovered ~2023, thawed, put to retirement because despite their competence (or lack of it) their information and procedures are woefully out of date
I'd find #3 extremely funny, especially if they now own an apartment complex rented by grown-up clones
You can make shitty excuses all you want, but the fact is it was a retcon. This was always what they looked like now. We've gone from "unified council of serious military professionals that contrast with Scudworth's wackiness" to "hahaha, they're obsessed with the teen drama and don't care about super soldiers".
>You can make shitty excuses all you want, but the fact is it was a retcon. This was always what they looked like now.
It's been 20 years. How and why do you think it'd be the same board in a shadow org? Why would they all look 30-something after 20 years? In a show that already buckled 95% of the plot on a known freezing event? Be mad all you want that the new Board has brown people and women, but don't pretend it got Marvel-conned.
Not everything you dislike is specifically geared to gaslight you, you fricking squirrel.
Because one of the people on the council looks the same as one of the previous, but they're now black.
>they look the same except they don't look the same
You mean like how the original Board all looked like lantern-jawed military men with military cuts? You find it surprising a black officer would have the same haircut, so they must then be "the same" person but dyed brown? Have you spent more than 10 minutes on an Army base?
The black guy is the ONLY one who looks like the old council.
Face it. They weren't replaced. They always looked like this now. Diversity today, diversity yesterday, diversity tomorrow. Gotta whitewash that past.
>an organization whose joke was that they all looked like military guys now has a black military guy
>all the other people look different
>but they weren't replaced, they very specifically were scrubbed from history, I feel it on the wind, the ken, the spirit
My good b***h have you ever served on a Board? A Pastor-parish relations committee? You know people retire and get replaced? No? It's all RETCON FALSE SKUB WHITE GENOCIDE for you?
They died of exposure.
Yeah, the first thing i expected the clones to ask when they found out it was 20 years later was whether or not their parents had all died.
I guess it could wait an episode before being addressed, and it makes sense the characters would be dumb enough to not think of it.
I hope we see Toots is somehow still alive and exactly the same and nobody questions it.
How old was he? Sometimes the difference between like 70 and 90 can seem pretty minor.
i liked it
I liked it and want more. Of course the reason might be I'm 32 now and I no longer get angry at things but am always seeing the bright side of everything.

Present!
I was happy to see JC in the background.
My little brother is 14 (soon to be 15 this year) and he's in 9th grade.
no way man
high schoolers will always be born in 1955-1960. we will always be kids waiting for those cool teen years like on TV
They never came. Maybe they never existed. Maybe they only existed for one generation. Either way high school and teen culture has been mythologized for too goddamn long and it’s time we stopped indulging in the fantasy that anyone under the age of 20 has ever been interesting or cool without money and nepotism.
Gandhi is totally coming back judging by those gags, chill out
I can see
happening
Wishy-washy.
Another idea I had is that every episode will have them cutaway to this freezeframe (lol) every episode, and since it's a 20 episode order maybe the last 4 or 5 have him slowly thaw out on his own.
Maybe you keep doing little gags like he's wearing different funny hats, or someone insults him and he looks offended, or it's Taco Tuesday at lunch and he has a taco for no reason.
the pacing is super super weird but i don’t fault them given it’s been 20 years. hopefully it’s better in the official release?
episode should’ve been about ghandi getting cancelled for saying spaz, moron, “Indian” style, various assorted racial jokes, only to get vindicated in the end because he has the ADHD card
somebody put it on nyancat or a stream thing
don't love the gore, the "cancel culture is dumb" thing is kind of boring, and I'm really not that interested in the romance this time around
there were maybe 3 jokes I thought were pretty good, but idk if I'm excited
Just another mediocre reboot so far
i like the tongue twister joke it was cute
It was adorable. I hope these two stay together a decent while, if not for the rest of the series to subvert the alleged 'underdog' winning the girl. Joan deserves better than Abe.
was about to post that screencap but you beat me to it
joan is a gem hope she gets lots of mindbending sex this season
So then... Abe gets Cleo, one a looser for being a moron and the other a loser for being a vapid c**t with no personality?
... I'm surprisingly fine with that.
The anon who claimed they have a bunch of stuff saved on their PC, including Pantheon S2, if you read this create a thread and post something.
They only said "Perhaps". It may as well just be trolling
I thought it was obvious that this random anon didn't have an entire unreleased season from a show lying around on his HDD
I just hope they add music, no intro theme and no abandoned pool’s was pretty bad, i got my hopes up they would play something like standard lines at the end but it was generic music
The audio side is clearly unfinished
Music is one of the last things to be added.
