Wow, it's already been almost 7 years since the Sinister Six movie? That was my favorite non-MCU film, next to Gambit and Female Lead Spider-Man Spin-off.
>DC had to literally do a flashpoint/crisis style reboot because they'd backed themselves into a corner trying to suck off snyder and now want to try to do right by comic fans >it still didn't work because they forgot why people even liked those reboot stories
They'll probably shelve most of these projects just to reset again, just like they do in the comics.
I hope whoever thought it was a good idea to make a Flash movie where the main antagonist isn't even one of the Flash's villains lost their job and got replace by ChatGPT. Even a fricking AI would see that movie should never have made it out the door.
Hopefully canceled. They were going to have all the earth Lanterns be in different time periods, 40s Allen, 80s Guy, but it sounded very drama heavy. Allen's story was going to be about being a secret homosexual man. GL set pieces and animation are just too expensive even the dcau had to have John only make walls, balls and lasers.
>A detective show in the spirit of True Detective >Hal and John are the focus >streaming series with an unknown budget >Property mainstream audiences have been trained to laugh at
I think it depends on the show runner but this could easily go south.
Considering how the new Superman movie seems very similar to Superman Man of Tomorrow and how Tom King is involved I have a feeling it’s basically going to be like a live action beware My Power
I never said he was involved with the animated movies, I’m saying he’s involved with Lanterns which already a massive red flag. The thing with the animated movies is they are blueprints for a live action movie to follow and considering the live action series is featuring John and DC’s penchant to character assassinate any other GL to prop him up it’s not hard to see that happening
What is the expectation for each project? >Creature Commandos: Good >Paradise Lost: Bad >Waller: Mediocre >Batman The Brave And The Bold: Bad >Superman: Legacy: Great >Booster Gold: Good >Lanterns: Ok >Supergirl: Bad >The Authority: Very early 00s >Swamp Thing: Fantastic best of the best makes it all worth it
Anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic. It sounds like EXACTLY what I want, a DC cinematic universe that takes inspiration from the MCU while doing its own thing.
It's officially a plan.
At least half this shit will go the way of Justice League Dark. We WILL get an attempt at a Superman movie, which will do no one any good, as Gunn is an awful choice for Superman.
>WB(D) burning cash faster than the Joker >flop after flop after flop >We'll really make all these films! (please someone buy us, our IPs are valuable, really!)
After Aquabro 2 does badly, it's all ogre.
warner bros bros are the best.

>This is what the next few years of your life looks like
This is the most pathetic generation of human beings to ever live.
im unironically excited for creature commandos for doctor phosphorus & weasel
Considering how heavily involved Tom King is in these films I’m really not hopeful
What's the over-under on Lanterns being good?

That iteration was thrown out and they started over with a simpler drama show about Hal and John being space cop partners.

Tom King had nothing to do with either of those, and we already know it's not going to be like Beware My Power.

>No 90's style teen titans series.
I sleep.
(because my brain deleted that... thing that went out with their name on it).
DC needs to reboot again.
they are
Reset the comics too.

Maybe only half of them will be canceled this time.
Gunn says they're only announcing projects with scripts and creative teams ready to go this time. So all of these projects are ready.
That doesn’t mean anything. Plenty of projects were “ready” but still got cancelled anyway.
i thougt he said theyre only filming fully written scripts
Which according to Gunn, is just Superman.
DC will go bankrupt soon due to the writers on strike it's over bros
>writers on strike
If only they didn't have 70 years of comics to use. Man what a misfortune running out of material, indeed.
not how it works anon, you need someone to put the material into a filmable script.
creature commandos probably has its voice work done already so its possible it could come out before that :3
kys
These idiots know movies aren't like comics to where you can reboot it every couple of years right?
Is this official?
Anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic. It sounds like EXACTLY what I want, a DC cinematic universe that takes inspiration from the MCU while doing its own thing.
Also, pretty sure Aquaman is NOT DCU.
