I don't know. It seems like it's forbidden to have any minority or woman have/show a negative character trait, so just push that a little further and don't allow any negatives for anyone.
It doesn't. OP is wrong about that. Snyder can claim he's voting democrat and he's a liberal and all that but a lot of his sensibilities are borderline fascist.
>haha I’m one of the GOOD whites, once the terror starts and all the BAD whites start getting killed I’ll be fine
I swear to god you people are beyond parody, beyond irony, beyond reality and beyond pity.
Jews are getting ivy league presidents fired and putting out multi-million dollar ad campaigns during sporting events demanding people like them because some students dared to question Israel blowing up kindergarteners on live TV. Those same israelites informed that book.
>HEAR YE >HEAR YE >KNOW ALL, FAR AND WIDE >THAT HIS LORDSHIP CAESAR >IN HIS INFINITE WISDOM >HAS DECLARED THAT THIS, >THE FIRST POST >IS, IN FACT AND WITHOUT QUESTION, >THE BEST POST >IT HAS BEEN SO DECREED
this shit is just every sci-fi and fantasy trope thrown together into an incoherent plot full of shitty cgi and le snyder slow-mo for no reason.
you literally have to be 8 to be excited about this slop.
Charlie Hunnam is clearly Han Solo if Han were actually a greedy coward who dies after betraying the others. The main girl is obviously Luke, she'll probably get a laser sword like the Chinese woman in the sequel.
It really is edgy Star Wars >Obi-Wan (Sofia Boutella) but she's a war criminal and killed her Princess Leia >Han Solo (Charlie Hunnam) but he's actually just a greedy jackass who sells everyone out and dies >Farmboy Luke (Michael Huisman) has no combat experience and no force powers, can't fight >C3P0 (Anthony Hopkins) is miserable because he was discarded and no longer has a purpose >You can only use lightsabers if you cut your hands off and replace them with cybernetic limbs because the blades are superheated metal >Empire are actual fascists and use real terror tactics to keep people in line >Prostitutes >Rape
>>Han Solo (Charlie Hunnam) but he's actually just a greedy jackass who sells everyone out and dies
Luke (Michael Huisman) has no combat experience and no force powers, can't fight >only two white guys in the entire movie are either weaklings or bad guys that die
lol, sure sounds like netflix.
Star Hammer 40k - Episode I: A Child of Firefly (slow-mo cut)
So frickin sad DUNC 2 was delayed while this piece of shit was hyper through the whole fricking year, I'm mad that i can't compare rebel moon to a superior Movie.
>You can only use lightsabers if you cut your hands off and replace them with cybernetic limbs because the blades are superheated metal
Can't they just wear gloved or have a longer hilt?
Holy shit. Is the common language called Gothic too? What the literal frick, Snyder. I hope Games Worship takes this hack gaygit to court. They don't even have to win. Just make him defend this garbage in court.
I don't believe you, the only Snyder movies i like are the dawn of the dead remake, 300 and watchmen.
All of them adaptations, the thing with Snyder is that Everytime he tries something of his own and being "original" it always fails miserably.
M'man! 4 protagonists of REBELDE WAY (that CHARISMA, that TELENOVELA DRAMA, that PASSION, that SOUNDTRACK, prime LUISANA LOPILATO) >>> an entire cast of REBEL MOON along with its mid CG visuals & score: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1rnCUQXIyw
Sneeder should've watched a few episodes of REBELDE WAY to get some fresh inspiration.
>With the exception of white man bad
in that case i don't want to see it. i have not seen a fantasy or scifi movie in decades where white men were actually potrayed as cool and masculine heroes. all the movies i can think of only depict them as bad guys or weaklings and losers to make women and blacks look smart and good in comparison.
Not gonna lie I got a good giggle out of "I took inspiration from samurai films for my scifi franchise"
I'm wondering if Zach Snyder is even aware thats one of the exact same inspirations as George had for star wars because he said that shit in interviews like it was a unique selling point.