I’m prob not gonna watch it til it comes out; are most of the OG voice actors back? miller and lord no duh, but forte and nicole sullivan and christ miller? can’t find info on it anywhere
>miller and lord no duh, but forte and nicole sullivan and christ miller
yes
cleo didn’t really have any lines and i’m pretty sure it was temp dubbing but christa miller was definitely the voice of candide so she’s for sure coming back
>much cancel culture jokes
Why cant someone just make edgy jokes in spite of what twitter puritan moralhomosexuals say? Its not that fricking hard
They'll probably get less backlash from just making edgy jokes
I'm saying they might (It is a teen drama parody)
or they could just roast the shit out of commiefornian culture or the WEF, there's a untouched market for that
Because if you do, your bosses fire you and your payment processors close your accounts.
Unfortunately, hollywood executives and twattertards tend to be the same type of people.
>Doesn't understand how the modern industry works
I just hope it returns to dumb teen drama shit
nobody in this thread sounds like they genuinely enjoy clone high or anything honestly
I genuinely enjoyed the first season, I feel conflicted about this one so far.
i liked it
waiting for season 2 has been the only thing i’ve been loooking forward to 2023
I liked it a lot. The eye squint from scudworth when the lizards are skittering on the glass ceiling made me die. It really did make me nostalgic for the early 2000s. I’m ready for two seasons of this
>Trying to make Cleo jealous, Abe hooks up with new female character

Shills deserve death.
>reboots 20+ year old cult show
>the first episode is always about cancel culture
we need to nuke nyu (in gmod 11) to stop having the most god awful buzzfeed tier writers go into adult cartoon writing.
if you actually watched the episode, you'd see it's like every other episode of Clone High where it gives a twisted moral to the Very Special Topic for the week.
in this case, it's that the only way Abe can get forgiven and uncancelled is to be literally tortured by the public by them smearing hot sauce into his paper-cut ridden hands.
i did actually watch the episode and though it was hot garbage
simple as
>the first episode is always about cancel culture
Name three other shows where this has happened. The Beavis and Butthead movie is not a show.
That shitty Harvey Birdman special was in the same vein
you can't blame people, this is our generation's jim crow apartheid. and nobody's lifting a finger to defend us.
I was never a fan of the original, but this seems really fricking bad. The animation is just weird, it jumps from the angular 2000s style to full-on John K. at the drop of a hat. I don't remember if the original was like that, but it's kinda distracting. The jokes go from predictable to just non-sensical (although a few moments got a chuckle out of me). The whole "this show is 20 years old, get it?????" got old real fricking fast too. The messaging is also all kinds of fricked - it acknowledges cancel culture, but doesn't critique it or even imply that it's wrong, just that it exists now. Also, it doesn't actually do jack shit with the historical figures it uses, but that was the case in the original as well, so whatever.
>i was never a fan of the original
then what the hell did you expect
>Also, it doesn't actually do jack shit with the historical figures it uses, but that was the case in the original as well, so whatever.
One of the main themes of the original series was that your bloodline doesn't dictate who you are, hence why Gandhi is a party animal because he can't handle the pressure of being cloned from a person with a reputation for being peaceful and orderly.
>love triangle is flipped to where joan is now oblivious to abe’s crush and dating the popular guy
oh god please don’t make joan and abe endgame please please pl
I think I hope that Mission Hill never gets a second season.
It won't. They wanted a spin-off of the gay dudes and it never got picked up
Since Cleo doesn't have anything going for her right now and none of the other main characters are romantically interested in her she's gonna end up being the obligatory lesbian. It even has a convenient set up already in the John D'arc episode. You don't even need to screencap this post, you know I'm right.
honestly i’m okay with that if she ends up with butch gf frida kahlo
Clone High fans before it came out as current year dogshit
>I hope they don't frick this up, I hope that don't make it current year wokeshit, it'll be garbage if they don't have Gandhi
Coping Clone High fans after it came out as current year dogshit
>honestly i’m okay with that if she ends up with butch gf frida kahlo
i didn't care for the episode but the idea that the cast and creators of clone high would get together and make a right-of-center reboot is naive and deranged
future episodes now that we have context clues from episode one
>cleo takes over the school in episode 3 and hosts a “cleocoming” with some magical crown thingy
>joan goes to a sleepover i guess in episode 4
>another riot happens in episode 5
>jfk organizes a sit in to save the grassy knoll and it gets knocked down anyway in episode 6
>the clones get stranded in a desert episode 7
>jfk visits ponce’s grave episode 8
>mr b runs away episode 9 maybe kills himself i’m not sure
>death maze?? candide drags joan into her plan?? the clones get sent to space episode 10
How were you able to put this together
i just saw this question, i’m just summing up what i saw in the leaked storyboards. honestly i didn’t need context from ep 1 but it was nice to have confirmation on some of my suspicions like cleo losing her popularity and becoming desperate to regain it in episode 3, and then also finally learning who candide is. i suspect she’ll get in the way of scudworth and butlertron somehow and that leads him to run away.
