What is the reason we are never getting crossbone anyway? Its connection to f91?
Can't figure why, honestly. I just finished steel 7 and I think it may be my all time favorite gundam media. Im putting a hold on my gunpla collection to buy the various metal build crossbones. Im infatuated. Started Ghost today. Hopefully it's good.

This is probably the real reason. Most of the suits that the suits think would sell already have kits.
Late UC. After Victory and F91 just weren't very popular, late UC doesn't get touched outside kits, and even then it's not like we have a wide breadth of Victory kits to pick from when you look past the Gundams themselves. It's been 30 year and UC is diehard fans with the deepest wallets, so I think a Crossbone OVA would probably do well.
There'd be some slight design change for the anime and they'd pump out HGs with that shit, and getting an anime would mean we'd get a good chunk of suits that aren't the Crossbones for once.
They could do that, or they could just put out the occasional p bandai kit with the associated mark up and make about as much for far less effort.

Crossbone's first entry is a fine adventure series that picks up from F91 and really reflects the 90's feel, but that strictly only works best in manga form. The merch is already selling fine as it is, and the later entries are just derivatives that never get better than the first, yet are made just to prolong this very brand of Crossbone Gundam. There is just simply no need to animate it when the manga form is doing its job.
I’m convinced the only people who want crossbone animated are people who never read it because at best it’s painfully average with a couple of fun/goofy mobile suit designs.

They're adapting Hathaways Flash. Something being high quality and revolutionary doesn't matter to Bandai and to be real, nothing from the last 20 years has been ground breaking. The story is fine, the characters are great, the fights are great, the main gundam designs are great, even the "wacky" mobile suit designs aren't anything that outlandish from what we've seen from shit like Age or even MSG/ZZ. It's not the best piece of Gundam media but it's a nice series, it definitely has its moments and the battles are solid

People constantly dunk on ZZ but absolutely gush over Crossbone for some reason despite being a lot wackier. It's a harder thematic departure from F91 than ZZ is to Z.
zz isnt shat on just because its “wacky” its because its not fricking funny.
crossbone is definitely wackier than standard gundam at times but that isnt inherently bad, at least i never felt annoyed by it
also its following up f91 which is a fricking mess so it especially doesnt bother me, unlike zz following up zeta
Assuming it ever gets animated, it probably won't be a full broadcast season; probably go the OVA route that Unicorn did, cutting out some of the weirder MS designs (especially in the later sequels) and redesigning the remainder for plamo viability (moreso since Hasegawa mentioned he didn't design the MS with kits in mind), while condensing the plot some.
After all, it's really only the Crossbone Gundams themselves that are iconic, and they already have molds to work with, and only have to develop a few new molds for whatever antagonist MS they choose to keep, aside from the Amakusa and Batalla. I would love to see some Flints and Recordbreakers too though.
Also, after looking over the Jupiter MS designs again, the legs and waist armor really reminds me of the OZ MS from Wing in design too.
I'm interested in an adaptation just to see how they would standardize the look and feel of the designs and the story to fit into modern UC. And the fight scenes would be sick.
