I don't know about that, trailer for next part of bleach showed him in his funny sun suit. Also his battle against Pernida is one of the better fights of the arc and probably the best of the royal guard fights. Not saying he'll be Kenpachi level, but he's pretty important and will become more popular.
Orochimaru and Medusa are actually villains for most of their runtime and Mayuri isn't, as he essentially becomes an ally after his initial encounter fight. He's just a weirdo with dubious ethics on the side of the heroes. In that way, he's better off fighting Stein from Soul Eater who can actually fight ghosts unlike Oro but also fulfills a similar role and also has a similar personality.
You know, that's a good point. Naruto had Kurama and Sage Mode to tell him where Ichigo is, and Madara has the Sharingan and Rinnegan. Orochimaru doesn't have any of those. He would be unable to detect any potential opponent from Bleach outside of getting hit by them.
They'd probably pull something similar to Naruto vs Ichigo in that since Oro saw his own soul being ripped out by the RDS, he could see him
I dunno man, chapter 124 seems to suggest that anyone that gets touched by the RDS Shinigami is able to see their own soul as a property of the technique itself. There's no indication Orochimaru has any normal means to see his own soul, let alone the soul of a hostile ghost. This seems another point against Orochimaru vs Mayuri, in that it might be a horrific stomp of a dude getting beat up by something he can't see.
I'm assuming Oro has had some research into spirits/souls, he did further advance Edo Tensei which calls upon souls (and knew everything that Kabuto would later know during the 4th War), not to mention pther ninja have specifically crafted jutsu with a user's soul in mind, specifically Dan and his Soul Transfer jutsu, as did Tobirama. Being that he thrived on collecting and mastering jutsu, I wouldn't put it ahead of Oro to have mastered some technique that let's him see souls (or perhaps his curse mark shit could do something similar since it's a knock-off sage mode)
That's a lot of assumptions, anon. Can you provide this technique that he could have access to and use that would let him detect a ghost that's trying to kill him?

Shame this series can't look at JoJo for what it is and has to bend over backwards to make these characters lightspeed planet busters or whatever. Especially when the series goes out of its way to show that Stands don't make you Superman even when they're strong. Which is generally why Ben wants connections that are about "the core of the character", and now we got Misaka vs Killua as to why the superficial thin connections aren't any good. It has to be about who the characters are as individuals and the roles in the story they play, not "electricity powers". If done right, it generally catches onto why crossover fandoms generally associated one character with another from a different series. It creates an interesting story. When done badly like with Misaka vs Killua you get a head-scratcher that will probably take a week to hit a million views. If you don't care for connections, you tend to get shit that looks like it was spewed out by the random match Twitter bot or the vs debate section of Space Battles.
Ideally, yeah. Misaka and Killua are a mismatch in terms of theme, in any event. Misaka's archetype is Hermione Granger and Annabeth Chase: clever girl that needs to be emotionally grounded. Killua's archetype is the creepy friend that is troublingly okay with murder, more similar to Gaara and Hiei.
If they want characterization connections, they failed horribly with Mikasa vs Killua, which was a transparent feed match.

Nah, this still makes sense. Terry is, at least combat-wise, a complete upgrade to Bruce in almost every way. Meanwhile, Miguel is more like a sidegrade to Peter: about equal in strength and speed, some new powers like claws and venom, but missing major powers like Spider Sense, and he doesn’t really have more advanced equipment than Peter does.

Hedorah's eye beams and physicals might be able to pop Chemo's vessel and copying Hedorah might exacerbate the weakness to dehydration much like it exacerbated kryptonian dependence on sunlight

Dragon ball is pretty much only 1 of the major franchises to cross both east and west so that's why it inevitably comes up a lot in vs battles. It's an easy series to get, and it appeals to a kid's sense of action. It's like a more modern he-man if that makes sense.

Very true, the speed difference is key. However, while Medic can self Uber, he needs to keep his Medigun equipped for his invulnerability state, so his ability to attack is disabled. Meanwhile, Edward can wait out this state. They could give Medic his comic feats and scaling, but I don't know how good that will do save for his Deal with the Devil.

If we are giving Edward access to perks, then it could be fair to possibly give Medic his MvM perks which give him a more offensive ability with his Uber. However, I think Perks from both sides should probably be a non factor as they aren't used in story much, and both games have them cost some sort of money to access them.
Uber build up is damn near unlikely unless Medic heals Richtofen or lands at least 4 Ubersaw hits.
Medics Self Heal and Speed would let him edge out a win if he was fighting an opponent in a Melee battle, but I don't think he could keep his range from Edward long enough.

Swap Speed Cola with Stamin-Up and yeah. His Perk abilities greatly outweigh what Medic can throw at him, especially if he's allowed more than 4. I think compositing Richtofen is hard as we have question what he gets real access to. Would he only get weapons given to him based off the maps he's been on? Is it going to be Old Timeline Rich or new Timeline Richtofen? Does he get the Soul Orb to stop Medic from reviving himself by making another Pact with the Devil?

