They're not magic, they're so shitty they detonate on their own. Each episode focuses on its own hyper jank unit, Zudah gets its episode and minorly shows up in the final. It's a good watch

The Gundam's creation opened the gateway for an arms race that saw Zeon doing everything they can to keep up and the Federation responding in turn. In particular, Zeon went from the standard Zaku II to machines like the Gelgoog, Big Zam, Elmeth, and Zeong in less than four months.
Yeah, the original MSG legitimately took place within four months. The story began on September 18 and ended on December 31. Both sides went from what is essentially cave man tech by Gundam standards to Newtype reliant MS in a short time frame.
Last we see the MC and her commander both retired in 0080, with her commander living somewhere presumably on earth. Don't know what her squad mates are up to then
They really should connect the story of Code Fairy to Gundam Aggressor. Based on what I can see, only the Red Rider should be the only active Pale Rider Project suit after the One Year War, fighting all the way to the Gryps Conflict. My guess is that Killy has to join the Aggressor Squad.

Don't forget the system's also so power hungry they couldn't even give the suit a beam saber, and so trash you can't even touch the thrusters without it overloading and crashing.

The story was that they made an all women team for propaganda purposes (for Kycilla, the team's success would show her commando teams are not to be fricked with, along with women leaders, IE Kycilla. For Gihren, it would show that Kycilla shouldn't be trusted if they failed.) When the Fairy team actually kicked ass Gihren tried to get them killed off as martyrs while Kycilla abandoned them to focus on the space effort. Despite them surviving, the team's propaganda value completely disappeared as by this point since Zeon was being pushed off Earth. They're only actively propaganda during the middle third, which is where the MC isn't even active for a large part of it due to being knocked into a coma by her rival and it's aftereffects on her psyche

Killy, and by extension her influence on her girls, is the only reason I liked the game as much as I did. The fact that she realized Zeon was dumb, that the Federation was going to win and made plans for herself and her girls accordingly was way too sensible and admirable for a Gundam sidestory. And it was great.
Everyone got off too easy in code fairy. I'm hoping it ups the stakes a bit more in the manga. What I appreciate about UC side stories is that they generally don't glamorize war fully. Yeah you still get a happy ending, but it was way too fairy tale in code fairy (inb4 it's in the name) I'm not saying it HAS to be doom and gloom, but was just way too canopy considering the background in the conflict.
The show that established the setting basically ignored the entire backstory regarding the war too, beyond the opening narration. If the narrator didn't mention the colony drop and that multiple Sides had been destroyed you'd never know it from the show, where no characters talk about it. Mobile Suit Gundam itself had a pretty campy ending too.