So how do they explain Gandhi?
Canon answer is that Scudworth just forgot to unfreeze him.
Anyone got a link to the episode, the mega link from the last thread doesn't seem to work anymore
>the mega link from the last thread doesn't seem to work anymore
lol
lmao
Make sure you're downloading the watermark free version
neither of them work
That was fairly good. Not perfect but a good comeback.
The people in this thread complaining about the cancel culture jokes are Cinemaphilemblr trannies who are mad that any piece of media dares criticize them.
Okay, we've got velma that was shit, clone high that was okay and now the only thing left of the 2023 trashbag is the new season of Futurama.
And they are also doing a "X gets cancelled episode". Something Velma also kinda did...
I'm the only one here noticing a pattern?
you're on to something
Also recently in India there's been a rise in praise and popularity for Ghandi's assassin, Ghodse
Really? That sounds like a stretch.
>Ghandi was killed by a dude called Ghodse
That's some Hitler/Himmler shit
>And they are also doing a "X gets cancelled episode". Something Velma also kinda did...
>I'm the only one here noticing a pattern?
Is Hollywood priming us for the fall of wokeness?
Eh. I laughed at all the Scudworth bits. Rest of it's pretty mid. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out.
Why'd they change Cleo's voice actress?
Probably a temp voice actress.
I don’t know anything about the original cast. But after twenty years, there could be all kinds of reasons.
Hopefully this
tho
christa miller was clearly voicing candide why the hell wouldn’t she come back to voice cleo?
Considering this was staffed by the original creators and a crew of genuinely talented cartoonists, it's shocking how mid this is. Not awful, just... man I kind of wish they hadn't bothered if this was the best they could do.
It's what happens when once talented artists use twitter a little bit too much. Many such cases, sad!
There's still 19 more episodes that can be better
I thought it was 26 new episodes?
Maybe it's a fluke/bad start. Lord and Miller are funny guys, and they love Clone High. I'll reserve judgement for now, but it was a really weak start.
Some of you gays have thick nostalgia goggles, the original first season was on par with this because the show was never all that good. It's more or less the same brand of humor just with current year stuff.
>It's more or less the same brand of humor except bad
Yeah, I noticed.
>but clone high's style does not work with it at all.
Anon, you were alive in the 2000s right? Thick outline, geometric character designs were all over Flash cartoons in the 2000s. I prefer frame by frame animation too, but with Clone High, eh.
So Gandhi anon was right?
No, he wasn't. He said they never acknowledged Gandhi's existence outside of one message where they misspell his name and that was already proven wrong with the leak, they say his name and everything. He's still gone, though.
He's not even gone! They clearly show him. He's frozen but he's there.
Then they can have him both ways: "in the show" but not in any way that will cause Pajeet to start screaming and doing hunger strikes agian.
Idk, I enjoyed it. Maybe I just dont give a frick and want to watch a serie with brain off without having the strange motivation of shooting myself
i love clone high, i hope the next episodes are better, and honestly i had some faith they’d be able to continue the show without gandhi
BUT. i think this “cancel culture” episode would’ve been so much funnier with gandhi and he would’ve been a funnier pariah to watch… kinda like the ADHD episode i guess?
I think the worst part of the cancel culture aspect is that they chose the absolute worst character for it, Abe just doesn't fit.
For some reason people missed that Abe was supposed to be comedicaly oblivious to Joan, and think he's a jerk for "ignoring" her when the joke is how oblivious he is to everything.
joan’s comically oblivious to abe now so what the hells gonna happen to my girl??
>Abe just doesn't fit.
Yes he does. Do you not remember the presidential debate episode?
> honestly i had some faith they’d be able to continue the show without gandhi
Frick That!
REVIVE GHANDI OR DEATH TO HOLLYWOOD
i was thinking they’d just replace him and pretend nothing ever changed, like the gary coleman thing i guess. like when actors leave the show and get replaced.
i think the fact they didn't go with the gary coleman route is because they probably will bring him back and it's going to be a big surprise
>ghandi comes back and Cinemaphile eats crow
heh… right, like that’s ever gonna happen
why are there no webms
all the scudworth scenes are here
the video doesn't have subtitles, and I don't know how to make them, sorry.
I don't get it. I thought it was funny, and I thought it implied that they were going to get the obvious jokes out of the way in the first episode of season 2. I was disappointed with the Animaniacs reboot (but not because it's "woke"), but this was on-brand for Clone High.