Maybe it was a commentary on the Disney SW sequels, him saying this was like a dog whistle for all those morons that think George would have done a better sequel trilogy so Snyder pretended to be Lucas but the thing is that he isn't Lucas and he will never Lucas.
I was very confused that the robot didn't go with them. I was expecting him to be part of the story, but after the two leads leave the village, those characters are never seen again.
There's not even a point to their recruitment. Let's gather all these disgraced heroes to muster up an army to defend our farm. Ok, turns out you have like 8 people, what the frick are they gonna do against a ship that can blast them from space? But hey, they somehow managed to kill the big bad. Yet they go back to the farm anyway. All, what, 5 of them? 2 people left to gather forces, they came back with 3 more.
Did you miss the bit where their plan was literally to get help from the rebel leader who had an army?
(I'm pretending to ask a question even though I know that the answer is that you barely paid attention as you hate-watched this in the background while shitposting)
Bro they went to the rebels and got 3 or 4 people out of it. 3 of which died in the final fight. If their plan was to get the help of the rebels why do they ride back to the farm with just the bald nameless rebel chick?
i also like how everyone just joins them with absolutely zero reason to do so except MUH revenge. no plan or ideas, just "pls defend our farm against the gigantic military might"
Oh yea, I thought the soldier turncoat would go with them as well, but that guy doesn't even get a line of dialogue. Feels like this should've been a miniseries. Just focusing on the A plot, going planet to planet for recruits for the big showdown at the end was a slog. It should've cut inbetween them with the farm storyline progressing. The robot, rape girl, soldiercuck, the death of their leader. Why leave all those plot points in the air and instead focus on dull 10 minute action scenes where one person does his thing while the others watch like dummies. Especially during the drieder fight.
It's ok, I keep trying to remember why they wanted to recruit the robot hands japanese lady. I know she cut up 2 dudes in the final fight. Great contribution.
not a Synder fan but I liked it. felt like Honor Among Thieves but in space. but I should also mention that the movie I had watched previously was The Green Knight which was so slow I was desperate for an action movie with some pacing.
all I know about Snyder is Justice League which I didn't care one way or another about, though I like Henry Cavill (mainly because of The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), and Zodiac.

man you got something on the brain. that post you quoted was a joke about how people design cool characters for tabletop RPGs and then play them boring
Regardless of everything else, the soundtrack was fricking incredible.
It elevated the film so much. The film is otherwise flawed but really fun and better than most films of the past year.
>the soundtrack was fricking incredible.
There was a soundtrack? I did not notice.
Where is this movies Star Wars theme? Where is the Pirates of the Carribean theme? Where is literally anything at all that is at last somewhat memorable?
This is completely unremarkable and generic background noise. And the music during the action scenes just sounded like a ripoff off his own work on Mad Max.
You know how some videogames kinda blur the background when talking to an NPC? It's pretty distracting in the first few scenes because it kinda makes everything that's not in focus look fake. You still notice it afterwards, but it's not that bothersome once you have the expectation that it's supposed to look like ass.
Should've hired a proper dialect coach, this was the worst Scottish accent I've heard on film in a long while & this dude is British, so it makes zero sense why he don goofed so bad.
very stupid and cliche movie but enjoyable in it's own way. felt a bit like something that syfy would have made in the past and that's a good thing
those million slow motion shots really don't work with scifi guns. should've left those to 300
>I-it's copying!!
Literally everything is based on something that came before. Star Wars was clearly the biggest inspiration here, and that franchise was built on Dune, Flash Gordon and Kurosawa.
The entire middle part of the movie - all the way to the end - is basically a collection of tik-tok video clips, losely connected by the "Let's assemble a team" premise of the story. A story that introduced more characters than were nessecary, especially since NONE of them actually get to do anything in the story - at least so far.
The gay bar not-cantina should have had sexy girls in it - this movie's version of Twi'leks or something.
I am getting sick of the "evil nazi" stereotype for a villain - should've been more creative there.
Also, how exactly is a team of has-been personalities going to help against a space-ship with an "I-Win-Button" (nukes) ?
Also, the main character should not have been designed like a no-jedi. They should have turned her into a sexy han-solo type of character - at least in the way she / her outfit is designed. Submit to the male gaze, woketards!
