I really liked PC Principal as a new character even if I don’t like the arc storylines.
Serialization is what killed South Park. The vr episode was the last true great episode and then everything went south FAST. Its a clearer drop in quality than zombie simpsons. Not even that there’s an sjw character (pc principal) or the whole election storyline but that every season feels like one dragged out episode where jokes that didn’t quite land are dragged through the mud. The show also lost a lot of focus on the kids and some “episodic” episodes they did try to have like the one about beyond meat and manvearpig killing satan just end flat with no point because matt and trey are to scared to take a stand on any position now. Yeah I really liked it. Maybe it's because by proxy, it involved the kids' friend groups more since it was focusing on eric and Heidi. Other than the occasional pc principal stuff, it was really nice. Hell, most of the PC Principal plot was tied in with the nathan/Jimmy vs Leslie thing, which was one of my favorite side plots.
the side plot with Leslie and Jimmy/Nathan felt like it went nowhere and ended nowhere- both antagonists of this plot, Leslie and Nathan, sort just ended up being sucker punched by an adult with no buildup or reason and then weren't heard from again.
Heidi plot was like watching Randy, it's just a shittier Cartman and just a boring-ass background character with nothing going for her. She honestly should had been paired with Kenny if they wanted to do cute inoffensive shit and have Kenny finally get a gf that lasts for more than 1 episode.
I bet originally Heidi was suppose to be the AI girl, but Trey thought of it at the last second and it was too late to change her into Leslie or who knows what the frick Trey was thinking by separating the two.

I find characters like Butters, Cartman, Jimmy really easy to write because you know who they are, how they react, there's nothing nuanced and 180 degrees about them, unlike Kyle and Stan who come out of the left field with their actions. I have problems writing for Stan and Token especially, I don't know what the frick their deal is and how they're suppose to react beyond neutrality and slight annoyance, they're too normie to memorize correctly for me and to make them overly cartoony or memorable characters.

I find Jimmy enjoyable to write. I dont think hes a simple or"easy" character, but its probably my enjoyment of him that makes the task fun and thus easier. He's just so entertaining and a big part of writing him is imagining HOW he would say certain things, his voice and speaking quirks are a focal part of his character.

Of course, if the rest of the game alongside the tegridy shit is bad, then I'd be very disappointed.
