Also GxK had such a weird mix of constantly referencing the previous films while retconning them at the same time. If you've seen them, you know GxK is fricking around with the story, if you haven't seen them then the stuff about the Iwi, Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla is meaningless.

This was the dumbest shit I've seen since Moonfall but it was just the big dumb movie I was looking for.
moonfall was 100% dumber than GvK 2.
moonfall literally had a HOLLOW weapons platform moon with an alien AI nano swarm infesting it - which is defeated by another AI hiding from the alien AI but with the help of humans.
even fast X was smarter than that. it was true moronation

This movie felt like it had no overarching conflict or buildup. Shit just happens.
Yeah it's got very poor structure compared to the others. 2014 and Skull Island were about discovering these titans in the first place, so they slowly revealed what they were about and ended with a climactic fight. King of the Monsters was focused on the rest of the titans re-awaking and the conflict with Ghidorah, everything built up nicely to the finale. GvK was all about Kong and Godzilla's rivalry, it logically built that up through the whole film and ended with an extra villain who was hinted at right from the start of the film. But GxK has Kong wandering around doing... stuff, then he stumbles across the other apes by accident and Shimo is just there with no explanation, then it meanders into a climax which ends because the villain dropped his crystal.
I found it bizarre, each individual scene felt like it was building to something, but then it deflates the build-up and hops to something different in the next scene.
Does Kong have the Infinity Gauntlet on?
Kong gets a cut on his hand and then it gets infected, so to fix it they randomly have a robo kong-gauntlet that they just had lying around for no reason, which both uses green goo injections to fix the frostbite and makes monke ultra strong rather than just super strong.
This is an actual major plot point in the movie, along with kong's unrelated dentist appointment.

nah it was just an antiseptic injected to avoid the hand getting rejected during the grafting process.
most prosthetics require this since otherwise they start getting attacked by the body's immune system.
so there was an element of sense to it - if you know how prosthetics work.

i thought the alien reference was just explaining why the monster based society fell apart.
king ghidorah showed up and fricked up godzilla/ape protectors so bad he had to go into hibernation for hundreds of years and the apes just got full on wiped out.
They're also teasing Hedorah and maybe even humans trying to invade Hollow Earth. Whatever it is as long as it's focused on Godzilla the enemy can be whatever they want. I skipped this movie because I feel that Kong fatigue.
So glad that Millie b***h wasn't in this film. She was the WORST part of GvK.
