I kinda like the artstyle but these accents sound pretty much the same for everyone, which makes it harder for me to enjoy. I'll still watch it though.
Would be really cool for Day Job to become something bigger. I don't get why companies still waste time on high school casts when focusing on twenty-somethings opens up a whole WORLD of story possibilities.
while i wasnt sold on it at first, especially with how annoying some of the talking over can be, but it did make me laugh out loud a few times. it has some really solid animation and cute style. hope to see more, though doesnt really seem like anyone knows it exists rn
>doesnt really seem like anyone knows it exists rn
Aussie humour will never catch on. Michael Cusack's had THREE shows now and people still forget he's one of the creators behind Smiling Friends. It honestly bugs me that that show only got as big as it did because of its ties to Sleepycabin, people really slept on Yolo
also gonna reupload the other ones too since i only put them up for a day my bad https://litter.catbox.moe/dv94v0.jpg https://litter.catbox.moe/zcclau.jpg https://litter.catbox.moe/r7u0k9.jpg
Webcomic from the depths of the early 00s, infamous for its amateurish art and being a fountain of transformation fetishes, that's all you need to know
>Transformation fetishes >knew someone who loved this and El Goonish Shive >he raved about it >dude had a massive "guys turning into girls" fetish
I'm mad it's hitting me now, 17 years later.
I’m going to guess they are all from Sydney.
I’m surprised Bluey was even allowed to be from Brisbane, Melbourne hasn’t been in anything since Death in Brunswick and I’m never seen anything set in another state capital.
I'll watch it when it has a name that's actually searchable
All Aussies sound the same to me, I feel like eithe rLurdle or Dongff worked on this.
I kinda like the artstyle but these accents sound pretty much the same for everyone, which makes it harder for me to enjoy. I'll still watch it though.
GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! GET OOOOOOUT!
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE?
Michael Cusack and Dongff are the greatest Aussies to ever live, and I kneel.
Comfy slackino
It’s literally just The Office in SU/Calarts artstyle
Western millennial core.
This doesn't look like SU or Calarts at all
It only looks a bit like Big City Greens, at most. I don't see any resemblance to SU
I'm a sucker for Skittles-colored humans, this already won me over
oh, more fanart of them?
This makes me appreciate how their color palettes complement each other
Hannah > Lily
HEE HEE
You guys think Rowley and Bradley ever, y'know...
mantrain
I was about to mention how she looks a bit like Gloria.
She kinda does, especially how they didn't give the characters noses.
It's there a little bit, for sure.
I want her and Gloria to frick
Actually worth watching
Would be really cool for Day Job to become something bigger. I don't get why companies still waste time on high school casts when focusing on twenty-somethings opens up a whole WORLD of story possibilities.
Idk why but I love the beard whiskers
I guess it seems pretty okay. The voice audio mixing kind of sucks, nothings really annoying though.
voices are a little fricked due to the mixing but it was pretty ok.
What was used to make the animation? Looks pretty good.
I love wagie girls
She’s a qt
had this pop on youtube, it was really good. Wish it was more than a miniseries, but they did a great job with only three episodes.
No
YES!
no its garbage #relatable humor

The problem is that it's all the same humor, why watch anything other than Smiling Friends? Just make more
every single aussie show i've seen has been so similar in comedy that i have to just assume that they aren't even joking
Americans don't like realistic characters, they prefer something more polished. Just the yelling alone is uncomfortable.
It's his own fault for making Koala Man so fricking bland. Honestly even YOLO was becoming hit-or-miss by season 2. Cusack's lost the sauce
need her fr
you can't really blame him, everything about that show gives the impression the network ordered him to create The Next Family Guy
Yolo first season was ok, second season was pretty hit or miss
i am amazed it even got a third season green lit at all.
yeah koala man could have been better but i do find the last few batch of episodes pretty good.
I watched the show and I'd absolutely would watch if someone drew her getting fricked on the couch.
Lucky guy
>Okay Ivan, I'm just gonna put my shoes on and go
Hhhot
DAMN I LOOOVE AUSSIE bawdS
>Canonically had sex

legend
Fry and Leela?
It was alright, the character designs were cute but the humor wasn’t my thing.
Yeah I really liked it
well i didnt
too bad b***h
The art style and colour palette are giving me strong Wotch vibes
>wotch
what is that

It was ok. I do want to point out that Garfield hates Mondays because Mondays hate him.
I’m going to guess they are all from Sydney.
I’m surprised Bluey was even allowed to be from Brisbane, Melbourne hasn’t been in anything since Death in Brunswick and I’m never seen anything set in another state capital.
aussies have a pretty low cultural profile considering they're broadly white and english-speaking, and usually lumped in with 'The West'
Well if it does become a show, I don’t need them to polish it up or anything. The crudely drawn style’s got some charm
>Well if it does become a show
It won't.
Why not
Because.
watched all 3 episodes.
it is pretty fricking good.
I'm not a woman living with three cats, so no.
It's like a solid 7/10 I'd watch over most adult cartoons
same, not perfect but there’s potential
Wow… THAT IS RELATABLE!
Watched all three episodes and it was amazing! I hate how the YouTube algorithm doesn't support these amazing animated shows. It's very rare.
Damn I love Aussie bawds
How can we as Cinemaphile make sure this gets greenlit? Australia doesn't have alot of gems.
we can't…
The creator already shot himself in the foot by calling it something as simple as 'Day Job.' I would've went with PINHEADS personally
>pinheads
that is fricking great.
Well it's the most viewed of their newly uploaded "original" stuff, so hopefully that means something for the company
I want to sniff her hair
not as good
definitely
Funny stuff and very cute, it's the good type of quirk.
Idk how long these shorts take, but even at 7 minutes it seems like it could work as such.
Michael Cusack was an executive producer on these shorts. I need him to use his fancy Hollywood connections to lift up his fellow Australian animators
Reminds me of Peargor’s art if it was less scratchy
