Not even top 5
on a pure entertainment scale maybe, but it's no masterpiece
It's a masterpiece of 80's action cheese.
It's literally fricking perfect, can't get better than it.
With every other Arnie classic you can complain at least about something but Commando is untouchable.
The entire ending where he's basically just strolling through a military compound annihilating everyone is completely ridiculous but it's also one of the best things I've ever seen
That's the best part of the movie.
Supposedly some studio guy had been spying on the Rambo 2 set and felt like they needed to up them.
If only we still had stuff like that still going on.
running man is his best one
>running man is his best one
its my alltime favorite but man its aged badly
predator is infinitely rewatchable and timeless
This movie is interesting. Arnold is a bad actor and wears some tight weird gay yellow shit and I still thought it was kino. How did they do it back in the days?
plus the rapey guy who hosted family feud at the time played the evil game show host
its predator
This, although Commando is probably my 2nd pick if I'm being honest
I've only seen Twins and Jingle All the Way so I'm gonna go with Twins.
It's definitely top 5
Anon! You son of a b***h! *clap!*
>has to assault an estate with a company size enemy force to free his daughter
>immediately start blowing shit up and firing rockets at jeeps and shit
>runs out of bullets because brought rockets instead
>begin using garden tool to go hand to hand
>best soldier in the world
Everyone that watches this movie is dumber than they were after it’s over.
I bet you didn't SAW that coming.
Imagine nitpicking commando of all things to cope with your intellectual security lmao
Sort your fricking life out mate
Everything you just quoted is fricking awesome
my dad let me watch this with him when I was like 9. really fond memory. love the movie
Watched it with my nephew when he was like 6.
We had a blast.
Contrarian pick: Kindergarten Cop
>Commando is the best Arnold movie.
Kindergarten Cop.
>Contrarian pick
Kinotarian pick
Someone make an edit where he punches her in the face after the ice cream
predator or conan is top arnold kino. commando is great in parts but is a messy whole. the best movie arnold's ever been in was terminator 1 though.
movie made me desperately want a daughter
>movie made me desperately want a daughter
i don't care pedo, i want a daughter
>i don't care pedo, i want a daughter
*hits pipe*
>movie made me desperately want a daughter
Expectations:
<- Reality
I always remember this scene wrong, “my friend is dead… … …tired”
Always disappointed on rewatch
probably for the best
arnie can't into comedic timing
Correct
It's not my personal favorite but it's so perfect and pure in what it is that I understand the position. It's the archetypal B action movie
>me getting ready to kill furries
WE FIGHT FOR LOVE
WE FIGHT FOR LOVE
Always thought it was the weakest of Prime Arnold flicks
weaker than Red Heat? Seriously?
Weaker than Raw Deal?
Pic related. Though I will say Emma Thompson was hot af
For me its' the last Action Kino.
>Leave anything for us?
>Just body bags.
Whoa! They even copied Trautman.

>not one mention of True Lies
Wrong
>Shoots OP.
Non-American here. Can you still buy all those weapons in California?
dont think a phased plasma rifle in a 40 watt range is available yet sorry
non-american gun lover here
The .45 I'm not too sure of in California. Most prober states, yes. Even most europeans if you're member of a gun club. But I'm pretty sure the sights/laster-thingy is complete bullshit
The Spas-12 is impossible to get a hold of anywhere sadly
The 1911 can be had but it has to be California compliant, in which it holds less than 10 rounds (common for 1911 in .45 ACP to hold 7 or 8), has a loaded chamber indicator, and a magazine disconnect safety.
Technically you could have an Uzi, but it involves a frickton of paperwork to be approved by the dog shooters at the ATF and you'd need another permit by the Cali DOJ. Not practical and also super expensive.
The SPAS-12 is unobtanium thanks to the Federal Assault Weapons Ban in the 90s. Stopped the import of these dead in its tracks.
Honestly, the answer was never not going to be Terminator.
It's my favorite, but it's even I have to concede he's made better movies.
Right ?
Wrong.
Lol. Of course not.
Conan the Barbarian = Predator = Total Recall = Terminator 2: Judgment Day > the rest
Total Recall is overrated, so is T2
Honestly, I'm gonna have to go with True Lies. Besides that one scene with the uzi that keeps firing while falling down the stairs, it's quite literally the singly most perfect movie I've ever seen. Conan comes second. The only Arnold movie I didn't enjoy 100% was The Running man
I feel like True Lies is Arnold conceding that the Jack Slater movie inside of Last Action Hero is what people actually wanted to see, then he just made it.
So “that” scene is perfect to you then?
its a mac10. god i love mac10s so much its unreal
UMP45 is better and more aesthetic, bro. Headshot immediately followed up with bodyshot. Goddamn I wasted so many hours in CS 1.6 and CS GO.
>Goddamn I wasted so many hours in CS 1.6 and CS GO.
Were you in a coma or smth while Source was out?
Terminator > Total Recall > Terminator 2 > Predator > Conan the Barbarian > True Lies > Commando
don't care about his other movies
yeah I knew he shot a rocket launcher in that movie. someone in another thread was trying to gaslight me about that.
So, what do you guys think about Last Action Hero? I like it a lot (maybe as a result of nostalgia but whatever), but no-one I know likes it
i never saw it in the 90s and watched it for the first time as an adult and was underwhelmed
bitchin' soundtrack though
>Commando is the best Arnold movie.
it was the most arnold of arnold movies
I like Predator, Total Recall, and Terminator 1 and 2 more. It's in the same league as Running Man or True Lies though. In other words, it's a 9/10 instead of being a 10/10.
honestly it kind of sucked
>honestly
But why would anyone believe you when you lie so much you have to preface the one "true" statement you make with a qualifier?
Yes
Definitely not, but it's the quintessential Arnold movie, in a way.