This movie was OOZING with so much potential but it all went down the drain, sadly.
I especially liked some of the designs - the main character's pisotl, for example, or the overly decorated android / robot. Or the not-warhammer guys in red, who follow the antagonist along.
This could have been the new Star Wars - a movie that has people talking about it even 50 years from now - but they decided to play it save and to appeal to the lowest, common denominator. It should have been rated R, unapologetically "right wing" in how it portrays characters, less diverse / anti-white, etc.
It could have been such a great movie, had they just changed about a handful of things.
But the way it is, one can only hope that people will not have entirely forgotten everything about it by the time the 2nd part of what should have been 1 single, long movie will come out next april.
>how exactly is a team of has-been personalities going to help against a space-ship with an "I-Win-Button" (nukes)?
wondered this myself until the very end. basically their commander decided to play it stupid when he said "bring her to me alive" and "snuff out the rebellion to every man" so now they can't just nuke a planet from orbit and call it a day because they need to capture and/or interrogate.
>should have been rated R, unapologetically "right wing" in how it portrays characters, less diverse / anti-white, etc.
have a nice day, you humongous homosexual
He literally posts here. I know he's read my posts because I talked shit about something in his last video and his next one did exactly what I suggested.
It was mids didn't hate didn't love, would've liked a little more backstory considering theres no source material, instead of a linear getting the gang together, will watch part 2
What a giant piece of joyless, lifeless turd, cliche after cliche (the script goes all over the place & makes the Terrio Snyder Cut seem quite tame & competent by comparison), exposition dump on top of other exposition, wooden actors (the worst one & the most unbearable of the bunch is that incel Snyder self-insert bearded friendzone of a non-character), awful soundtrack (constant loud & obnoxious Zimmer-heavy sounds), story & world-building that you don't give a shit about.
I legit laughed out loud maybe 3 times during the whole movie (as if Rich Evans was by my side) at how bad some of the scenes were or that dyke actress' godawful seething/angry scream after the death of that Marvel's X-Men's Bishop pastiche fella played by Ray Fisher (one of the worst performances in the film, no Warner Bros to blame or campaign against this time around, kiddo) or that final battle that just WENT ON & ON (and I was yelling 'ENDS, ENDS!' & it still went on).
Who is the target audience for this soulless crap made by an insufferable egotistical madman (besides the insanely devoted Snyder cultists)? I don't see this trash compactor of a 'film' with its lofty messages & pseudo intellectual/socio-political aspirations appealing to zoom-zooms or the TikTok generation of youngsters?
Is there a REAL demand for an Extended Cut (because by the time it was over, it was a real chore to sit through & a painful viewing experience, I never EVER want to revisit THAT universe EVER AGAIN) or Part II or an animated spin-off - Netflix went full moron & I hope that their investment in Snyder's bloated & self-important parody of Star Wars blows up in their faces. Dealing with Snyder is akin to the kiss of death for any potential cinematic project.
Don't ever want to see anything made by this pretentious 4-HOUR CUT douchebag charlatan ever again. R.I.P., Bozack Sneeder!
>white male teenagers
Yikes, I doubt that the white blood of today will accept the latest Snyder slop as their new select sci-fi franchise (the merch is expensive as frick). They can't be that naive.
digimon ginsu always brings a solid performance but idk, i'm kind of done with all the woman strong stuff, but it's good to see jax teller getting work again.
solid 5.5/10 would pirate again
The main villain is played by a gay guy, Admiral Noble is played by a half israeli actor and that pervert in the cantina is literally a dysgenic homosexual.
>30 minutes in >40k, Star Wars, Nords in space, seven samurai...etc >I'm already listening to the Ben-Hur ost
wtf was going on here? Are these two gonna kiss or some shit?
Just finished watching it. Its objectively a bad movie, writing is awful, everyone is stilted, cant act for shit or just have 0 chemistry. That last general dude they went for did absolutely nothing, he barely had any lines. Having said all that, i still liked it, theres very few entertaining scifi shows, so ill take what i can get, plus the main actress was cute
How did the Dreadnought at the end blow up? I was watching the whole fricking time and couldnt figure it out, all they killed was a single gunner on it?
