I rewatched Existenz the other month and it's crazy how accurate the performances of the npc are to actual video games, including bad performances (Jude Law's accent pyrposely slipping in the game world) and npc script breaking. Feels like a Bethesda game.
The Fly is his best.
Are you me? I made a similar thread last week that generated some discussion after watching Scanners and Videodrome. The Fly is also great.
Fellow Cronenburger!
The Fly is better because the sex scene, I liked The Brood and The Death Zone is brettty good too.
ok I'm pretty sure that last bit wasn't in the movie
Should’ve been, one way or another…
American Psycho is Videodrome for women and gays.
good point anon
I think it's generally agreed that The Fly is better but Videodrome was interesting in its own right.
The fly is worth watching once or twice but I can watch videdrome anytime it's a whole feel
Maps to the Stars is 10x better
it shows blondie having sex
>known for being a blondie
>looks hotter as a brunette
She has pretty sinuses
Long live the New Flesh
for me it's A History of Violence
crash was made for me
What happened to him? Mainstream sellout? I heard Carpenter said something about it.
I saw his latest movie and it doesn't seem like he sold out to me.
Just the opposite, Carpenter said he was way too far up his own ass.
I'm kind of a Maps to the Stars/Cosmopolis guy these days.
I actually just now finished a Videodrome rewatch. My favorite from him is Crash (1996). Dead Ringers wasn't bad either.
I’m gonna check out Crash tonight.
Videodrome > Naked Lunch > The Fly

I liked Spider. Videodrome was good, too
>i watched videodrome
>i watched videodrome
>i watched videodrome
>and lost my mind
Why didn't you lads tell me how kino Eastern Promises was? A History of Violence was kind of shit compared to that movie.
I just saw that one for the first time a few nights ago. Yeah that was good stuff.
