It's dollar store Gravity Falls written by a disgusting fat moron who unironically has a fetish for FtM trannies and I wish that were exaggerated shitposting, but it's not.
>almost no porn of Barney >most porn is of >one of the few pieces of Barney porn is blatant troony fetishism
Do trans artists even like drawing trans characters? They almost always seem to focus on natural female characters instead.
it had promise but it could for the life of it not decide if it wanted to be a coming of age trans story or a mystery para natural lore show. it refused to pick one as the main storyline so both storylines kind of just trampled all over each other whenever one of them started to get momentum.
the trans story was pretty hamfisted too, so a real net loss for the series.
the para natural half had some more intriguing parts though.
art was pretty mid, nothing ground breaking but far from the worst crimes against humanity that we've seen on this board get syndication.
>the trans story was pretty hamfisted too, so a real net loss for the series.
This. They wanted to keep the young kiddo rating for the show, so his family was at most kinda loving and confused about him and he came off as a whiny little b***h instead of someone with real problems. Imagine if his dad was some /b/tard who figures he could beat him back into a girl, THEN you got some family drama.
I don't agree at all. The pacing overall is pretty solid, decent enough escalation and little bits of plot gradually getting bigger, and Barneys's trans thing really only became the central focus in that episode with family dinner, otherwise it's entirely secondary and the spooky shit and Norma's tism is the main focus.
The real issue is that the show is boring as all fricking sin and Barney himself has the personality and draw of a wet blanket. I literally fell asleep midway through watching the show the first time I gave it a go. Didn't lean nearly enough into the musical angle for how long the episodes were.
>the trans story was pretty hamfisted too, so a real net loss for the series.