Yep, its like the movie was written by a child. For me it was, the spiderlady and asianlady fight. Those two fighting to death while everyone just stood and did frick all
>I wanted more of the robot
Shit was so fricking hilarious when le roboknight showed up AT THE END OF THE FILM, OUT OF FRICKING NOWHERE with DEM ANTLERS.
So this is not a good show, but the fact that white men are portrayed badly is actually one of the only redeeming factors it has.
The story is as everyone has noticed almost cartoonishly derivative, the acting is OK but adrift from and core momentum to give it purpose. The visuals have a sheen but it's hollow.
But despite all of that its not only making a timely and optimistic assertion of the roles of white guys as being either negative or pitiable - which is a super accurate and assertively direct analogue to their current actual social, cultural and increasingly reproductive status in the western world. Its a cute touch and the empowerment throughout the show of non-white minority characters and women of colour just further helps the whole thing regain some real value and just some aesthetic and symbolic worth as - if not a half decent sci fi epic - then a delightfully high budget put down of white guys.
I'm actually not against this. The strong, Crypto-religious fascists are all physically fit white men. As long as this keeps going, white young men will start identifiying with it more and more
>diverse cast >White man bad >strong woman of color protagonist >CGI slop overload >hack snyder directed >goyflix produced
If you didn’t know this was gonna be shit you might consider killing yourself now
no it wasn't. every combat scene was littered with slow motion. the black dude running at the ship was the funniest, saddest shit i've seen in a movie.
The part after when she's somehow able to run through all the soldiers, slide under the crashing spaceship and then appear on the buoy just sealed the deal for me. I fricking knew the cut was coming and she'd be on top of it. And then we have the too long fight scene where he gets stabbed through the chest and looks pretty fricking dead, only to be brought back to life 5 minutes later. How much time and money was spent for THIS? This fricking SHIT.
>The part after when she's somehow able to run through all the soldiers, slide under the crashing spaceship and then appear on the buoy just sealed the deal for me.
why didn't she just shoot the bad guy? She had a gun just blow his head of lol
Not one original thought in this entire movie. Every single scene is stolen from something else. There are some scenes literally frame by frame taken from Akira.
yeah it's another "good guys heckin diverse", "bad guys white" movie. i'm starting to get sick and tired of hollywood not having the balls to stick their diversity quota in both good and bad guy casting.
that said, i respect snyder immensely for swallowing his pride and striking a deal with wokeflix just to get a chance to bring something to a western male audience that is thirsting for some good content.
i'll take what we can get and found rebel moon to be better than expected
i'm the anon you replied to and i agree. i think the race baiting got blown out of proportion and what it seems like to me is netflix just forced them to check their little checkboxes for all the high paying "good guy" parts and didn't touch anything else. that's why it seems to me that the casting is a result of what must have been dreadfully painful haggling on the part of both sides
SO general consensus is >we wait for the directors snyder cut
of this otherwise kino movie that was butchered by netflix execs to give people a pg13 version and now were forced to wait for the R rated snydercut
Kind of.
As is, it's really fun and generally entertaining. But the pacing is seriously off and there's a few small teases of things that you know will be addressed properly in the dx.
If no other cut was released, it would still be a good film and better than most films released this year. Theoretically, the dx cut might be almost as good as BvS
That's too big an exception for me

Yup.
Not really. Villagers are good, king is good. Low class soldiers and tentacle degen admiral are bad.
White genocide is real and it is systematic.
Hardly. It's barely worse than the majority of 2000s stuff. The village they are protecting is full of whites with names like Gunnar and Hagen.
Just not interested in watching a movie that shits on me

All white men in this movie are evil, cowards, or traitors lmao
Hollywood.
Farm guy has a moment of heroism. They gave us that.
Nope. Village leader is a good guy, grandpa main girl is living with as well.

That would be great except for the last four words, tbh.