I'd say old timeline Richtofen works best since the connections are insane former mad German scientists in multiplayer/co-op games, plus it gives a good hero vs villain scenario. As for the soul orb, probably not since very specific things have to be done for him to access it. Richtofen could of course use the time bomb instead to reverse time back to when he planted it.

I think that might be giving him too much considering he has 0 physical interaction with Buried, granted Old Timeline Richtofen becomes in control over the Aether in BO2. However, he could have access to the Gersch Device, causing a mini Black Hole which for some reason also lets him teleport(?).
I think this matches outcome is purely determined by what you can give each fighter. If Medic has Access to all of his weaponry, he might be able to one shot Rich (Headshot with the Crossbow) or use him to heal (iirc there's a Needle Gun that heals Medic based on how many shots he lands on opponents). If Rich has access to all of his Weaponry, he wins more times than not though.

Medic's MvM upgrades that aren't about healing are more minor statistical upgrades as opposed to game changers. He'd be helped more by the canteen and the ability to use Halloween magic. Yeah, the only non-healing way for him to build uber is the ubersaw. Medic has precisely one way to win, and that's skeezy gameplay scaling to Scout being FTL from the Cross-Comm express.

Is Spider-Man ACTUALLY street-level? I know him and Batman are considered the quintessential mascots of street-tier, but the power gap between Peter and Bruce is so large that, short of bringing a fricking mechsuit, there’s no way Bruce can win. Nope, pocket realm, which is confirmed by the next scene where they're standing outside, with clouds. But he might actually be the strongest FF protag because he fuses with the Eikons, which are the summons from other games. He'd be a cool match for Yuri Hyuga, but I don't think even at it's craziest Shadow Hearts can match FF.
I'd say Tank could potentially win it if he's allowed perks like Deadshot daiquiri, PHD flopper, Stamin up and Revive soda. Otherwise I'd say BJ would win more times than not since he's shown better feats of strength and durability than Tank eg surviving his head getting cut off and duel wielding mg42s. Orochimaru and Medusa are actually villains for most of their runtime and Mayuri isn't, as he essentially becomes an ally after his initial encounter fight. He's just a weirdo with dubious ethics on the side of the heroes. In that way, he's better off fighting Stein from Soul Eater who can actually fight ghosts unlike Oro but also fulfills a similar role and also has a similar personality.

You know, that's a good point. Naruto had Kurama and Sage Mode to tell him where Ichigo is, and Madara has the Sharingan and Rinnegan. Orochimaru doesn't have any of those. He would be unable to detect any potential opponent from Bleach outside of getting hit by them.
I dunno man, chapter 124 seems to suggest that anyone that gets touched by the RDS Shinigami is able to see their own soul as a property of the technique itself. There's no indication Orochimaru has any normal means to see his own soul, let alone the soul of a hostile ghost. This seems another point against Orochimaru vs Mayuri, in that it might be a horrific stomp of a dude getting beat up by something he can't see.
I'm assuming Oro has had some research into spirits/souls, he did further advance Edo Tensei which calls upon souls (and knew everything that Kabuto would later know during the 4th War), not to mention pther ninja have specifically crafted jutsu with a user's soul in mind, specifically Dan and his Soul Transfer jutsu, as did Tobirama. Being that he thrived on collecting and mastering jutsu, I wouldn't put it ahead of Oro to have mastered some technique that let's him see souls (or perhaps his curse mark shit could do something similar since it's a knock-off sage mode)

The quality of an episode never correlates to how many superficial similarities each combatant shares.
Honestly, characters with more connections usually means LESS interesting fights, because it often means the characters have the same powersets, which leads to the debate being “who has the bigger numbers?”. Hence why matches like Aquaman vs Namor were boring as shit, while matches like Raiden vs Wolverine had a lot more substance behind them.
Which is generally why Ben wants connections that are about "the core of the character", and now we got Misaka vs Killua as to why the superficial thin connections aren't any good. It has to be about who the characters are as individuals and the roles in the story they play, not "electricity powers". If done right, it generally catches onto why crossover fandoms generally associated one character with another from a different series. It creates an interesting story. When done badly like with Misaka vs Killua you get a head-scratcher that will probably take a week to hit a million views. If you don't care for connections, you tend to get shit that looks like it was spewed out by the random match Twitter bot or the vs debate section of Space Battles.
So something easy to get in one sentence while not being superficial.
Ideally, yeah. Misaka and Killua are a mismatch in terms of theme, in any event. Misaka's archetype is Hermione Granger and Annabeth Chase: clever girl that needs to be emotionally grounded. Killua's archetype is the creepy friend that is troublingly okay with murder, more similar to Gaara and Hiei.
Rin Tohsaka is probably Misaka’s best matchup. But Killua’s kinda fricked, since all of his thematic matchups stomp him.

