For some of the matches the ending scenes are so well-developed you can tell they had the winner in mind before they started to develop.
The ending for CU vs DB was so weaksauce I fully believe they had an alt ending made and debated the outcomes over development.

Played both but did not pay too much attention to the lore. How does Cole win exactly? Its kind of seems like Alex would have the advantage no? Like can't Alex just infect Cole with blacklight or something?
Cole's wincon is to fry Alex to death. Alex's wincon besides beating him to death is to infect his body and take it over.
Could Cole fry the infection from his cells?
It depends on his immune system and his powers. From what I remember playing infamous 1 & 2 as a kid, Cole does have some sort of system to prevent first attacks from infecting him in lore, but it's very much possible to stress it. He basically has an electrical cloak at all times.
Plus Alex can just disguise himself as a civilian and get close to Cole, but his radar pulse might be able to shut that down plus he's primarily a ranged fighter than a melee one.
The only two resistances we've seen for Cole are against the Black Tar and the Ray Field Plague. The second isn't a regular resistance and is just something that all conduits have, it would be like saying a regular human can resist ebola because they're not affected by a virus that only attacks dogs. The black tar is more like a traditional virus but it also takes way longer to fully infect people whereas Blacklight is near instant.
Alex doesn't even need to touch Cole to infect him since he kickstarts the Prototype 2 pandemic by releasing it in gas form.

Then there's the debate on the virus. Does Cole resist it because of conduit frickery or lose to it. It can go either way since he was vulnerable to the tar stuff
I'd have to look into it again but I think some shit involving the biology of the Conduits and stuff about then Ray Spheres would point to some resistance for Cole's DNA being overwritten by the Blacklight Virus.
I would consider endgame Evil Cole seperate from Beast Cole though

Evil Cole who absorbed the rey sphere in inFamous 1 was him at his strongest, but it isn't canon. They wouldn't scale him to Street fighter and Tekken Characters either cause he was a guest in that crossover game.
Kessler and Beast Cole are both different characters, so you can't really composite them. That and they already said they wouldn't.

Yes. His multitude of fights against The Beast, who he greatly damaged and even sort of killed. John tanked a nuke exploding in his face, as in he literally took no damage from it, and he also survived blowing up Empire City in one go. Both of which are far better durability feats than Alex's nuke survival.
The moon thing isn't even canon, in a technical sense. Even then it's complete overkill to give Cole since one good rocket barrage would be enough to put Alex down.
Misaka takes it in a rapestomp. Cole and horse are the betting favorites.

Misaka most likely since you can scale her verse much much higher than anything in HxH who caps at nuke level, unless I'm missing something.
Cole is the current running favorite mainly from Beast scaling, Alex having difficulty against Cross who uses electricity, and radar pulse/conduit disease resistance against Alex's typical instawins.
Chaos Horse is generally agreed to win against Bill because Bill can't really exploit his weakness.
Cole vs Alex was actually a pretty big debate back in the day. Obviously Alex is way stronger than Cole, but Cole isn't an idiot. Plus Alex has that weird thing with electricity so Cole can stun him at the beginning of the match and try to do a counter.
Given Cole's experience and intelligence, he's not going to go down easy.
Billcord was actually agreed to be a bill cipher win for the longest time. Only now that it's come back into the public consciousness it's been swapped to be a pony win. It depends on how you interpret them. I think it might be a cipher upset.

Is he really? If anything they're almost equal in terms of strength, since Cole can hold open the maws of beasts half the size of John, and sling ambulances and train cars around with ease.
Cole is actually more durable than Alex. Remember Cole survived the middle of a nuke sized explosion l, while Alex almost perished from being near one. Plus Cole has range on his side, including powers like the Ionic Storm and Vortex.

I'm going to admit I know very little about gravity fall but from what I've read he seems kind of limited compared to discord. Seems like he still needs to obey some rules compared to Discords shenanigans.
It has to do with the way he lost which required prep time and setup. I don't know what the pony can do to replicate that.
The problem is that Ciphers shenanigans would just power up discord. What would Doritos man do to kill discord? The only time we saw Discord "kill" was when poochie blasted him in the non-canon seasons. And even after that he just made his body again at the end of the episode.

The Death Battle crew needs to learn that if the fight isn't interesting theme-wise or has a historical legacy behind it, it should at least be evenly matched. DB maxes out realistically at about mountain level, with him withstanding the combined Greybeard shout
CU about city level at best if we're generous about the strength of the foes he defeated
but for example the speed feats are complete BS, Auriel's bow doesn't blot out the sun by physically shooting an arrow into it in seconds, the act of shooting an arrow at the sun is what completes the spell so to speak
Similarly Alduin isn't actually multiversal level strength, it's the personification of the end times, and when the DB fought him, he wasn't that much stronger than a lesser dragon by virtue of him not actually doing his job
Save vein, the CU acting as kindling for the first flame doesn't mean he's got multiversal strength either, it simply means that the act of him turning himself into kindling is one strong enough to keep existence going for a bit longer
fight itself was pretty good though, and actually would have fit the lesser strength calculations much better and honestly, seems to be designed to be at about that level

well the problem is that no matter the way the Chosen Undead was killed, due to him continuously regenerating it never would feel "final"
the Dragonborn putting out the first flame was a good compromise, though a bit lacking in execution
Putting out the flame is great but I can barely tell if he put it out or not on first watch. Just felt messy to me, personally I would’ve had the shout scene from behind Dova and then the camera sweeps with the shout and we see the embers blow away into ash. Dova falls to his knees panting and we can still have darkness consume the screen because that is a great touch. Just feels like it could’ve used another draft.
For a few seconds I wasn't sure exactly who won either.