Copying star wars isn't a good idea these days anon.
Only if its nu-Wars.
Probs best not to copy most of the prequels either. Also return of the jedi is a bit weird.

very stupid and cliche movie but enjoyable in it's own way. felt a bit like something that syfy would have made in the past and that's a good thing
those million slow motion shots really don't work with scifi guns. should've left those to 300
Definitely not copying other people's work.
>I-it's copying!!
Literally everything is based on something that came before. Star Wars was clearly the biggest inspiration here, and that franchise was built on Dune, Flash Gordon and Kurosawa.
There's a pretty big difference between copying something and innovation. Don't be a cuck.
but Star Wars combined all these into something new.
Snyder just mashed shit together that doesn't fit the slightest.
Come on man, Snyder himself called it "Le STAR WARS FOR ADULTS"
There's a line between inspiration and imitation. Snyder only knows how to imitate. The movie was uninspired garbage.
Should have copied the female character / costume deisngs, at least.
The only good things about this shit were Ed Skreen and the fact it doesn' have a single Marvel tier quip.
That movie was awful and I'm not gonna elaborate any further
There isn't any more "white man bad" than there is in Star Wars. The most heroic guy in the movie was white.
Michael Bay is a better filmmaker than Snyder
>Sneedercrapo
>plebbit capeshitters pulling teeth trying to make stuff up to criticise the film over
Nice picture of the b***hes who would laugh at you if you asked them to watch rebel moon with you anon.
>Snyderkino
That means it's crap?
>How dare you don't want the movie to actively hate you? KYS!
You are stupid.
you sound like the biggest fricking whiny homosexual i have ever seen
pls tell me how this movie actively hates you, so i can laugh at your incel ass
Do you write for the critical drinker
this gay has buckbroken Cinemaphile
i still don't know if we are pro or against Critikal Drinker
>Who is the target audience
indians and white male teenagers
>white male teenagers
Yikes, I doubt that the white blood of today will accept the latest Snyder slop as their new select sci-fi franchise (the merch is expensive as frick). They can't be that naive.
>bottom asian toy already from the sequel
the fact that Snyder actually thinks this shit wil become a major franchise is fricking hilarious
>Snyder
>kino
Pick one.
digimon ginsu always brings a solid performance but idk, i'm kind of done with all the woman strong stuff, but it's good to see jax teller getting work again.
solid 5.5/10 would pirate again
>digimon ginsu always brings a solid performance
he has literally only 15 lines of dialog
work is work, and he always brings his a-game.
Shan't be watching
>look its just like star wars
No you uncultured swine, its a 40k rip off
just think about how good the Snyder cut is gonna be if Rebel Moon pg-13 was already great
GOOD MORNING
turned off this trash 30 min in
god what absolute drivel
Rebel Moon is unironically more woke than Wonka. At least that had a black man as the villain
The main villain is played by a gay guy, Admiral Noble is played by a half israeli actor and that pervert in the cantina is literally a dysgenic homosexual.
>30 minutes in
>40k, Star Wars, Nords in space, seven samurai...etc
>I'm already listening to the Ben-Hur ost
wtf was going on here? Are these two gonna kiss or some shit?
le evil man does le evil thing
BRAVO

I can't see shit in this film, too damn dark & blurry. Maybe my TV is broken
works fine on my machine
also way more entertaining than any capeshit still highly flawed
Just finished watching it. Its objectively a bad movie, writing is awful, everyone is stilted, cant act for shit or just have 0 chemistry. That last general dude they went for did absolutely nothing, he barely had any lines. Having said all that, i still liked it, theres very few entertaining scifi shows, so ill take what i can get, plus the main actress was cute
If this is bad what does it make all the other shit that's so much worse?
Iconic 2023 consumer moment
OH BIG SURPRISE IT'S ANOTHER SNYDER-STINKER JFC SOMEBODY STOP THIS MOTHERFRICKER
How did the Dreadnought at the end blow up? I was watching the whole fricking time and couldnt figure it out, all they killed was a single gunner on it?
