In his place, ordinary citizens have taken to the streets to root out crime. As innocents get hurt, the question on everyone’s mind is the same: Where is Batman? Sam Hamm, screenwriter of the 1989 Batman movie, and Joe Quinones reunite for another tale in Gotham!

Of course this fricking homosexual has to retread that mediocre story again
If Dick doesn’t meet Nightstar and Dan Mora doesn’t draw her then what the frick is the point?
Waid needs to be fired. He's never written a good Superman.
Come on give the guy some credit, that book is the closest thing to a decent comic DC is publishing atm
It's complete shit and is just Waid jerking himself off.

Judy’s physicals are all coming back good and clear, which means only one thing: mall day with Stargirl! But when a foe from the 1940s crashes the party, Jay rushes in to save the day, much to his daughter’s chagrin!
I didn't know they were giving JSA people individual ongoings, that sounds sick. Where's the trick?
the alan scott mini is about how he's always been gay despite fathering multiple children and basterds in his life
Big Dick Alan Scott turned a ho into a housewife. They had to nerf him, otherwise he'd do it again.
They're minis and Alan's story focuses on his gayness.
Short answer: The JSA relaunched was a huge flop, because Geoff Johns decided to make the first arc be all about the Tom King version of Huntress traveling back in time to join the JSA, ignoring the fact that NO ONE likes Pre-Crisis Huntress or wanted her back.
Long answer: Besides the Huntress shit driving away readers, we have Geoff reaching the point in his career that he no longer cares about getting his books out on time and purposely picking super fricking slow artists and telling DC he will no longer allow them to force him to use fill-in artists and that his hand pick artists must draw his books from start to finish, no matter how many months worth of delays between issues.
Also, Geoff is insisting on a huge number of new SJW token heroes be inserted into DC lore that he intended to be in his now canceled Stargirl TV show and won't back off on inserting them into said lore even though his show got canceled. So we have to shill the new lore, especially with Alan Scott, since rather than telling Jim Lee to go frick himself and make Alan Scott straight again, Geoff's effectively taking the stance that the only reason Alan was heterosexual was due to the fact that Geoff's creation, the Golden Age Red Lantern, was removed from Alan's history. Resulting in a situation that Alan is a homosexual if Red Lantern is around for him to feud with in the 40s but if Red Lantern was removed from Alan's past and instead, he had to deal with Harquinn as his arch nemesis, Alan never discovers/experiments with dick sucking/anal sex and finds out he likes it and stays a heterosexual man.
So while Geoff insists that JSA run on Black person time like other big name writers get to do with their lazy fricking artists, DC is churning out a bunch of JSA solo minis to basically try and get fans back to buying the book, while at the same time tripling down on bullshit Jim Lee is pushing (IE homosexual Alan Scott) and Geoff's own OC.
>ignoring the fact that NO ONE likes Pre-Crisis Huntress or wanted her back.
completely fricking wrong
The only time anyone cared or gave a frick about Pre-Crisis Huntress was the Worlds' Finest New 52 series and even then, they only cared because Paul Levitz wrote the New Earth 2 version like she was Helena Bertinelli, the Post-Crisis Huntress right down to having her retroactively being Bertnelli in the New 52 lore.
I’m excited for the Jay Garrick one though.
>Geoff Johns decided to make the first arc be all about the Tom King version of Huntress traveling back in time to join the JSA
That's wrong though, King's Helena wasn't even Huntress, she was Batwoman, and she sure as hell wasn't part of a JSA consisting of mostly redeemed villains.
As usual, Johns just made his own stuff up, and now his version of Helena is stuck in the present.
This outfit wouldn't be nearly as bad if it had knee high boots and if Mann didn't clearly just draw a naked person
His Huntress will HAVE TO BE A LESBIAN TO FOLLOW TOM'S VERSION THOUGH.
Okay? We haven't seen that from Johns' Helena yet, so it's not like it mattered.
That reminds me, has JSA acknowledged the bullshit with Power Girl getting mindwiped to such a degree that she let Connor Kent rename her Paige because she's go no past memories of her life and lost enough IQ points to go along with Connor's troll of her?
>Connor Kent
*Conner, and it wasn't him, it was Jon.
>has JSA acknowledged the bullshit
Johns hasn't acknowledged Dawn of DC yet, but it's about to in the next issue supposedly, we know PG will be using her newer design so I assume they'll start calling her Paige too.
Also, I don't think she got mindwiped or anything like that, I think it's just shit writing.
Johns isn't the reason Alan is gay, they revealed that way before Johns introduced Soviet Red Lantern.
Jim Lee's the reason Alan now must be default gay.
James Robinson explicitly went out of his way of saying "only the New 52 Alan Scott is gay". But Jim Lee, ever fricking butt-hurt that New 52 was rejected by fans and especially after Lee's dream of Superman/Wonder Woman was so fricking utterly rejected by fans that DC had to use time travel frickery to grab Post Crisis/Pre-New 52 Lois and Clark out of the timestream seconds before Flashpoint rebooted everything and put them back into the DC Universe (and warp the New 52 to make them the canon Lois/Clark and erased Lee's crack pairing from ever happening), Lee vindictively and maliciously decided to make Alan Scott being gay the new permanent default EXPLICITLY to piss off fans who hated New 52.
And rather than fighting Lee on this, to the point of remembering Alan DIED right before Flashpoint rebooted DC into the New 52, and declaring he'd rather have a dead Alan than a homosexual Alan, Geoff caved HARD and is continuing the farce and doubling down by saying that Alan was only fricking straight because he had Harquinn as his arch enemy now Red Lantern.
>rather than fighting Lee on this, to the point of remembering Alan DIED right before Flashpoint rebooted DC into the New 52, and declaring he'd rather have a dead Alan than a homosexual Alan
Anon, Jim Lee is still the boss, if Johns did that he'd be out of a job, he's probably willing to accept gay Alan if it means he gets to keep writing for DC.
>saying that Alan was only fricking straight because he had Harquinn as his arch enemy now Red Lantern.
That's not what he's saying at all, Alan was retconned to be gay before that, before Red Lantern was retconned to exist, they were already ignoring Harlequin before.
Red Lantern would still exist, gay Alan or not.
b.s., Lee doesn't care about comics at all
This is the book. They never should’ve taken Jeremy off Flash but at least he still gets to write Jay.