Imagine if his dad was some /b/tard who figures he could beat him back into a girl, THEN you got some family drama.
Also don't agree this. The drama they choose was a good way of giving credence to both Barney and his family instead of just making his family a bunch of buttholes. Barney's issues with his family was that it ended the second it became an inconvenience to them and their refusal to defend him against his grandma. While the parents more or less supported Barney's choices but didn't want to rock the boat when it came to family dynamics by reminding grandma you can't call them Black folk anymore at the dinner table.
Beating your kid because they're a gay isn't the kind of thing a hug and talk is gonna roll over.
>it had promise but it could for the life of it not decide if it wanted to be a coming of age trans story or a mystery para natural lore show
why do so many of those types of stories end up pulling that?
What if someone falls on that, can they sue? It's a public danger
>What if someone falls on that, can they sue? It's a public danger
almost certainly yes, hostile architecture is fricking moronic.
>why do so many of those types of stories end up pulling that?
fantasy stories that include the young character coming of age are pretty common anon. some intergrate it better than others, such as spirited away or harry potter, largely because the normie-drama shit is totally offscreen for most of the time.
it just feels like lately that genre of urban fantasy just throws the supernatural thing in the first chapters and then forgets about it until the ass end where they have to rush out a half baked conclusion to it.
>almost certainly yes, hostile architecture is fricking moronic.
I disagree, but maybe we can find a common ground.
If you love the homeless, you have move them into your house and they can get rid of the hostile architecture.
you sound more moronic than the people trying to discuss parenting on this board
That smells of people who probably didn't want to be making kid-targeted cartoons in the first place, but that's what they've wound up with, so they throw in some fantasy element as a hook to get the show picked up, then as soon as possible shift over to the "srs irl social issues" they wanted to tackle from the getgo while putting the purported main plot of the fantasy element on the backburner.
probably. what bothers me the most is that it is an interesting line to work with but it just turns into a cheap way to make the show synopsis sound less boring
Doesn't the main character feel guilty for hating his gay lover for giving him aids?
See, that's the thing. She's not gay or a homosexual, she is a female person attracted to male people. That's heterosexuality. She's a surgically altered and drug addicted straight woman.
And one of the problems with trans people taking over the movement is that originally the T in the acronym was understood to mean homosexual transexuals who were forced by society somehow to pretend to be the opposite sex just so their homosexuality could be tolerated. This is criticized plenty but back then allies were allies.
Now, the trans people we see are mostly heterosexuals pretending they're the opposite sex. You've got psychos like Dylan Mulvaney making an ass of himself, but the big trouble makers are the heterosexual men who want to muscle in on women's spaces.
Does Barney have any post-op lewds?
poondog comin up. it's just like the real thing! if it wasn't, it would mean i spent thousands of dollars on making myself look weird and also perpetuating sexism. . .
FtM are more obnoxious to me. At least MtF are more straightforward with their coom fetishes and might sometimes joke about it. FtM on the otherhand are bipolar schizos cranked to the max because of their hormone imbalances
>I'm going to be a 4'5" 120lbs soft spoken man. >Everyone will love me! >Especially women.
They're obnoxious but less likely to physically hurt you than men who say they're women. (minus audrey hale, thanks for weakening my argument you creepy dead girl.) I'm angry with trans-identified females but not completely unsympathetic. They're usually trying to get away from abuse they suffered just because they're female.
Barney is definitely the kind of FtM who either never fully transitions and goes back to being a woman once they're in their early 20s, or does fully transition and cries about how they ruined their life and chance at a natural family once they reach their mid-20s
Probably after her boyfriend(s?) either break up with her or troon out themselves, yeah.
>They're usually trying to get away from abuse they suffered just because they're female.
Imagine if they'd had the balls to make the ending involve Barney having to come to terms with having been sexually abused and linking said abuse to her FtM status.
Barney is definitely the kind of FtM who either never fully transitions and goes back to being a woman once they're in their early 20s, or does fully transition and cries about how they ruined their life and chance at a natural family once they reach their mid-20s
There were a few years when Netflix had unlimited money and they could have actually led something of a huge animation renaissance. But they only greenlit garbage like this for years, and then streaming platforms' debt caught up to them and the moment has passed.
It wasn't exclusively garbage. We actually had quite a few decent to great cartoons like Centaurworld, Green Eggs and Ham, Klaus, Kid Cosmic, Maya and the Three, Glitch Techs, the nostalgia Nick specials, etc.
The problem was that their bad shows were notoriously bad, to the point where it tarnished Netflix's brand as a whole. Big Mouth alone was enough to cause irreparable damage. It also didn't help how their streaming model is poison, dumping entire seasons at once only served to make those good cartoons blink and you'll miss it events with little staying power. So the only thing that sticks in people's minds are the trash.
I count the aquired stuff because those projects would've been flat out dead without their backing. They were still part of their infinite money dump even if it wasn't technically in-house.
Out of all of those Klaus is the only one I would say was legitimately good. Centaur World had an okay first season but only okay and really fumbled after that. Glitch Techs is only remembered because of porn. The rest were incredibly mid. So mid that you forget them after watching them.
>Centaur World had an okay first season but only okay and really fumbled after that.
The Nowhere King's story alone elevates S2 to being as good as the first. Genuinely one of the best written villains on recent memory.
I still can't believe they just dumped shit instead of going weekly episodes. Fricking shit, what a fumble. Could've given the shows better staying power, and helped draw more eyes (and drive subscriptions) to netflix.
Out of all of those Klaus is the only one I would say was legitimately good. Centaur World had an okay first season but only okay and really fumbled after that. Glitch Techs is only remembered because of porn. The rest were incredibly mid. So mid that you forget them after watching them.
I didn't watch the show all the way through. I did watch season one. Early on Barney mentioned about wearing a binder. So Binder is definitely pre surgery