When the gunner dude got killed, the black guy or the gunner pulled down the control stick, so the thing crashed with the bridge and blew up
>Gunner can also fly a gigantic ship and theres no backup or overrides
This movie is fricking horrible
Yep, its like the movie was written by a child. For me it was, the spiderlady and asianlady fight. Those two fighting to death while everyone just stood and did frick all
Dude, you're a completely stunted manchild. Grow up. And that's not even what happened in the movie.
Yeah whole thing is thinly plagiarised, wouldn't be so bad if you had something good come out of it, but its full of moronic bullshit.
>it's another "girlboss" brown people shit show
Yea, frick off with that trash.
>When your main cast are a detriment to your movie
I wanted more of the robot
The village having to live with the soldier garrison and dealing with the problems would have been more interesting than what we got.
Was probably the best part of the movie
>I wanted more of the robot
Shit was so fricking hilarious when le roboknight showed up AT THE END OF THE FILM, OUT OF FRICKING NOWHERE with DEM ANTLERS.
He'll be back in Part 2.
Snyder watched 7 samuari once, went on a tvtropes binge, watched a youtube video about how epic warhammer 40k is and made three movies about it
So this is not a good show, but the fact that white men are portrayed badly is actually one of the only redeeming factors it has.
3/10
>bad guys are white
>bad guys are accidently coolest shit in the movie
Avatar all over again
I'm actually not against this. The strong, Crypto-religious fascists are all physically fit white men. As long as this keeps going, white young men will start identifiying with it more and more
>diverse cast
>White man bad
>strong woman of color protagonist
>CGI slop overload
>hack snyder directed
>goyflix produced
If you didn’t know this was gonna be shit you might consider killing yourself now
It's 7 samurai in space.
Plus Star Wars and Warhammer 40k
no it wasn't. every combat scene was littered with slow motion. the black dude running at the ship was the funniest, saddest shit i've seen in a movie.
This fricking SHIT.
not to mention when they brought him back to life he got all his teeth back lol
>they didnt bring him back, but this time in power armor or completely augmented
lame, if you're gonna steal from 40k, might as well go all the way
>The part after when she's somehow able to run through all the soldiers, slide under the crashing spaceship and then appear on the buoy just sealed the deal for me.
why didn't she just shoot the bad guy? She had a gun just blow his head of lol
Not one original thought in this entire movie. Every single scene is stolen from something else. There are some scenes literally frame by frame taken from Akira.
yeah it's another "good guys heckin diverse", "bad guys white" movie. i'm starting to get sick and tired of hollywood not having the balls to stick their diversity quota in both good and bad guy casting.
that said, i respect snyder immensely for swallowing his pride and striking a deal with wokeflix just to get a chance to bring something to a western male audience that is thirsting for some good content.
i'll take what we can get and found rebel moon to be better than expected
>respect snyder immensely for swallowing his pride and striking a deal with wokeflix
If you think Sneeder isn't one of the wokest directors in Hollywood and Netflix had to impose anything on him you need to quintuple your meds.
Yeah except the village they are defending is basically entirely white.
i'm the anon you replied to and i agree. i think the race baiting got blown out of proportion and what it seems like to me is netflix just forced them to check their little checkboxes for all the high paying "good guy" parts and didn't touch anything else. that's why it seems to me that the casting is a result of what must have been dreadfully painful haggling on the part of both sides
disney made the right call when they didn't pick this one up
SO general consensus is
>we wait for the directors snyder cut
of this otherwise kino movie that was butchered by netflix execs to give people a pg13 version and now were forced to wait for the R rated snydercut
Long drawn out backstories for the characters they find and some blood are not going to save this.
It's solid as is. Better than all his other movies not based on comic books.
Nothing to save as of now.
Kind of.
As is, it's really fun and generally entertaining. But the pacing is seriously off and there's a few small teases of things that you know will be addressed properly in the dx.
If no other cut was released, it would still be a good film and better than most films released this year. Theoretically, the dx cut might be almost as good as BvS
R for moronic Cut
if anyone is on the fence about RM but willing to watch it, consensus should be to wait for a cut with breasts and blood in it
