Yeah probably, but the themes and story wont be nearly as significant or hit as hard. Half Life's story is very much based about the theme of "Freedom", and the way it expressed these themes was giving the player unparalleled interactivity in a linear story, creating dramatic irony on the concept of Freedom. In a film, the themes of Half Life, therefore, wont make as much impact because the viewer never had a chance to control the story to begin with.
>2030, half life movie >Gordon spends half an hour trying to solve a puzzle that looks incredibly obvious once you have the answer
at least it's faithful to the games
Why does everybody hate the vehicle sections so much? They always feel like a fun roadtrip to me. Drive along the highway, make a pit stop to kill some universohomos, and take in the scenery. I can understand people getting soured on the airboat for the chase sequences but there's only the one annoying encounter with the gunship that introduces you to the RPG
Wait it's actually past the part where you get introduced to the RPG, I'm talking about when you jump the broken highway with the gunship on your ass and the road is flooded with broken cars
>drive for 15 seconds >loading screen >drive for 15 seconds >have to get out of the car to clear out the road >drive for 15 seconds >loading screen >rinse and repeat
very drive. such fun. wow
Normal people don't hate them. They're fun and interesting. 4chins though, they hate and seethe about everything, no matter how minor, and it's all they want to talk about. They're far less like to talk about anything they like.
The driving parts are literally the only flawed parts of the game. Driving a few feet before clearing out enemies just to drive 5 seconds and do it again makes it a chore. Still fun, but it's not nearly as fun as the rest of the game. It just feels like a waste of time. Like I didn't even need the vehicle at all.
I hated the ravenholm section as a kid but on my most recent playthrough I actually kind of liked it. I also like how it’s visible from the end of water hazard right before you enter black mesa east.
Half Life ruined gaming.
how so
By making other games not worth playing. Personally I almost exclusively play Half-Life, Portal and source mods. I don't need anything else.
Half Life 1 no
Half Life 2 yes
It was the birth of unskippable cutscenes and "cinematic experience"
>It was the birth of unskippable cutscenes
Lol no
>and "cinematic experience"
Also no, and there's nothing wrong with that, you miserable contrarian.
Lol yes
>and there's nothing wrong with that
found the sonygger
ah, Falkreath
Adhd broken brained homosexual
Good game though. The first one at least. 2 is meh, hasn’t aged well.
Have a you, ya fricking failure
no, because the actual story is just a hwaffer-thin framework on which to hang annoying physics puzzles, mediocre combat, and minor action set pieces
>annoying physics puzzles,
t. smooth brain

Only if Blomkamp did it.
Blomkamp is a hack director. He's only good at directing VFX.
Children of Men did it years ago
>Children of Men
>not 1984 or Brazil
not if Netflix is doing it.Get Zack Synder.
Yes and it could have the greatest ARGs ever more kino than Cloverfield and Slender Man put together
The first would make a great flick tbtbh but they’d probably ruin it by having Gordon talk too much and make Reddit quips
I’m not suggesting
Kinda wish they didn't makeover the second one because of the leak.
A Half-Life movie would only be made for one purpose.
The resurrection of practical effects.

We don't go to Ravenholm.

only ONE man (insert white actor of your choice) can take on the whole establishment...
and WIN
Daily reminder that zoomer half life hate stems from not having a PC/VR system that can play Half Life Alyx. It’s all basically cope over that.