>"woke"
Go back.
I've been here since 2008, you first
So will Ghandi be back at all or stay frozen forever?
Who knows, the intro will confirm if he's gone or not because he's mentioned on it
I wonder if they'll change the phrase "sexy teens" in the intro song
Depends on how quickly poos warm up to the realization that it's his fault for India and Pakistan being separate
i think they tried way too hard to give the new characters unique silhouettes so they all came out uggos. confucius's skinny legs, harriet’s huge pink afro, candide's comically large ass… they look unappealing and don’t resemble their clone parents at all except for candide i guess who i’m assuming isn’t a clone
Please tell me they brought back Toots.
No, but they don't act like he's 100% gone either. There's a joke about him still being frozen.
he said toots not gandhi
That's a relief.
Just seeing him acknowledged as having existed at all is a relief.
He didn't appear yet, it's still the first episode after all
I wish this wasn't being released on HBO max only, basically making it US only. Considering it's a canadian cartoon originally.
HBO Max is also available in LatAm and some of their cartoons aired on Teletoon
Not available in Canada still for whatever reason though
It makes me sad that I can see this looking better than the overly-tweened garbage we got.
JFK to the surprise of no one was the best character in this reboot
>Man this dude is tragic. Are you sure he isnt a Kennedy?
>JOAN AND JFK BANGING IN A TREE
still as horny and dumb as ever but he’s not as much of a jerk, which is a shame
man, ghandi really was the key to the entire show.
>directly say gandhi used to be your friend
>have helen keller be a popular girl
>literally just show gandhi
>have the moronic girl show up again
im willing to bet he isnt cut and theyre dragging it out
holy frick they killed Cleo though, absolute disaster sidelining the best girl from the original
>they're doing the "lol it's 20 years later and culture is different now" thing
>ghandi is acknowledged multiple times and shown on screen as still frozen but also he's still not actually in the show for some reason
>cleopatra just stops existing after 5 minutes into the episode
>focus on shitty new characters nobody gives a frick about
I got monkey pawed. Why does god not allow me to have nice things?
They'll backtrack once it's compared to Velma, with some Indian users finding ways to interpret it as Pro-Modi propaganda
Comparing it to Velma is really harsh, I went into the reboot thinking it would be shit but the bit with abe saying he dressed up as chris tucker for halloween is way to good to just call the show dogshit
>focus on shitty new characters nobody gives a frick about
First episode is always about introductions. Gotta meet the new cast.
The only bits that felt like the original show were Scudworth, the bit where everyone makes their own themed luncheons, and Joan and JFK doing tongue twisters. There were a few moments worth a small chuckle outside of that but yeah, eh. My main problem is the new named clones don't seem that funny, and if Gandhi is going to stay frozen they've lost their wild card and a major driver of jokes.
Harriet Tubman being secretly insane could be kinda fun. And I feel bad for Topher Bus. The concept behind his character is a good use of the premise of the show, and there could be more potential there. Though they may have just been using him for this one episode.
>Harriet Tubman being secretly insane could be kinda fun.
She's not "secretly insane" its a reference to the real Harriet Tubman finding people and being a spy.
The whole show is just going to be about Mexican and black zoomers being popular now, meh
>scene opens when the principle addressing the students about the recent massive fire that happen off screen
>scene cuts to Olga
>mfw
I assumed they were going to do a gag where everyone is getting defrosted, and someone bumps into Gandhi and he shatters on the floor Kek. Glad it hasnt happened yet though
Whoa, it’s like Clone High never left.
Poor Gandhi, though. I always heard the rumors that they wouldn't be allowed to even interpret said historical figure's clone should the series ever be revived, but the fact this first episode directly calls him out by name AND appearance makes me think there's a chance Lord & Miller are just teasing the audience for later on in the season.
Those background characters feel so off.
They're hit or miss, some fit very nicely but a lot of them just look too detailed ( frida), colorful ( frida) or don't quite match the very simple art style of the original
They're not moving. I thought that was lazy.
that’s how it was in the og show…
The black girl looks like she's from fricking nuPPG
The whole show in general honestly gives me a lot of nuPPG vibes, which is strange because its mostly the same people working on it.
why the frick is she holding her laptop by the lid
if you want to know the answer to if ghandi is back, just look up the union contracts
just spoil it, I don't want to do that.
DO IT homosexual
TELL US
abe was right why the hell did joan hang out with the popular kids when they used to make fun of them?? i mean he did that too but joan’s gotta have some integrity man
>why the hell did joan hang out with the popular kids when they used to make fun of them??
