That's what I had thought was supposed to be the cause. Early on at least. But in later seasons they made it really obvious and clear that every operative knows decommissioning is a thing and knows exactly when it will happen. There's no way it could have surprised her. Unless the idea is she ran from it, which is totally fair and a thing I'm surprised they didn't do more often.
Why are you drawing attention to her skin color? If you want to know why progressives don't mention her is because they want to pretend that representation started in 2016

Cree was never formally decommissioned. She went AWOL when she turned 13, same as Chad.
