yeah season 1 is shot like an amateur pov porn, kino of the highest order. the first few seasons after that were kino too but season 1 was really something else, felt more like an art project but the subsequent seasons felt like they knew they were onto a lasting formula and started writing it like they knew they'd be around for a few seasons. went to shit around season 5 or 6 but still a peerless entry in the sitcom genre.
it pretty much a little less good each series with there being a steeper drop off after s4, another after s6, and then a very steep one after 7 with 8 being not that good and 9 being pretty shit.
S1 is less "funny" in some ways at least in terms of relying less on witty voiceover lines but I wish there was a series or two more that were in that style
