He's practically Captain X mansion or Captain mutant . Despite all the sexy girls and it Wolverine he's practically the face of X-Men probably more so than Professor X.

Wolverine is for children. Cyclops is for adults.

He's a natureal leader character, so he can only be as cool as the X-men are at any given time.

Started as an astoundingly boring character, got turned into an astounding jackass in the Krakoa era.

Obviously outside of X-men cartoons I really didn't care about cyclops and until Teenage him joined up with the champions.

Ironically this is when I started to like him as well. I'm really glad that his relationships from that comic haven't been forgotten about. It's cute in a wholesome way

Wasn't even Krakoa that made him that way, Cyclops was a fanatic as early as AvsX.

I believe it's always solid at Marvel who hates cyclops. And not the actual fans of comic books.

He's my favourite X-Man and in my All-Time Top 10 Cinemaphile characters. I like him for various reasons. First off, his costumes and codename are cool, same as his powers, and for a superhero, that's the most important thing as that's what catches your eye first. Secondly, he's a GigaChad that bangs the 11/10 redhead, so he's the best kind of self-insert I could ask for. But it's also the personality that keeps me coming back. I've always liked the reserved leader archetype, so I always leaned towards Cyclops X-Wise. My other favourites are Iron Man/Doom/Strange types, but as these are lacking in the X-Verse, Scott was my go-to guy. He was steady and I liked that. Around the 00s and 10s when he got more hardcore I got on board because I also like the type of 90s/00s edge that he represented. But for me he acts as a sort of comfort character too, as across the ages and decades I can use him as a prism to filter certain aesthetics and stories. I can put him in the 80s, the 90s and the 00s, I can imagine him with Jean next to a Bonnie Tyler song, I can imagine him as Mutant Big Boss, I can see him as both a quasi-awkward teen dork trying to ask a girl out, and as a hard-as-nails paramilitary revolutionary doing whatever needs to be done. And throughout it all he doesn't change his core. That stability makes him appealing to me.

For the record, I didn't like him being turned into a cheater, or the Emma relationship. The lovey-dovey nonsense was too much and the relationship never felt real. It didn't help that the work done on Emma during Gen X was more or less erased and Emma just turned into an even bigger b***h with immunity. Cyclops went from a competent and stoic leader with a softer side to some sort of fratbro pulling rank and running around with the high school bawd. Scott belongs with Jean, period.

He's basically just what if Robin never left Batman and seeing how that would frick someone up. That's what makes him the goat.

I love x-men, but I somehow never really liked cyclops...

I don't even really know why. He seems even more bland than captain america. Then he had runs where he was behaving too crazy like when he killed Xavier.

He is the leader of the x-men and he dates hot chicks there is like nothing else about him. His father isn't that interesting, his brother Havoc is cooler even Vulcan way cooler.

Is it possible that I was reading only the comics where he was badly written.
