Luke wasn't political. He didn't care about the cause of restoring the Republic at all. He'd never even really knew what the Republic was like. He joined up because Obi-wan lied to him about Vader having killed his father, then his aunt and uncle were killed by Imperial troops who burned down his home.
Luke's involvement in the rebellion was purely personal, and after he reconciled with his father at the end of Return of the Jedi, he had no reason to be involved in galactic events anymore.
He's 19, long past time to accept being held back and slapped around by his uncle. Luke should have abandoned him even if he didn't get burned to death.
And yet he successfully redeemed Darth Vader, a goal that both Obi-wan and Yoda believed to be impossible, and as a result brought about the death of the Emperor.
If Luke had completed his training and dogmatically stuck to the Jedi way, he'd have killed Vader in their final duel, then died against the Emperor, leaving nobody left to carry on the Jedi way.
>leaving nobody left to carry on the Jedi way
If Yoda and Obi-wan had cared so damn much about that, they should've set up some secretive training academies then. Instead of waiting until the end of their lives to even start talking to Luke. And someone discovered the Force at some point, they'll rediscover it eventually. Plus Leia.
>No, Luke abandoned his Jedi training after a few days. He's the weakest and most unskilled Jedi in the entire franchise.
hes the man who "put down the gun" when it was his personal mission was joever
notice how Disney painted themselves into a corner by numbering their sequel trilogy? Now nothing important can happen episode 6 and 7; they can only go forward and double down on the sequel slop, or go back and keep milking the Clone Wars and cannibalizing the EU
Please just let Star Wars die already. They were great films but the franchise needs to be euthanized. It's in full blown beating a dead horse territory.
They already made 3 of those
link?
Let it go
The guys that just dicked around and did nothing while the REAL threat was building up in the background to be seen in the sequel trilogy?
NOT CANON, fricker!!!

>Luke flying around in his badass jet blasting blasting rodents with his chums
Had a decent life going. All he needed was a girlfriend

>soooooooo sick of Star Wars shit now.
how did it come to this, frens?
probably this, yes
but why is she allowed to keep doing ...anything?
Firing people shows a lack of faith in their project(s). This is why all leadership is kept around long enough to demonstrate the Peter Principle.

Go to bed Mark

Tell that to Alderaan.

or became his successor

No. Lucasfilm hates him and ruined his character. Doing prequel shit just reminds people of what happens to him.

No. No matter what you do, he eventually has to turn into Kennedy's moronic version.
no they ruined him, it's over
Star Wars is dead. Gen-X and Millennials are checking out and zoomers don't give a shit.

Star Wars died in May of 1999 for me. I suspected it was terminally ill in February of 1997.
Yes. Just need to do it like
The Wonder Years
or
Malcom in the Middle
in the year 2047 Star Wars will be completely rebooted
if they dont totally end the world in 2039