Would be cool if you could do this to enemies in game as a last resort. I think it'd be an odd battle, especially if they give Richtofen access to Wonder Weapons. Those alone blow Medic out of the water, who already doesn't have that many Offense weapons to begin with.
They could say he could Uber charge himself and make himself immune to the wonder weapons. Plus he's one of the fastest characters in TF2 while Richtofen is limited to just short sprints like any other CoD character
Very true, the speed difference is key. However, while Medic can self Uber, he needs to keep his Medigun equipped for his invulnerability state, so his ability to attack is disabled. Meanwhile, Edward can wait out this state. They could give Medic his comic feats and scaling, but I don't know how good that will do save for his Deal with the Devil.
If we are giving Edward access to perks, then it could be fair to possibly give Medic his MvM perks which give him a more offensive ability with his Uber. However, I think Perks from both sides should probably be a non factor as they aren't used in story much, and both games have them cost some sort of money to access them.
Uber build up is damn near unlikely unless Medic heals Richtofen or lands at least 4 Ubersaw hits.
Medics Self Heal and Speed would let him edge out a win if he was fighting an opponent in a Melee battle, but I don't think he could keep his range from Edward long enough.
Richtofen could catch-up with speed cola if he's allowed it. Juggarnog, quick revive and Stamin up could be the equalizer for that.
Swap Speed Cola with Stamin-Up and yeah. His Perk abilities greatly outweigh what Medic can throw at him, especially if he's allowed more than 4. I think compositing Richtofen is hard as we have question what he gets real access to. Would he only get weapons given to him based off the maps he's been on? Is it going to be Old Timeline Rich or new Timeline Richtofen? Does he get the Soul Orb to stop Medic from reviving himself by making another Pact with the Devil?
I'd say old timeline Richtofen works best since the connections are insane former mad German scientists in multiplayer/co-op games, plus it gives a good hero vs villain scenario. As for the soul orb, probably not since very specific things have to be done for him to access it. Richtofen could of course use the time bomb instead to reverse time back to when he planted it.

It could be a slightly more fair fight, since all the cosmic horror stuff didn't come until Black Ops 3.

I think that might be giving him too much considering he has 0 physical interaction with Buried, granted Old Timeline Richtofen becomes in control over the Aether in BO2. However, he could have access to the Gersch Device, causing a mini Black Hole which for some reason also lets him teleport(?).
I think this matches outcome is purely determined by what you can give each fighter. If Medic has Access to all of his weaponry, he might be able to one shot Rich (Headshot with the Crossbow) or use him to heal (iirc there's a Needle Gun that heals Medic based on how many shots he lands on opponents). If Rich has access to all of his Weaponry, he wins more times than not though.
A shame that this is probably Richtofens best MU. Meanwhile Medic at least could fight Mercy and I think that's a more fair fight

The fact that Richtofen has actual guns instead of Medical equipment gives him a major advantage. If we give Richtofen perks, should the Medic have his MvM upgrades? Even then, I'm not sure how much that would help.
I forget, does Medic have to build up Uber without healing his teammates? The only one that comes to mind is the Ubersaw.
If zombies are involved in the same way they were in Leon vs Frank, he could kill a bunch of them with the ubersaw to access it.
Medic's MvM upgrades that aren't about healing are more minor statistical upgrades as opposed to game changers. He'd be helped more by the canteen and the ability to use Halloween magic. Yeah, the only non-healing way for him to build uber is the ubersaw. Medic has precisely one way to win, and that's skeezy gameplay scaling to Scout being FTL from the Cross-Comm express.
If we want to get literal, I believe Medic has a Saw that straight up takes Organs from people.

Is Spider-Man ACTUALLY street-level? I know him and Batman are considered the quintessential mascots of street-tier, but the power gap between Peter and Bruce is so large that, short of bringing a fricking mechsuit, there’s no way Bruce can win. Does that not warrant a tier difference? Hell, most other street-tiers are far closer to Bat and Cap than they are to Spidey. Tier-wise, the entire Spider-family seems like kind of an anomaly

Spiderman can be hurt by bullets, he's markedly in street tier.
Shouldn't he be wall-level? I remember a casual feat was lifting a train. The impression I get even at normal (obvs considering intention and non-wanked) is he's enhanced, not a literal human like batman. His output is not overly enhanced but durability alone should make it 9-B to 9-C, probably.
Cap is also different in that he's enhanced but not overtly so, unlike bat who's human. Whether the enhancement is enough to compare to 20 martial arts put together is up to the writer (who'll likely place both in universal somehow).

And if we allow the lasergun and a mech suit of his own, then BJ could overpower Tank. BJ also has far better H2H skills than Tank iirc.
