You named 0 kinos and 8 flicks. Just like I thought you would.
Again, there is no good videogame movies.
Only a very undemanding audience would be satisfied with that stream of flicks.
Based, Mortal Kombat 1995 is SOVL and the ending (especially with that Orbital track playing in the background, which is my most favourite track of all time) is surprisingly heartfelt for a fricking Mortal Kombat movie (of all things).

Frick you
Wrong, Mortal Kombat 1995 is pure kino. have a nice day, you moronic shitskin. lol
There's so many terrible video game movies that it's weird that they got it so right, so early on, and yet nobody learned from it
The movie is just a loose remake of Enter The Dragon with more magical elements and video game characters and it's fine, that works great as a film structure
How was that NOT copied and instead there's a hundred video game movies that are just cauldrons of shit and autism

I legit fricking bawled in the theater when the brother showed up in the end. I was a pre-teen and had just lost my older brother, so that hit hard. It was me and my mom there, and she held me while i cried.
To this day that whole ending just makes me emotional. The scene with the kids running around playing with flags is just genuinely sweet and heartfelt.

>"One day, we will be reunited. But until then, my spirit will always be with you. Go in peace, my brother." - Chan Kang
I was only 7 when Mortal Kombat 1995 was released. I never saw Mortal Kombat 1995 at my local theater but I wish I did. I saw Mortal Kombat 1995 at home a couple of years after it was released and I doubt my mother would've let me watch that movie when it first came out, even though the movie is ironically not very violent. But Mortal Kombat 1995 is still a timeless masterpiece even though it's not very violent in my opinion. And the fact that the ending for Mortal Kombat 1995 is so genuinely heartfelt is a very pleasant surprise to me. Halcyon On & On by Orbital is my most favourite track of all time and always will be and I love how that track was played in the ending of Mortal Kombat 1995. I love everything about Mortal Kombat 1995 from the day I first saw it sometime back in the late 90s, especially its ending. But similarly to you, the ending for Mortal Kombat 1995 gained new importance for me when my grandfather passed away in 2017. My father left my mother shortly after I was born, calling me 'an act of chance'. My grandfather was not just my grandfather but also my father, in my eyes. The ending of Mortal Kombat 1995 with Liu Kang's brother and that track Halcyon On & On helps me heal from his passing. Sometimes the people you need are right next to you all along without you ever knowing about it until they're physically gone FOREVER. Don't take people for granted. Here today, gone tomorrow. I didn't always get along with him, but deep down in the innermost core of my heart, I ALWAYS UNCONDITIONALLY LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT. Although my grandfather's body has died, who and what he REALLY is will NEVER DIE - Pure Consciousness, which is INFINITE AND ETERNAL, having experienced life in a temporary human form.
One day, we will be reunited... but until then, my spirit will always be with you. Go in peace, my grandfather AND father.

Shame will never see a full length film based after the Rakka short. That shit was better than most alien invasion shit from the last 20 years. That kino really sums up what a real hostile invasion would look like.
i can't figure out if blomkamp is just a certified hack or what. it seems like anything he writes is god awful. i think most of the things people credit him for are actually weta autists making cool set pieces.
I envy neill
no matter how many shitty movies you make studios and fanboys still believe in you because of a movie you made almost 15 years ago which is your only decent film
Make one decently successful movie and you are pretty much set for life in hollywood, doesn't matter how many flops you make afterwards, there will always be someone willing to fund you in the hopes you repeat success
You could have done something like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Burnout, Road Rash, Outrun, and even Rally Cross would have made for better movies.
Gran Turismo is a great racing series, but the point of the games has always been mechanics and racing simulation, and not stories. Not sure how anyone with more than two brain cells could expect to make a movie out of it.
I always confuse him and Duncan Jones. Both are one-hit wonders who made a good sci-fi movie back in 09 and then just flop after flop afterwards. They even look the same
He is the worst successful director I've ever seen. He makes these impressive looking piles of shit almost every time and people clap and get excited but then suddenly realize it was a big shit all along. Then the cycle repeats.
There is no good videogame movie.
thats a lie and you know it
tron
Tron was not a game when it came out.

Everyone went nuts for Arcane because it was 70% Les Miserables, 20% Leon the Professional and 10% the terrible video game it was based on
there ARE no, moron

Need For Sneed was OK.
Lara Croft(the Angelina Jolie ones)
Metal Gear Solid 4
NFS is genuinely decent
Goldeneye
Silent Hill is bretty gud
gran tunigsmo
Just make District 10 you hack.
Based on his output since d9, what makes you think it will be good or that you even actually want it?
What the frick is this guy doing? District 9 sequel?
>No I want to do a videogame race car movie.
He's not getting any funding for his passion projects.
It watched Elysium and instantly realized that Peter Jackson is the only reason his past stuff was any good
Elysium was still kind of cool. Chappie was the true dive off a cliff, but even that was mildly amusing.
Shame will never see a full length film based after the Rakka short. That shit was better than most alien invasion shit from the last 20 years. That kino really sums up what a real hostile invasion would look like.
It's just xcom 2
Dude doesn't want to. His career is dead and he's doing whatever he is paid for.
>a movie about a fricking racing sim
everyone that greenlit the project deserve to lose their jobs.
sony owns the ip so it was probably pretty cheap to make
Dude was looking like the next big thing with District 9 but Blomkamp fell way the frick off
i can't figure out if blomkamp is just a certified hack or what. it seems like anything he writes is god awful. i think most of the things people credit him for are actually weta autists making cool set pieces.
His wife seems to meddle and dilute his vision. His sci-fi shorts are good, look for Wild Oats on yt
Let me guess, it takes place in South Africa and has very subtle themes
Looks like England actually but otherwise yes it's exactly what you'd expect based on the protagonist's skin.
This will sell our movie
You aren't white either thoughever
Then again who does?
All /qa/posters are shitskins
>thoughever
rule 2
>thoughever
what
To be fair, this movie is inspired by a real GT Academy winner and he's some mutt.
Is it the guy who killed someone at the Burgerking?
Bussy. I can smell it.
Tempted to take loads of booze into the theater with me and take a drink every time someone says the word "gamer"
I envy neill

Need for Speed is taken. I distinctly remember an Outrun movie too, but I guess it doesn't exist.
I always confuse him and Duncan Jones. Both are one-hit wonders who made a good sci-fi movie back in 09 and then just flop after flop afterwards. They even look the same
>Both are one-hit wonders who made a good sci-fi movie back in 09
Both of which were wildly overrated.
Sadly correct
Go woke go broke
Why is the MC half back?
Because the guy it's based on is half black
COPE
Interesting, however for representation reasons he needs to be White.
>a movie about cars
>a human face is needed for the poster
Is the Suzuki Escudo in it?
Looks like it's generic track cars + super car track cars. Seems like it's based on later versions anyway.
Chris Gore seems to read like it
He is the worst successful director I've ever seen. He makes these impressive looking piles of shit almost every time and people clap and get excited but then suddenly realize it was a big shit all along. Then the cycle repeats.

Pass
Didn't they recently change (lower) the Fresh % ratings?
From what to what? 70% to 60%?
Fresh was always 60, certified is 70+ and a certain amount of critics
Wow! That'll make two in 14 years!
