The devs didn't plan for it but it's still possible within the game itself, the same way I could play Shadow Dragon with only Marth and Gordon and have the rest of my army die. Dimitri soloing is the same. It's just another way of playing within the confines of what the game allows. So either accept both or none. If none, then we stick to what the game's story and tone implies happens, which is Dimitri leading an army throughout the whole game.

No, because the answer is neither. Conduits only unlock powers like that when they’re mind broken beyond belief. Unless Alex kills Zeke in front of Cole, he’s not unlocking time travel like Kessler.
The only one who could time travel was Kessler and he was just an alternative timeline version of an older Cole who dies in the first game. It wouldn't make sense to give Cole that ability since he never unlocks it himself and he canonically dies in the 2nd game.

I've been looking into the Lich vs Aku and I'm convinced that for the Lich to win, you not only need to wank him via what's already in the cosmology he inhabits, but to also have him act completely OOC since for the most part the greatest danger to come of him is his patience and ability to wait as long as it takes, and otherwise a short scuffle (which DB prefers) would end with Aku winning.

I prefer Alex in a straight fight but given how Death Battle is Cole is taking this 99%. Nobody on the team has some form of bias for either of em like there was for the other nonsense verdicts this season and if there were any it'd be toward Cole due to being the most capeshit adjacent. Besides, Cole has far better sources of turbo wank and admittedly does have a fair amount of counter options and reasonable debates.
Main way I can see them pulling a win for Alex is if they say the virus is able to overpower Cole's resistance (saying its way superior to the other two pathogens he faced and was affected by to some degree) and Alex kills him that way popping out of him after getting lightning nuked

I’ve only played Prototype so my bias is for Alex, he may be the definition of edge but playing that game took me back to being a kid in the 2000s.
My boy Cole of course, mainly since he effectively outclasses Alex from every range. Close range is Ionic Storm/Freeze, bio drain and grav/shatter bolt territory, mid range is ice grenade/rocket territory, and far range is precision bolt and redirect rocket territory.
Cole’s stronger and more durable with better reaction speed, and Alex has better combat/traveling speed, but it gets beaten out by Cole’s numerous AOEs and tracking attacks.

Never played Infamous, how strong is Cole? I can't remember the ending of Prototype 1 well but if I recall right Mercer was taken out by a nuke and reformed himself from a hand sized piece of flesh, I'd imagine Cole would have to show he has the power of a nuke at least?
Cole has a lot of story wank like Beast (or maybe it was Kessler) making big krater on the moon or some shit along. Infamous 2 goes further with Cole fighting a dude that tanked a mini nuke / missile or something but I forget if there were some details about him being able to hurt him (I think he got juiced for that fight along with some other stuff). Either way though Cole can definitely dish out big lightning damage along with some other tricks.
Alex gives off more of a feel of power as the fricker can book it across a city with sheer speed. Like ignoring weird stuff in both games if you told me Cole could survive Alex just blitzing him and chopping his limbs off with his sword arm mode I'd call bullshit. From my perspective its a match where either can feasibly frick up the other immediately depending on who gets the hit.

I don’t know how that’s insane to believe when 1. Cole has already taken beatings from people who outspend him, and could impale humans with ease, but couldn’t hurt Cole beyond gashing him, 2. He’s got better durability feats that completely outclass what Mercer could dish out. And 3. His bolts and reactions are faster than Alex.
To me it just seems like you think Cole wank originates from The Future Beast blowing apart the moon, so you forget that he has actual feats and displays of power that’d put him above Mercer.

Delsin reforms his body after his Smoke Karmatic Bomb, Eugene can reform his angelic form even if he hasn’t been badly hurt. The only argument for John being by the nuke is “he did the thing from the beginning of the game!” Even though every available source says that he wasn’t hurt by it.

If you’re not trying to say that it was the nuke then I don’t see why you’d even bring up Second Son. If anything that just harms your argument since it shows an example of what it’d look like if John was actually really hurt by the bomb. He’d be dust immediately.
Again, your entire argument hinges on the fact that he reformed explosively, but Zeke and a news anchor later on both claim that it did frick all to John, we don’t even see him take damage from the bomb, and Delsin does a similar reformation in his KMB’s. So that’s one argument for your point and about three against it.

Cole could already tank atomization from John and the Ray Sphere going off, so him getting knocked down by the shockwaves is a moot point (especially since he wasn’t even at full power at that point in the story), and the nuke argument applies to his AP, not his durability.

Constantly going “nuh uh”isn’t exactly changing the fact that you’re trying to spin the narrative that John spontaneously got a heart attack and died after not being visibly harmed. If the nuke killed him (spoilers, it didn’t), they would’ve actually shown that by, I don’t know, having him explode like when Cole dumps lightning on him.

You realize that John blowing up Empire City is a stronger feat for both AP and durability than what a nuke could dish out right? EC is massive, and John turned it into a smoldering mess with one explosion, Cole being able to match that power does make sense, because he’s trying to kill John in the first place. How can you claim that something can’t be narratively accurate when you yourself very obviously haven’t consumed the narrative.

