I hope so. In the final season, Annie left him behind and Jeff ends up being a 40 year old community college teacher, single, with no family and an alcohol problem. He ended up being utterly alone while having to witness the people he cared about move on to bigger and better things.

There's something magic about Season 1. It's one of those rare few things that manages to be entirely of its time (it's so 2009) while still being timeless. It's comfy as FRICK, filled with great jokes and moments, and there's only one truly bad episode in the whole season.

Watched season 1 and 2 and parts of season 3 of Community back when it aired together with Cinemaphile. I think people realised something happened after the first season, it was turning into something different. I dropped the show mid season 3 because it just got too cringe and unfunny.
I just started rewatching the show and I'm almost done with season 3, and I have to say season 2 and 3 aren't anywhere near as bad as I remember but season 1 still stands out as being the only truly magical/great season.

Some of them are actually pretty amusing, like the Law and Order one, but it doesn't feel like an authentic setting with authentic characters anymore but just an excuse to parody things. Show became much too meta and self-aware by season 2.

Odd that there's so little love for Hickey. I thought he was a great twist to the old guy role, and the writers did great at playing with Jonathan Banks' type. I wish he would have stuck around, I thought he fit in really well.
It's a real shame they got rid of him but I blame Harmon not wanting to let Jeff ever be happy. Jeff could've learned to be a good teacher or at least not be miserable and Buzz could've helped that but Harmon couldn't let that happen.

I think he's just kinda boring. I can't remember any good jokes with/from him, and the only cool thing he did was put Abed in his place in that one episode. He just feels massively underdeveloped all around

Abed is based on one of Dan's real friends, his reference jokes are some of the best of the series.
He's really not funny as the show goes on. Too meta, up his own ass and abusive of everyone around for his own means, not unlike Harmon. And while Harmon may have initially based on Abed on his friend, he said that he saw more of himself in Abed than Jeff (his initial self insert).

I will note that apparently they got rid of the DND episode peoole had told me was one of the best ones because someone does black face, but there were episodes where they had an event called a troony Contest (or something like that) and a dance called the Gay Bash that both made me laugh my ass off

If Donald Glover doesn't reprise his role as Troi after having a prolific music career and creating Atlanta, I'll be so disappointed. I can just imagine a completely transformed, worldly Troi meeting Abed one last time before the two former best bros go their separate ways again. Also a metatextual scene where everyone acknowledges that Troi leaving was the best thing for him. Also there will probably be some forced Rick and Morty reference because of Harmon writing.
I would rather have no Troy at all than an unrecognizable Troy acting like he's better than everyone else.
Abed will have created a Rick and Morty type cartoon, with a huge cringe fanbase and he'll get fired from it for being difficult to work with. He'll come back to Greendale to regress.
