always have loved colossus. most badass power ever, yet 100% melee (unless you're playing the arcade game and he can HOAAAARRRGHH)
I like his costume, but I think it would be better if he had pants and no shirt. He did that briefly in the animated series as I recall, to move a tractor, and that worked.
I also think he needs to grow a big ol russian beard.
It's also really tough to animate his power properly, since he grows as he metals up. but that little subtlety also makes it great. any modern designers would make him exactly as big in flesh mode (or make him super scrawny, so that he just poofs). Old marvel had great subtleties.

i looked it up! confusingly all the panels looked very modern, but they said it happened wayyy back, which doesn't add up, to me. the claremont era wasn't til the 70s, right?

why not just read shorts? artists and directors have the same problem with beast blue fur. they want to put clothes on characters who's entire aesthetic is not based on their costume. show is shiny metal torso and arms. that's the character.
