I still don’t understand why they did it. Was it to appease Bendis? And why did they double down on keeping him aged up? I understand why Taylor made him bi, to get adoration from losers on Twitter but why did editorial just let Bendis and Taylor do whatever they wanted?
Editorial allegedly hated the Superman family, so they were fine with splitting them up and aging Jon up, also DiDio wanted Jon to be the Superman of 5G, with Damian as the villain.
Why they frick would they take it that personally? It’s not like if the courts ever ruled in the family’s favor that the money would have been coming out of their pockets.
It's the fact they're not getting ALL the money, and having the audacity to challenge a corporation (and actually getting something instead of just being bullied into settling/bankrupted by legal fees forever).
How about instead of fridging him, they just put him in a bus? A bus that takes him and his heckin' wholesome boyfriend right to the Bendis Legion future, where they can live happily ever after and come back yearly whenever DC does a Pride book, also establish the regular Legion back so they can't be affected by main canon, just let them chill away from everything, then bring back young Jon.
That'd take at least another decade before the culture changes enough to bring him back. By then, the ship will have sailed interest-wise.

I think Supers having a daughter would be more wholesome and him having to learn to deal with girl stuff would develop his character better than Jon just being the most cute son ever. Little girls can be real b***hes.