>Why can't you guys be more supportive of me. >Oh, have you met my demon friend who literally, and not in any metaphorical sense, tried to murder me and my dog a few days ago?
The bare minimum of parenting is keeping your kids from ruining their lives early on by doing idiotic shit like trooning out.
You're not supposed to accept what they do, you're supposed to mandate to them what is acceptable in the first place.
>we accepted you, despite you know, you not accepting yourself
Letting the TQ leech off the lgb was a mistake they really think your parents not validating your desire to get a sex change is the same as rejecting your gay kid
I love a lot of "gay shows" like The Owl House and She-Ra, but this is too much for me, and I just can't stand looking at that fricking clown. Norma a cute, tho.
I hate to break it to you, but nobody outside of trannies actually wants to watch a show which puts a troony and their issues front and center, much less a cartoon that's ostensibly made for kids. Virtue signal all you want, but don't be surprised when parents don't want their kids watching it and most cartoon-watching adults just find it cringy.
>but nobody outside of trannies actually wants to watch a show which puts a troony and their issues front and center, much less a cartoon that's ostensibly made for kids.
Fun fact, when this cartoon was first revealed even the trannies that it was made for thought it looked like shit.
I'm willing to give a show a chance if the story and art are decent regardless of the politics, but I find it hard to have much faith in the show when most of the main character bios I read are little more than a laundry list of sexual preferences, gender identities, and supposedly oppressed religious/ethnic groups.
Likely written by a westerner with a limited worldview who thinks that everybody who isn't a straight, white, and mentally stable Christian man is part of some sort of feelgood alliance of the oppressed.
That's one of the things that's always struck me as really weird and delusional. Like I get that they're using hijabs and Muslims as shorthand for how tolerant and inclusive their setting is but every Muslim I've ever known had a seething hatred of gays. Even the more liberal ones like Bosnians. It's weird to me that people who make media like this usually have this unbridled frothing hatred of Christians, who for the most part if they even do dislike gays just kind of quietly disapprove of the lifestyle but then portray Muslims as these paragons of tolerance when many even in liberal countries explicitly want to murder gay and trans people. Not even speaking hyperbolically. I've met more than a few Muslims in western countries that will just out and out say it and be proud of it. The more tolerant Muslims I've met mostly just dodge the question because they know it's not socially acceptable in western societies to openly hate gay people. It's weird.
Chances are they've had minimal contact with Muslims and largely base their beliefs on how the media chooses to portray them, or they've only known highly westernized 2nd/3rd+ generation (genuinely) liberal Muslims and liberal white women who "converted" to Islam.
Both. Men are more militant about it usually but I've spoken to some Muslim women who made no bones about the fact that they thought gays should be stoned to death. I'll say African Muslim women like Somalis are the ones more likely to express it outright without hesitation. Arab Muslim women tend to be shyer about expressing their views but will tell you that gay people disgust them if pressed.
>every Muslim I've ever known had a seething hatred of gays
Having ridden a few of them now... I can assure you that so long as they're on top, they're fine with it.
Nothing is sweeter than seeing one of these types having to admit that some of the things they purportedly support are actually a problem. Homeless people are wonderful until they start sleeping, begging, and shooting up outside of your boutique coffee shop or whatever the frick, scaring away all the customers.
I have to ask. Why do all of these stupid troony/homosexual/lgbtbbqs have to be the stereotypical "dyke-ish haircut that's some toxic unnatural color + piercings + 'unique' body shape" every single time? Does it cause body dysmorphia or some shit if they draw a woman, have it look like a normal woman, sound like a normal woman, and claim it's trans? Or a man that looks like a man, sounds like a man (and not some fake attempt at a deep voice that sounds like a homosexual 12 y/o on gmod), and claims it's trans? Why is everything so in-your-face flamboyant? Why must they remind you constantly that "HEY! LOOK! GAY!" Is it wrong to look normal, act normal, and still be gay/trans/whateverelsethefrick? This shit advertises the worst, most toxic part of that entire "movement"/"community" or whatever you want to call it. I've met normal gay people irl that weren't flamboyant and didn't need to remind you of their sexuality or pronouns every 5 seconds. But then you see the hair dye or the piercings, and suddenly you KNOW that frick is going to be the most toxic, degenerate piece of shit you've come across. If you want to normalize shit and have gay/lgbtbbq acceptance, make them look and act like normal fricking people, not the obvious toxic minority. How are gays not offended by this? It would be like having the asian character be the most stereotypical slant-eyed, straw hat wearing, rickshaw pulling stereotype you've ever seen, then be like, "NUH UH THIS IS ACTUALLY HOW ALL ASIANS ARE!" The fricking asian community, and every other community, would be in outrage. But then you do shit like this to the lgbtbbq's and they're just fine with it? What?
Dead Endia began as a tumblr-hosted webcomic that started around 2014, anon. The characters in the OP resemble that strawman because they, or others like them, were the actual, real inspiration for it.
It started as rebellious shit that made them look like the super special snowflakes they are but eventually was flanderized, that’s the hair and piercing shit. As for the body they love to self insert because key part of being a troony is narcissism.
It’s like modern cartoons these days are either designed ultra simplistically so they could be drawn by 5 year olds or they just half assedly copy anime.
looks homosexual, no offense.
It IS homosexual, so homosexual in fact that it's so in your face about it.
>I'm trans
Gee I'd have never guessed if not for the blue hair punk rock bullshit
Pretty funny how the noncomformists have their own uniform kek
why are trans men almost universally fat fricks?
does the testosterone make you fat or something? or were they fat women who thought they'd be better accepted if they were fat men?
trans men are fat women who find it easier to cut their hair short & dye it than just lose weight
trans women are disgusting men who find it easier to force others to adore them for being freaks than developing a personality/skills/looks
Aren't children's cartoons supposed to preach self-acceptance?
It's dollar store Gravity Falls written by a disgusting fat moron who unironically has a fetish for FtM trannies and I wish that were exaggerated shitposting, but it's not.
Respectfully, it looks gay and stupid
Sure, we can talk about it. Here, I'll start:
The show was dogshit with a hideous art style and I'm glad it got cancelled.
that applies to ANY cartoon!

