I don't think anyone has ever explained to me what the frick do you do with a digital asset other than just own it.
It's one of the only times something makes the copyright system make sense because at least if you own a copyright to something, you can create digital assets, and physical assets of that something.
It's nice that David wants to give out physical gifts along with the NFTs for this project but I think he should abandon NFTs all together and just stick to mocking the current generation's obsession with crypto currency. Maybe have the main characters find out these crooks are using crypto to buy drugs, maybe a have a joke where a rich butthole is just looking at his NFT while his life falls apart because he spent his life savings on it which brought his family apart BUT HEY, at least he owns a digital asset.
the problem is the platform that is supporting this series is literally run by crypto people and I'm pretty sure david believes in that stuff too otherwise he wouldn't have pitched this there

its just investing hoping to sell later for profit, people realised there is no real use for them and hold no tangible value now and so the prices are all tanking, which makes it a snowball effect.