PKJ likes putting clark in diffrent costumes for some reason
Cool Steel suit for Clark, but both Superman and Action going with Clark losing his powers seems like a bad call.
Frankly I like Clark getting different suits. Batman and Spider-Man have a frick ton of variant costumes, why not Supes?
>why not Supes?
ngl I think getting different costumes is fun and all, but the perk of having one with a literally indestructible fabric is that you shouldn't need to change clothes often.
Wait I dropped this when the current arc started, why are the xenophobic movement people hiring ninjas to go to war for them?

What was Mora doing before World’s Finest and Shazam? Genuinely surprised they’ve been able to keep these good a schedule for two books
He's old school just needs short breaks between arcs
Frankly DC should be basing their house style on him
>What was Mora doing before World’s Finest and Shazam?
Detective comics, Once and furture, power rangers, and klaus
I don't like how Billy looks brown haired here.
How long do I have to support this book until I get my Freddy solo spin-off? I don't like Waid.
Well, first you're gonna have to wait until Waid gives Freddy powers again, he loves the classic Marvel Family and returned Freddy to his pre-New 52 look so you can expect him to get his powers back sooner rather than later.
But also you'd have to make Shazam a franchise profitable enough to get more than just one book, and I don't see that happening any time soon, sorry bub.
should she still be called Mary Marvel since he's not called Captain Marvel anymore?

>Christmas romance switch with Harley and Amethyst
Why do they insist on constantly shoving Harley into these Holiday one shots
To make them sell. Apparently there are enough Harley Quinn stans/completists out there who'll buy anything with her in it and that's how DC manages to sell enough of these one-shots to justify fricking them putting them out.

>That's all folks.
Thank you anon.
I mean, currently there isn't a JL.
WHERE ARE THE TRADES YOU FRICKING homosexual
No one fricking cares about trades except for shelfhomosexuals
*except people who actually like comics and have a modicum of taste
Eurogays like me need em
Do people really read DC comics in 2023?
Why do you hate yourselves so much?
Are solicitations later than usual?
Shouldn't Image, Boom, etc be up by the second to last Friday?
Marvel Solicitations when?
next week
"Only" 25 batbooks this month, I guess they're finally easing up on them. The bad news is they're simply getting replaced by shitty event tie-ins but hey, it's a start.
I'm surprised no one's talking about how they're downplaying the Batfamily since Cinemaphile seems to hate them.
Cinemaphile doesn't read comics.
Well I'd say the side of Cinemaphile that hates them probably doesn't read them at least, since they imagine every issue is full of them.
>new outsiders comic with no outsiders just batfam characters
sure
I don't even like the batfamily but gotham war sounds horrible.
Well they are still very much around and every #1 this month (not counting the event filler one-shots) is a batbook except for Speed Force, so we're not precisely out of the woods yet.
At least it's not a justice league story feat. the titans, unless i'm being too optismistic.
I’m glad the Titans event isn’t touching any of the books I’m reading.
>all those double-shipped books
DC's drowning
I’ve really liked a lot of what DC is doing this year. I don’t know what their numbers are like, but I think they’re trying to get to a better position this year and I hope they’re seeing results.
I agree.
Except I'd say it in less shilly way.
I just really like a lot of the comics and I’d like for producing good comics to be fruitful for them.
In order to produce good comics, there gonna have to hire some right-wing political writers to balance and mediate out all those left-wing political writers they have producing shit. But they won't, so comics will stay shitty unfortunately.
DC is doing so much better than Marvel right now. There’s next to nothing from Marvel that I’m really loving.
If that's true I truly pity Marvel fans because Jesus Christ these solicits are awful
Another month of my favorite comic team not having a comic.
Soliciwhat
Three Flash books and no Barry feels so good
Amazing what happens after you fire just one bald worthless boomer frick.
Why is DC so much better than Marvel right now?
In Bizarro world?
because marvel manages to be a little bit worse.
They always have been.
But Marvel used to have more than one good ongoing title. Now they have Moon Knight and that might be it.
Marvel's always been crap, even their greatest hits are just mediocre capeslop.
Fantastic Four is good too
Eh, it’s very silly but I do usually enjoy it.
Moon Knight is great but I'm kind of excited for Immortal Thor this week seems like it will be a good book but everything else I've checked out from Marvel has either been terrible or below average
I’ve never been the biggest Thor fan but I’ll check out Ewing’s Avengers Inc to see what that’s like.
Grr
