DC is desperately trying to keep a tradition by still making these swim wear covers, but is blatantly capitalizing on modern sensitivities: Bruce bringing that sexy back because sexualizing men is totally fine, while Selina is conveniently out of the poll, in full robe, so devoid of any sexualization that you need a few seconds to process that cover and realize Bruce is NOT gawking at another dude, but that it is supposed to be Selina instead.

I despise variant covers and would never willingly buy one. I want comic book companies to write good stories to increase sales, not just put out more covers for collectors. I told the guy at my comic shop not to pull any variant covers for me, and if he forgets, I refuse to pay the extra dollar for the card stock. If I ran a comic shop I wouldn't order any variants unless someone specifically requested one.
