Looks like J. G. Quintel is gonna be looking for work just like Olan Rogers

In all fairness, the marketing behind this series has been awful from the start. Like did anyone even watch Season 3?

I never liked his style. Storyboarding on sticky notes leads to very bland layouts and animation.
Literally none of the characters in this show feel relatable or even real like how Rigby, Muscleman, High 5 Ghost and even Mordecai and Benson could be relatable in some way
The daughter was consistently the worst character in the show. She peaks in awful behavior in Season 3.
its an "adult show" that had censored nudity
good riddance
Isn't that most American adult shows?
meh, I've been spoiled by Netflix. https://files.catbox.moe/ys7qgb.jpg
i dont understand why this never aired on tv but final space did. its amazing it got to 3 seasons
Blame the Merger. Its also the reason this show originally went from TV MA to TV 14.
I did, and it left me wanting more 🙁
That sucks. It wasn't as fun as Regular Show, but I was just getting into it finally. Put off watching it for a long, but it's pretty good.

Collab when? Either that or they team up and go columbine at the WB discovery headquarters
The show was shitty I don't care, I was just here for the Bridgette porn.
>human designs were the most weaker part of Regular Show
>Trying to fit adult jokes in a kid's show were one of the strong points of the show
>Let's make an adult show with human designs
Muscle man was the best design on the regular show
I just can’t get into family based animated sitcoms these days.
>Close Enough has been cancelled after 3 seasons
oh my god finally. This shit show couldn't go on indefinitely
I think Quintel's problem is that he wants Hollywood people at his shows, he could easily start a show on the internet and have used Regular Show clout to not have these problems
I assumed as much. Following the production during the years it went between announcement and S1, I was already seeing staff say they were moving on early into the show being released, it made it clear that at the very least releasing the episodes was so far behind that it wouldn't make sense to produce more. Production would stop, and it was going to take years to catch up, and calling everyone back in to start up again usually doesn't happen. Between that, bad marketing, and a very clear lack of faith in the show, even just from JG's name from RS, made me fully expect there wouldn't be a S4. It's sad, but I don't feel like it was about to find its legs or anything. We might have had better character stories down the road, but who knows. I'm sure a lot of great character focus was lost when 30m episodes became 11m, and they likely weren't going to find a way to reincorporate that focus into other, later produced 11 minute episodes, especially anything that was specific to storylines that got trimmed but still already exist like Randy's fear of losing his mom.
I love RS, and JG is cool, I don't mind being drowned in 80's references by a guy who has a clear passion for the time, but Close Enough was fairly disappointing. Not just the loss of charm and character punch, but the writing was stuff RS usually avoided. You could tell where RS crew members were involved and where different ones were, usually.
What burdens me from hearing this today is knowing how little Josh, the clear best character, got focus in the show by the end. I would have liked more family episodes, because I respected JG wanting to make an adult cartoon where they love each other and try their best, and Josh was always endearing in that regard. I only really liked him, Alex, and occasionally Emily. Bridgette was fine more or less. Candace was pretty annoying unfortunately.
I hope Quintel gets another project down the road, maybe it'll be better. I don't want him to be done yet.
>Network production is inefficient
what a surprise
You know, it's not a good sign that this is the first time a lot of people are realizing it even had three seasons.
I liked this show a lot, but it's not really surprising. Still, 3 seasons is better than Netflix would have given it.
