When Superman became more vulnerable and physical force started to affect him, his vulnerability to magic was reinterpreted as a weakness like kryptonite where he was more suspectable to it than a normal person. I think it was E Nelson Bridwell that came up with the explanation that Superman's magical susceptibility was due to being an alien unconnected from the human bloodline which had homosexual magi admixture in it. Later on, writers would change the weakness back to a vulnerability.

Shimo used her attack on three creatures (Kong, Skar King, and Godzilla), with Godzilla being the only one who took the full force of Shimo's breath, being frozen completely, and being broken out of it just fine, no nerve damage, no side effects, no nothing. He was perfectly fine. How is that 'Strawmanning'?

You realize stuff like that happens on a case by case basis? Batman is their cashcow and they allowed him to get shot in the head and insulted. This game was in development and being written during a period of time when WB was going to kill off Batman and Superman and replace them with Batgirl and Supergirl.

It's that he, like every other boss in the game, fought like he just got off a stroke. He fought like a Skyrim dragon in that he inexplicably got close to the guys with kill-you bullets when all he had to do to win was fly into space and heat vision them.