Haven't played these games in years. Wasn't John blowing up every city in his path to active the conduits? If so then that means Cole took out a casual city buster. As tough as Alex is, I don't really see him blowing up cities like John is or tanking similar attacks. So safe to say even if Alex is faster and has more transformations, Cole's attacks would be too strong for him and he has enough counters like the pulse rader to find him?
Unlikely, since we see him fall down after the nuke without any loss of parts but later on see Cole blast chunks out of him. If they wanted to show the nuke destroyed his physical form they could easily have done so.

Yeah. Ideally they would only pull from one piece of media for each. The Evolution movie and the N64 game (yes I know Evolution has a PSP game but I don't think it would even add anything to Goku's arsenal or make him more powerful). But DB would probably just use DCAU stuff as well. Which kinda goes against the theme of the most popular vs debate of all time, but it's their the worst/most infamous versions.
Technically he's nerfed DCAU Superman, as the virtual reality he's trapped inside drains his powers. That was the explanation given in the pack-in comic for why he sucks so hard in the game.

H-hey, I watched Rebirth. I leech of someone else'e Netflix and I'm a sucker for whatever kaiju shit they put out, I watched Singular Point too. Rebirth is...eh, fine. The villain is a weird autistic sociopath lady, it felt like two of the writers disagreed about how redeemable she was supposed to be. Actually the show's human villains in general are really weird in never actually explaining why they want to wipe out humanity with kaiju, only that it's...le good. And the thing as whole kind of has a japanese Stranger Things vibe.
Unfortunately for the purposes of Death Battle I'm not sure how much it does for Gamera. On the one hand, Gamera does laser a moon base near the end. On the other hand, earlier in the movie some literal who kaiju that never even blow up a city on their own leave him so injured he needs extensive human medical help (and some plot minerals) to recover

Alex would probably take the speed advantage. Cole in game couldn't keep up with Kuo or Nix and it takes him longer to scale buildings or traverse the map than Alex. Unless you wanna count the final mission where he fights either one while fighting the beast.
They're giving 5 nanoseconds to Alex based on his perception speed as he absorbs people and their memories in about 11 seconds.

Alex's absorption should be mentioned more. Dude literally has the knowledge and skills of a bunch of military soldiers and scientist. Plus he in terms of lifting strength, he can lift a tank with 1 arm. Dont forget Alex can use guns and other weapons while Cole can't.
He also has the benefit of fodder assists. Yeah Cole can ash em but dont underestimate the distraction and sheer overwhelming attack while Alex is free to reposition or pot shot him. Alex should completely outclass Cole in terms of tactics and smarts
Kessler transferred all of his experience and life into Cole at the end 1, and he’s over a hundred years old, not to mention that he’s worked with and helped form the First Sons. Cole’s got plenty of military knowledge just through Kessler.
Kessler doesnt really show it and its not like that is his primary focus so age doesnt really mean much on that front. Alex has the edge in compositing a legion of specialists
Even if you want to argue that he didn’t gain much military experience, Cole would still have more info on freaks and powered individuals through Kessler, who spent decades researching and partially creating them. That especially applies to the NotAlex Cole merked.

Kessler is one guy with years of information on monsters like Alex, and partial military information since he was Moya’s butt buddy. Alex doesn’t have knowledge regarding freaks like Cole, and military experience won’t make up for that.
I dont see how Kessler dabbling with conduit(?) stuff means Cole would know anything about what makes Alex tick. Knowing how one freak works doesnt mean you know how another works unless they operate under the same umbrella which Alex doesnt.
Not like this aspect matters though because we all know they barely ever consider smarts, tactics, and all that as they just go "this thing mean stupid big number so they win frick any other conceivable factors"
Personally I view it as Alex taking speed, smarts, and overall durability while Cole takes versatility and raw power output (but said power output is frick huge).

Alex definitely takes durability. While yes, Cole survived the Ray Sphere; it's a device specifically made to activate conduit genes. So they remained unharmed. Just like what happened with Nix, Bertrand, and that one npc when John revealed himself. Everyone died except them, because they were conduits. So it not accurate to claim Cole can survive a nuke just from bring up the ray sphere. While yeah Alex almost died to one, he was able to return just from the flesh of a bird. Cole meanwhile needs to be in an area with plenty if electricity. Especially if they going with good Cole who doesn't just take it from civilians.
Also like to add that this would mean evil Cole would probably stomp Alex since he gains the beasts powers in the end. So just one beast blast, and Alex is vaporized since he's not a conduit. But evil Cole is not canon, so meh.

Can eat/absorb people, track you down like a bloodhound, slash and gash you, gets stronger after consumption etc, Kessler was using him like a toy for years. That’s the sort of experience that Cole should be getting. I’m also still not sure how military knowledge is going to help Alex in this fight, since Cole has already handled super powered military men.
It killed everyone because it turned their bio electricity into energy, but that doesn’t really make the resulting explosions that are caused nonexistent, especially since Cole was in the center of two of them, the original being powerful enough to make the district he was in look like a warzone afterwards. Cole also has feats where he’s tanked John’s atomizing palm and sub zero beams on numerous occasions, so the durability stat should actually go to him.
