It finished just about as good as it could've imo, unsure how I would've improved it. Show got dealt an abysmal hand and still did great with it. That being said, I couldnt bring myself to rewatch S2 because its so sad to realize how much lost kino there is
You're correct but Roman emperor purple (Tyrian purple) is thought to have been closer to reddish-purple. This is also a time period where there isn't supposed to be any Roman royalty so he could be trying to wear something deliberately similar to Tyrian purple without actually wearing it.

It's two seasons of an aight show that then got cancelled. For a reason.

most of the cast of rome was fantastic and she mogged most of them in terms of acting talent, i wish she was in more kinos. she was even hotter in caprica but unfortunately that was a terrible show

Problem is it peaks with Ceasars death and Brutus scream. Season 2 coudlve never followed this. The final scene with Pullo is nice though.
