if comics could just stop interconnecting and rebooting everything every five years you wouldnt need an "entry point"
it'd be like manga where you can just read a fricking book beginning to end with no autism
That's what got them in this shape in the first place.
The New 52 writers were the exact same ones as pre-New 52. And EVERYTHING they did was SHIT. The simple fact is that "better writers" has NEVER fixed ANYTHING.
A full reboot can't save them alone. Both companies need full reboots written like actual stories with permanence & not going on 80 years repeating the same melodrama.
>A full reboot can't save them alone. Both companies need full reboots
This. A reboot will do shit as long as morons and failed screen writers are in charge. Actual writers also won't bother working for them unless working conditions or intellectual property rights get better with these companies.
well of the people who actually do that, because they get paid for doing comic book work, because it's relatively simple to tell an engaging story when somebody else is helping with the visuals, and because there's an attraction to the medium itself
but also when the WGA went on strike for 5 months this year it's telling who in comics was getting big opportunities because they're non-members with no hope of ever working on film, tv or games
They go on forever because they’re supposed to. They’re brands. The point is to have material for the actual moneymakers that is film, tv and games to pull from. The stories ultimately don’t matter but to nerds and them only.
Dan, can I call you Dan?…Mr Didio. Rebooting does not work. DC took your advice and is was a failure almost a decade of failure, it was called the new 52. It was one of many bad ideas you were fired for. Rebooting is not the answer, the readers hate it. Yes it boosts sales but only for a year or two.
Marvel needs it more
Spider-Man still sold his daughter to satan
Wolverine is still tonguiing Scott's balls
Iceman is still a raging homosexual
Miles, Kamala and Re-re still exist
it feels soulless and forced cause everyone knows that comics are just the same rehashed bullshit ten times over and that character deaths dont actually matter, plus people prefer having batman work alone myself included, i have robin fatigue
DickBats should come back
Set it back to the 1930's.
Just get better writers.
This, reboot it all but with competent writers
No. Just get better writers. Reboots do literally nothing.
The point of a reboot is to give an entry point for newcomers. Just getting better writers won’t stop comics from having the shit sales that they get.
>entry point for newcomers
>in 2023
that's not happening mate

t. tini howard
Nobody's paying $5 for 22 pages.
then charge $3 or $4
That's what got them in this shape in the first place.

yes
without damian
DC needs a full clean slate. Wipe everything previously.
frick you homosexuals aren't wiping away Cass again. eat shit.
Your waifu is shit.

Comics pay like shit. Why write for comics when you can write for film, tv and games?

New 52 was a reboot in name only.
so was rebirth
>fired
dude took early retirement with a big fat pension anon, he's frickin 63
The current World's Finest line already does a good job at soft rebooting DC without fricking over main continuity to much
Marvel needs it more
Spider-Man still sold his daughter to satan
Wolverine is still tonguiing Scott's balls
Iceman is still a raging homosexual
Miles, Kamala and Re-re still exist
>a universe rebooted by shit modern writers
Do you really want it?
why? it didn't work any of the other times and it never sticks longer than a few months before they start bringing shit back the way it was anyway
I've seen people post this calling it a great page. I don't see it. The art is bad, the lettering is awful, and the sentiment is lame.