>i mean he did that too but joan’s gotta have some integrity man
The popular kids were Cleo and JFK. Now they're Harriet Tubman and Frida Kahlo, Joan is hanging out with them because she actually has stuff in common with them.
I hated it on my first watch, watched it again just now and I don't think it's terrible.
anyone have a working link?
Alright, this actually isn't bad. But we need Gandhi back.
Too many gore gags for a first episode
>No Gandhi
>Tweening
>Cringy topical humor
Literally the worst possible outcome holy shit
Everyone saying this is better than Velma doesn't know shit about cartoons.
Is it just me or is the comedic timing all off?
It feels like they rush everything and the jokes just never land.
The original show excelled at this, so its a bit weird seeing the pilot for the reboot frick it up so hard
You're right that a lot of the visual gags didn't really land. And some of the potentially funny written jokes I can only hope don't land because the voice recordings are just first takes/unfinished. But honestly, I just think the jokes here just weren't that funny overall.
I think it's cause they rushed into setting up the new social dynamics too fast. The literal song and dance number to get everyone up to speed on history was fantastic, but they could have worked in a lot more jokes about how weird the world is now to the clones beyond cancel culture bullshit. More shit like JFK chasing around the drone cause he thinks it's a little flying saucer. I think they were trying to be way too clever and jump straight into the cancel culture end of the pool, rather than starting off by showing which clones would be prepared for the new teen cultures and which would be stuck in loserville yet again. Then again, there's 19 episodes left, so let's see if they fix that.
I thought the "all lives matter" joke was really funny.
>or is it mister-stakes now?!
hilarious but it really fails at making fun of wokes and progressives, which I don't think it's the intention tbh.
Doing the role reversal between Abe and Joan is interesting. Since this version is an unfinished version as some of the actors have not finished recording their lines makes me wonder if Cleo's voice in this episode is just a place holder until the other actress records her lines.
The original voice was in the show as that new boss lady. And given how little lines there were for Cleo and the new boss lady, it'd be weird if they somehow didn't have them all recorded by this point.
>The original voice was in the show as that new boss lady
I know, I just didn't acknowledge it
what is she looking at?
A cell phone. Her cell phone. This is a really rough cut.
Huh. Didn’t even notice that.
I didn't hate it. But I don't like it.
Since the show is trying to be contemporary now, do you think they'll do a modern version of the intro theme or will they be so modern that they don't even have one anymore
There's no way they won't just reuse the original theme/remaster the original theme song. Though it will probably be changed to be more modern, which will probably lead to it being shortened as well.
Ngl. It's a bit weird seeing the show in digital
its all the tweening,
the way its animated and drawn reminds me more of cheap garbage like total drama island than it does the original Clone High
Why is Abe's voice just noticeably different in certain scenes.
Scratch recordings. They often use a volunteer to act early in production so they can figure out timing, lip movements, etc. The real voice actor may come along much later. This episode has selections of both the scratch and real recording, suggesting it's in a half-finished state.
its an unfinished rough cut with placeholder audio
placeholder actors. The writers or something recorded lines so the animators have something to go off of when putting everything together.
Just gonna chime in while you guys are talking about it
But holy shit I hope every single person on the board of shadowy figures was just a placeholder VA. They all fricking sucked, the board of shadowy figures should not be a diverse group of silly giddy people. The whole joke was that they were super serious, mysterious generic government men
pic unrelated, its just a nice bee
I feel like they won't be used in the season after that first episode and the original shadowy figure man will just have their role in the show replaced with the new girl for the rest of the season.
Yeah that was the worst part of the episode
I think the new board is fine. Though their commentary on the school seems more like meta commentary. Now the old board did have some comedic moments, but they were used so sparingly.
>Now the old board did have some comedic moments, but they were used so sparingly.
Those moments also worked because they were generic boring government men. It was funny to see them act silly because they normally don't.
The new board is like the opposite and they never actually act serious, its like a group of teenagers
The board was pretty goofy in the original, i mean they get frozen cause they wanted to take part in a conga line
>i mean they get frozen cause they wanted to take part in a conga line
By "goofy" I mean in how they speak. The board of shadowy figures did silly stuff like getting sponsored and getting sick pumas, but the way they delivered the lines is what made it funny.
You wouldn't remember the new board doing a conga line because they seem like the kind of people who would anyway. It was funny when the old board did it because they're a bunch of monotone old government suits.
It's obvious a lot of the dialogue was just some casualish reads, maybe for animation purposes or something. Sometimes the voice for one character would change mid-scene, even Abe.
