As far as Jaws clones go, it's not bad. In the wild, Orcas are a Great White's only predator, and more intelligent since they're mammals, so the movie played into that.
None of the Jaws sequels ever scratched that same itch for me.
There was a show on either animal planet or discovery that would go really in depth on which animal would win if two were to really fight. Can't remember the exact title but I recall they'd even construct mechanical jaws of the given animal to test its bite strength and shit like that.
I miss fun stuff like that and Deadly Warrior.
-Both have are stated to be the strongest amongst their peers (Raoh is the strongest among the Hokuto brothers while Yuugi is stated to be the stronger than Suika and Kasen)
-Their immense strengths compliment their fighting styles (Go no ken focuses on pure strength to defeat his opponents while Yuugi's strength helps her in activating her spell cards)
-Both are very tall among their peers

Susanoo was mentioned as being so fundamentally ingrained into the very fabric of the cosmology that he couldnt be dealt with without going to the previously mentioned DC Source parallel as well as shifting perception of him
Sol Badguy was a Gary Stu and Guilty Gear having varied wank stuff. Not only does it force many characters to be Out of Character, it also makes characters who WOULD kill their opponent less impactful. that was a years old blog. i think that anon is talking about a recent-ish dbc from this year, where he said he thinks kira loses. fwiw i vaguely remember it, but I've no interest in actually combing through dozens of hours of episodes to find it.
To my recollection, Kira's bombs were inconsistent; sometimes they damage, other times they destroy in one blast.

It's been a while but I thought the whole idea of the main killer queen touch is that it explodes you into nothing. Josuke was able to prevent it because of his stand power.
When he's using it as a trap or attaching it to the stray cat bullets, then it's an explosion. Because what's actually exploding is the object and that does aoe damage.

I'm pretty sure Horikoshi wanted to do a thing akin to The Watchmen and Doctor Manhattan, with All Might (and thus All For One) simply standing tiers and tiers above everyone else, while everyone else were shown as fairly grounded. That's why even flying is a super rare ability that even the number 2 can't do well.
But then as the manga started to come to a close he also wanted to give the impression of the youth surpassing their predecessors. Which creates some weird scaling inconsistencies, like "high end" nomu seeming to be weaker than the one All Might fought, even though by all metrics they are supposed to be stronger (and smarter).
Manhattan is completely unkillable and could solve everything in the plot. What a strange take that MHA's writer wanted to do a Watchmen rather than X-Men or some other marvel property.
It doesn't. Manhattan isn't even "tiers and tiers" above every character, he transcend tiers entirely in his verse. All Might is not god or godlike, he does not have that potential in his own verse.

Korra’s stronger in the Avatar State, but she has no actual defense for getting disintegrated or atomized with a Neon headshot or Video backstab. In base she’d get ragdolled since Delsin has the feat of nuking the Concrete Island while pissed. His strongest attack (Lightning Storm) would be enough to turn Alex into ash, the speed difference is negligible since Cole has a multitude of heat seeking bolts and blasts (redirect rocket, sticky rocket, split grenades) and can already slow down his perception of time, and his other abilities like ice, which is completely sub zero, and napalm, which allows him to drain beings into shriveled up corpses, would be enough to put Alex down, regardless of if you’re sticking with one Karmatic route or the other.
Alex could potentially speedblitz, but that’s only if you ignore that Cole has about five different AOE attacks and a passive generation of electricity that could shock Alex if the fight gets a bit wet.

Probably be Jigsaw(John Kramer) or Springtrap, since both their movies come out next month. When doing the Billy videos in Saw they open with static, and they have the static from camera switching in FNAF. The problem with Jigsaw is while his traps are deadly, he's an old man with cancer, and surprisingly capable, he's not superhuman in anyway, so it would be hard to find a half decent opponent.

The detective, the forensics guy, and Dr. Gordon are never actually shown doing anything alongside John, well outside of the forensics guy cleaning up the first game at the end of Jigsaw. Zearth went through 15 other robots, and each of those robots also had a grid showing they had 15 pilots (and thus needed to kill 15 other robots themselves to clear the tournament). Meaning the robot Zearth fought at the end had gone through, for instance, 14 other robots we don't see off-screen.
They didn't. The bot Zearth fought as his 15th killed 14, the bot Zearth fought as his 14th killed 13, etc.
Zearth, by the way, is fascinating for Death Battle because of how fricking weird he is. Weird robot for a weird series.
First of all, it's huge by conventional mecha standards. 500 m, straight-up. That's two Gunbusters. The Taranis is like a big RC car by comparison.
Second, it's "laser" is actually nothing of the sort. It's Zearth shooting off little flakes of its own skin like a railgun. That's Zearth's power, by the way, likely a subtle reference to the most common super robot power (rocketo puncheeeee). It can detach any part of itself, an ability to kids use to break grapples and shorten Zearth's reach when it becomes cumbersome.

Kind of low, actually, as their multiverse is already doing some of the work for them (the whole reason they're doing the fighting tournament in the first place is because their multiverse is too large and needs pruning or the whole thing shorts out and dies. Universes too similar to each other have to fight to preserve diversity).
They are only ever shown blowing up singular universes at a time.
Other elder races from other stories probably see them as morons. The Q's and Elders of the Universe would be like "Really? You have them fight because you can't fix your multiverse? We have them fight because we think its fun."

I also agree that DB limiting itself to the Death got old many seasons ago. Not only does it force many characters to be Out of Character, it also makes characters who WOULD kill their opponent less impactful. Especially for villains, as their villany becomes underplayed as death is just the norm for DB.It was hip for the time DB first started, but these days it's outdated, especially as they begin to highlight the actual personality of characters more and more.

But then as the manga started to come to a close he also wanted to give the impression of the youth surpassing their predecessors. Which creates some weird scaling inconsistencies, like "high end" nomu seeming to be weaker than the one All Might fought, even though by all metrics they are supposed to be stronger (and smarter).
Manhattan is completely unkillable and could solve everything in the plot. What a strange take that MHA's writer wanted to do a Watchmen rather than X-Men or some other marvel property.

His strongest attack (Lightning Storm) would be enough to turn Alex into ash, the speed difference is negligible since Cole has a multitude of heat seeking bolts and blasts (redirect rocket, sticky rocket, split grenades) and can already slow down his perception of time, and his other abilities like ice, which is completely sub zero, and napalm, which allows him to drain beings into shriveled up corpses, would be enough to put Alex down, regardless of if you’re sticking with one Karmatic route or the other.
Alex could potentially speedblitz, but that’s only if you ignore that Cole has about five different AOE attacks and a passive generation of electricity that could shock Alex if the fight gets a bit wet.

Second, it's "laser" is actually nothing of the sort. It's Zearth shooting off little flakes of its own skin like a railgun. That's Zearth's power, by the way, likely a subtle reference to the most common super robot power (rocketo puncheeeee). It can detach any part of itself, an ability to kids use to break grapples and shorten Zearth's reach when it becomes cumbersome.