Nah. Nothing special about it really aside from a FtM, which is fairly rare.
Always the problem, they want to be all things and don't do any of them particularly well. SU and OH both failed in this respect.

he's still right though, trooning is about avoiding coming of age and becoming a whole, sexual person.

No, getting aids validated her as a real gay boi

Still better than the troony shit though.

Bone must have the shittiest luck when it comes to animated adaptations. Every time one is announced, it's cancelled right after.

The opposite of that
I HATE TRANS PEOPLE!
There thread over.
>let's make steven universe but even gayer
These characters make me uncomfortable. They look like they're desperate for social confrontation. I hate that.
SEX WITH PAULINE PHOENIX
Literally was a fricking /misc/ parody. A FTM blue haired troony having magical spooky adventures.
Why do these shows always have to be aggressively ugly
It was bold of this show to finally portray trans people as the narcissistic buttholes that they can be.
The bare minimum of parenting is keeping your kids from ruining their lives early on by doing idiotic shit like trooning out.

is there a download of the comics anywhere? i have a morbid curiosity

Haha, that HI-LARIOUS frens because a lot of transgender people are homeless themselves! 🙂

Transgenderism is corrosive to humanity and anything that encourages it should be suppressed.

troony-ism is a really weird religion.
What?
Tldr
nta but why does every Cinemaphile non-binary and troony have to look like pic related every single time
that's more a 2010s trend. the book the OP is based off was one of those 2010s things
As for the body they love to self insert because key part of being a troony is narcissism.
looks like a somehow even gayer version of steven trooniverse
Doesn't one of the main characters have AIDS?
I forgot the dog was voiced by Alex Brightman. He and Norma were the only ones that I really remember.
I hate this fugly shit. Kill it to death with death.
This show is weird, it's like the creator (an actual gay man AFAIK) consciously decided to pander to heckin smol gay bean teenage girls
Pause, No fricking way. Hell nah, Frick Hamish!!
Not gonna lie, I'd much rather frick a FtM trans than a MtF trans.
It’s like modern cartoons these days are either designed ultra simplistically so they could be drawn by 5 year olds or they just half assedly copy anime.
That, bulbous, round bright orange nose. Is that a clown?
might as well be.
>peak tumblr nose is just a clown nose
You can’t make this shit up.
