TCW's first season was clearly written with the intention that audiences had already seen Genndy Wars since it doesn't feel compelled to reintroduce Ventress, it doesn't use Muunilinst or San Hill because Genndy covered that battle, and Durge ended up getting benched because they couldn't do worm guy on their budget and knew that just having a regular guy in the armor would piss people off.
And what about turning clones from supersoldiers into copypaste manchildren and droids from proper machine-soldiers into goofy-bots? That downgrade is why Drama Wars is shit compared to Genndy Wars.