I also noticed that it seemed pretty sparing with music, and I don't recall hearing many "transition jingles" or whatever they are called, little jingles that play when going to a new scene. I don't remember exactly if they had those in this, but audio in general was still definitely a work-in-progress. Some of the more polished lines (right VA and good recording) also felt like placeholders.
Anyone else annoyed about how they overdid Abe getting hurt? Felt like too much.
>they overdid Abe getting hurt? Felt like too much.
Felt like the snowflake day episode x10 with the amount of times Abe got hurt. Big day for Abe haters
By the time they got to the papercut thing I was getting used to the new amount of cartoony violence and I thought that gag wasn’t as bad as some of the preceedung ones. It was the Cleo hurting herself scene that made me more uncomfortable.
I love this b***h
Same. She’s just vibin’
I bet she has hairy legs and would let me nut on them.
Very weak-willed.
If she has a Peach Fuzz she's got hippie legs and I will rub my dick on them.
Where the frick do people like you even come from?
The sad thing is, Ghandi would've been the perfect character to have in an episode about people from 20 years ago being shocked about what's popular today and also could've led to at least one meta joke about cancel culture, which was the plot of the episode...
It's 2023. You can't have a brown kid of any extraction who's mostly interested in high-fives and finger snaps.
I will only find the Ghandi joke from the first episode funny if he comes back later in the season. Otherwise it's just them trying to be cheeky about a shit thing they're just doing anyway
Streets are saying that he's not coming back at all.
Ok so why is John Wayne there?
I dunno probably for something stupid like he represents toxic masculinity because he was known as a man’s man.
i used to have his quote on black people as a few keybinds in tf2
>his quote on black people
What he did say?
"I believe in white supremacy until blacks are educated to the point of responsibility"
thought it was pretty well known from that eric andre bit
Apparently an interview from 1971 where he shits on black people and natives went viral in 2019
Didn't he also have to be held back from rushing the stage when an native american was giving a speech at the oscars?
God, I forgot about that. Yes that was him, 2 years after the interview.
I remember that right after her speech, Clint Eastwood made a joke about all the cowboy deaths in films.
>being so mad that a real native american (albeit a Mexican Native) complained about the bad things happening to native Americans that you try rushing the stage
No wonder Marlon Brando didn't want to take the award.
She was literally a "trans racial" white girl and completely made that up. Turns out those types exhisted long before the internet.
>Littlefeather said her father was of Apache and Yaqui ancestry and her mother was of European descent. Shortly after Littlefeather's death, Navajo writer and activist Jacqueline Keeler interviewed Littlefeather's two sisters, who say that their family is not Native American and that Littlefeather fabricated her Native American ancestry. They also said that their father, who was born in Oxnard, California, was of Spanish-Mexican descent and had no tribal ties.
the frick
Does that part make John Wayne less racist?
I mean he didnt try to fight an indian woman on live cameras
John Wayne was extremely racist.
He's from an era where Hollywood was run by conservatives instead of Soviet spies.
Are you a fricking toddler?
No, I just sometimes like presenting question prompts that I figure anons will be eager to answer, because sometimes I learn new things from them. Like, I had forgotten or never heard all those specifics about the Little Feather thing.
I don’t get why anons like you are allergic to discussion.
There's a lot of people shitting on it in here but I actually really liked the episode. Sure the animation is a bit off and some of the jokes were a little too on the nose, but overall I thought it was great. Maybe I'm just desperate
>men explaining things is... le bad
I understand the reasoning of other woke talking points even if I don't agree with them but this one just leaves me perplexed. Why is this even a thing worth complaining about?
"Mansplaining" specifically refers to men who think they're know-it-alls and when explaining things are condescending and patronizing.
Though the joke with JFK didn't land at all imo. Since Joan literally didn't know what it was and he was going to answer.
This bit does a terrible job introducing the concept and makes it seem like a different thing. Which is good, because the real concept is a bit silly anyway.
“Mansplaining” isn’t supposed to mean any context in which a man explains something- it was about this more specific situation in which a man talks over a woman to over explain something she already knew or said, and often for him to be embarrassingly incorrect about it when she had a better grasp on it. And supposedly he steam rolls over her and takes the spotlight because of social dynamics between men and women, and because the man is being chauvinistic and domineering.
But the phenomena isn’t even that gendered, women do that shit too. And the word is too easy to over apply and lose meaning because it’s referring to an overly specific thing that either doesn’t come up that much or when it does is a little more complicated than the term makes it appear.
I'm reminded of how "gaslighting" quickly went from referencing a specific behavior, to a generic word that gets used completely interchangeably with "lying" no matter the context.
