He like Candance is essentially the protagonist of his segment.

It would lose the only real reason to watch, idgaf about what the kids are doing.

As a kid, it was the opposite for me. I was almost exclusively invested in whatever Phineas and Ferb (and Candace) were up to in a given episode. Doof's monologues made me lost interest every time. It took years for me to really appreciate how hilarious they all were: https://youtu.be/ST0ayVGjc3U

I remember that they had the Top Gear guys cameo on one of the episodes, did they have any other very British references or guests over the course of the run?

Anon, the show came out 17 years ago. A "kid" when it aired could very well be in their 30s by now with a wife and kids.

I was 14 when it premiered and didn't get into it until my early 20's iirc, was dragged along to a birthday party or something of a friend of my mom's and it was on the tv.
Klimpaloon was just so fricking random i had to see more.

me2, still I think Phineas and Ferb as a whole was mediocore

Agreed, i'd trade it for reruns of almost anything airing on toon disney back in '99.

He is legally an ocelot, should we call animal protection?

Also, it would be a good plot for an episode, Perry can't do anything against Dofermish because the ocelots are in danger of extinction.

Probably not. More than half the time he's what cleans up their invention of the day.

Does anyone else find it weird that your 12 minute cartoon segments need to be carried by a recurring B plot about a wildly different formula. It feels like Perry could have carried a show better on his own.

Phineas and Ferb Doof and Perry were the glue holding the show together without any of them you’d get no show.

this isnt exactly related but the show's mega seems to be missing a few early episodes for some reason

      Anonymous

A few? I thought it was only missing one episode in season one? Either way it's weird. Had to swing over to Disney + to catch it. That and the mega has the show in an order that neither, Disney +, the original broadcast, or production codes have them listed on.

No. Someone here once mentioned how Phineas and Ferb themselves are essentially just plot devices, without Doof you barely have a show.

Doofenshmirtz and Candace have always felt more like the actual protagonists of most of the series.
