First mention of the term Cyberpunk was from a short story in '83, the book Neuromancer was the inspiration for the tabletop game.
I'm not even shitting on the tabletop game but there's more to the genre than 2 games, one of which I know is mediocre garbage.

Well, it doesn't matter the franchise, we have many great examples of how it can work. Blade Runner. Total Recall. Cyberpunk is one of those settings like D&D where there's a lot of narrative freedom and you can easily make it work