The one that drives me nuts is what the phrase "instrusive thoughts" has become. morons on tiktok confused it with impulsive thoughts and now people think it's something harmless like feeling the urge to dye your hair, instead of it being when you're hanging out with a friend and thinking you should murder them and eat their skin.
My favorite example is when you’re in a car and you get that urge to open the door and jump out. I like to think that one is common.
Or when you're in the passenger side and want to grab the wheel and swerve
Oh when you’re on the train platform and want to hop in there right as you see the train coming.
Or any place high where you get the urge to jump. Got that shit of a ferris-wheel once.
Whenever I ride my motorcycle I think about swerving the bars to one side a lot
>This bit does a terrible job introducing the concept and makes it seem like a different thing.
It's inaccurate but it was funny.
the fact that its more or less the same is enough for me. i'm surprised scudsworth voice is the same when the original guy said it hurt to do
Isn't it still offensive on the idea of having gandhi be forever frozen? Makes me think they can still bring him back if they're able to do jokes like that.
it's definitely going to be a plot if they milk it this much in the pilot
I dont know why their afraid of his followers. They're now even toilet trained.
Maybe they'll unfreeze him and end up going the Gary Coleman route after all.
Unironically this.
>"I haven't seen my best friend Gandhi anywhere. He isn't even listed in the student records. Something must be going on!"
>conspiracy episode
>"But wait... who is this other student? Gary Coleman? They made up a new clone to replace my best friend Gandhi in all the scientific records! But what would drive someone to erase the idea that there was ever a wisecracking, hyperactive, borderline-pushing teenage clone of well-respected historical figure Mahatma Gandhi?" (beat, looks at camera)
>eventually they find him and unfreeze him, oh boy it turns out Gandhi was never who he was, he was Gary Coleman all along and the name discrepancy (ie. "Gandhi? Nope, not on my list") is why he wasn't unfrozen
The script writes itself.
best idea to coincide with this: learning that he's actually a clone of gary coleman causes ghandi to reexamine his entire life and he ends up the pacifist leader the real ghandi was, but with a very coleman-skewed perspective.
>Abe: it's weird how much you've calmed down, Gary.
>Joan: Weird? More like amazing. Can you impart any wisdom to help me find my center?
>Gary: Meditate on this sacred koan: What are you talking about, Willis?
Overall I liked it. Nowhere near as bad as I was fearing it was going to be. Enough of the jokes landed that I was pretty positive about the episode. Only things I didn't like about it was the weird amount of cartoon gore in it that was pretty out of place and most of the voice acting is either bad or not as good as it was before. The only characters VA's that felt about the same were Joan's and JFK's.
Just get an Indian guy to voice Gandhi and get him back!
>Just get an Indian guy to voice Gandhi
Then he'd be a funny character in a completely different and unintended way.
it sucked so bad, animation aside, the premise is just so lacking.
i would've rather have the original clones be legally 36 and need to get real jobs and then scudworth deals with the new clones and he's the one getting cancelled. abe saying all that dumb shit in the tiktoks was extremely dumb but scuddy would absolutely do that
> the original clones be legally 36 and need to get real jobs
That sounds pretty funny, and I think they could still do it.
Does Abe deserve all this humiliation?
He’s not a real person, so, sure. As long as it’s funny.
As pointed out, he's a toon. Still, this would be the kind of situation Ghandi would normally have to get himself out o-
Oh right, he's not around. Guess that's why it fell on Abe.
I liked it a lot but I really miss ghandi
I liked it, but it still felt unfinished. The voices for some of the cast felt like placeholders, especially half of Abe's lines. Most of the jokes weren't gutbusters but they still landed Scudworth's scat joke being the highlight.) Not having Gandhi being the wild card that's usually driving the B-plot is definitely a bummer, but for the first episode the focus should be more on establishing new characters and dynamics, which they did plenty well. The most jarring thing to me was the amount of gore. I know a lot of people don't like premises based on cancel culture, but I thought it went well, Abe's bringing everyone together at his expense was a good touch.
7/10 for now but I'll watch it when it actually airs in its finished state. In the meantime I'll keep myself occupied by spanking it to Frida r34 pics.
>In the meantime I'll keep myself occupied by spanking it to Frida r34 pics.
Seriously?
do frida pics exist yet?
all the clone high related stuff from the survey the episode leaked from incase it gets taken down
>Frida and Harriet
>Girlboss
That is going to be so beyond grating
Yeah they're definitely using this for season 3, I don't know how will they respond to the "my favorite character isn't on it" option
Alright, where do I send it?
You need to find the link of the survey, good luck on that
damn, I must REALLY not like this show, I can't even fill this out without being jaded or rightly unfair. All the things that people like about Clone High just don't do it for me.
