She's a realist not self-absorbed, that's Quinn. Shes all about herself. Daria realizes that almost everyone, cept a select few are idiots but it's easier to ride the wave than it is to change it, but if she can go against the grain even a little bit she'll try at least. She's rarely in the wrong, but she'll admit when she is.
I loved the parts where they forced Daria to be self-aware of how hypocritical she is, but of course they couldn't make that happen too often.
Most people are moronic no matter the era.

I agree. It feels dated now the way our parents cringed when they saw photo albums of themselves in Disco clothes. But it was appropriate to the time.

The OG Nick version was comfy, but the Disney version made me laugh more and was a bit more clever. I know that heresy but I think I might had just watched the original run to often.
Dunnoe. I'd actually have to watch it to give a better judgement, but from what I can tell, it seems to be a wrap up of 90s cynicism and other bits of culture with a (possibly) autistic MC.
Daria herself comes off as a little abrasive even if she means well, but I supposed she's juxtaposed by Jane, who's a bit more in tune with her surroundings.