>This series follows ride-or-die best friends, Frida and Harriet, as they girlboss their way through high school. One is the class president, the other is the most likely to take Hollywood by storm, but both are determined to empower themselves and their classmates.
>flawless characters who never get the short end of the stick
How is this good for comedy? What the frick were they thinking?
"The TikTokers want that good rep, better give 'em what they want"
Wait, Frida and Harriet aren't antagonists?
They’re Cleo’s replacement.
>Please indicate how interested you are in each.
>Joan and JFK’s complicated relationship.
can’t help but feel like they’re gonna break up bros…
I hope they stay friends
>stay friends
Why cucks always want to stay friend with his ex?
Well in JFK’s case in particular, I think it might be good for him to continue to have a female companion that sees him as a person and not as arm candy or as a walking dick.
>The characters' iconic outfits
I swear to god if they butcher their designs any more
>The wacky adventures of scudsworth is just going to be about trying to frick the weird lizard woman
>"what's more important, being funny or being diverse?"
This is going to be absolute dogshit.
Not a single joke in the entire episode was good. I will not be watching the rest since I don't want my memories ruined by a weak continuation.
ok
I think that JFK should've been cancelled as well in the episode. But I guess with his failing upwards go to attitude, he can't fail. I mean dude literally asked Joan if she was drunk enough to sleep with
I think Harriet knows JFK is not the brightest student at Clone High but he has unnaturally high charisma about him and is so emotionally supportive towards Joan's feelings she finds it adorable.
JFK has always had that "I can fix him" energy to him.
How is it that tweening literally ruins every viusal gag always?
Things move unnaturally that's how
It’s the timing, tweened animation technically moves more than most TV grade traditional but there’s no purpose or precision behind it, every action feels belabored and slow *because* of the additional movement between the poses.
It’s more about technique than the tool though, Mercury Filmworks and a couple other studios have done work using rigs that doesn’t emulate hand drawn but is quite distinct, appealing, and not cheap looking. You can do uniquely bouncy fun stuff with it if you have skill and it suits the show and design.
Clone High was never a good fit for it though, even though its designs get compared to Total Drama the snappy pose to pose animation was absolutely essential to the original’s comedy and aesthetic. I think even people who aren’t that into animation will notice the downgrade
Joan acts far too different as a character
No you don't get it, she's empowered now and taking control of her own love life.
Last season where she was in love with abe and went after him instead of the more popular guys that were after her doesn't count, NOW she's in control of her own love life.

It was just mediocre
scudworth lore
Scudworth hand reveal when
>grifter parents
Neat. I hope that never comes up again.
It now makes perfect sense the context of Scudworth coming over to the party dressed like a Gang Banger because he's so cognitively out of touch with reality yet desperately wants his clones to admire him even tho they were programmed with the Teenage need to be defiant and anti authority
Also it's funny to hear the mad scientist and his robot sidekick use street slang.
STAMOS!
What is lizard lady’s name?
Candide somethnig
Oh I thought it sounded like it was Candy something.
We know it to be Candide from the leaked storyboards. I just don't remember her last name because there were no subtitles in the leak.
IT LEAKED? WHERE'S THE LINK

Wow, Ghetto smosh is hosting the entire leaked episode on twitter
I didn't think it was that bad tbh
definitely not velma bad like i've seen people say
how do i watch the leak?
About 4 posts back, hombre.
thanks bro
It made me laugh
Scudworth was still good but the rest was an extremely generic snoozefest with "social commentary" on the same level as the average social media post. Gandhi not being there is just hot sauce in the wound.
>Joan is now suddenly popular and wants to 'control her own sexuality'
>Cleo is now unpopular and single, but will yearn for any way to become popular again, and is established to find Joan attractive on some level
They're gonna frick and there's nothing you can do to stop it
Please post you image in a higher quality, I want to FAP, thank you
Make sure you select raunchy jokes in the survey
It was fine, but those new chicks being the most popular in school was very cringe. Maybe they were intentionally made that way to parody that highschool trope, but it falls flat.
I also have faith that they're setting up something more with Ghandi with the way they keep talking about him, like some season long punchline they're building up to.
truly nothing better than a 2 decades old show with a notably simple limited art/animation style looking worse when it's made today
Does anyone got a link to the episode?
it isnt out yet
moron
Someone posted it on Twitter
Why aren't they allowed to use Gandhi?
Black person :^ (
kys

indian cry babys and twitter in general
No, just Indian cry babies
There were some good ideas in there but the whole thing feels rushed. At least Scudworth is still funny.
>had no idea this was happening
>get excited
>it's shit
Why did they forget about the old designs?
too much boob for current year teenager designs
because they were throwaway gags
