I'm aware the Turtles have better scaling, I just said DB will probably ignore it, but still give all the crossover scaling to RWBY, even playing it above where the crossovers had them. Like if you count Injustice, the Turtles scale to Superman, Darksied, GL, and whoever else you care to name at the Injustice power level, which isn't equal to mainline, but still better than where JLxRWBY had them. I’m a DB Champion and let me set the record straight, They did mention the matchup and that they were thinking about doing it, but they didn’t confirmed it was going to happen 100% (they have previously clarified that the only two matchups are guaranteed to happen are Maka vs Ruby, (for when RWBY finishes and/or RT goes under), and Wiz vs Boomstick as the series finale).

I honestly agree, at least in the sense that choosing the winner based on what “feels right” is more faithful to both characters’ stories than choosing who is mathematically stronger. NO ONE would write a story where Ryu loses to Scorpion. NO ONE would write a story where Hulk would lose to Doomsday. NO ONE would write a story where Saitama loses to anyone. Ignoring the roles these characters play in their narratives is ignoring a core part of their character. At that point, you’re not rooting for the character; you’re rooting for a shallow husk of the character based on calculations from extremely brief out-of-context moments from a small handful of their fights.
That's the whole point of battleboarding autism, discarding narrative conventions and looking at what the characters are seemingly capable of, like if you were comparing the two fighters' capabilities in real life. Of course, it's somewhat arbitrary, since the creators probably didn't think a bunch of nerds would be dissecting their stuff for feats, probably didn't put a lot of thought into the exact specifics of scaling, and these characters weren't created to go up against some completely unrelated character. So it might end up with something pretty ridiculous due to stuff like obvious bullshit or contradictory statements fro the creator. But that comes with the territory of dissecting fiction as if it were real life.

How the frick is the animation even gonna go? Are they gonna nerf Asura to dogsled-tier, or buff Kratos to where he’s throwing planets at Asura with his bare hands? Either way just completely butchers one of the characters and makes them nigh-unrecognizable.
That reminds me of another problem with that matchup, how it'll look. Kratos has a large variety of weapons and magic to work with whole Asura exclusively has punches and the occasional ki blast. At least with someone like Pit or Doomslayer you have a bunch to work with.

Although Makima can transfer damage, she still takes on the effects initially so she can be decapitated or dismembered. Gojo could launch a large purple that annihilates her all at once, leaving nothing to regenerate from.
The second way is harming her with no ill intent. Almost similar to how Denji had love for Makima as he ate her, Gojo could possibly have the mentality of wanting to show Makima love as he did during the fight with Sukuna.

Except he didn't? Luffy had at best a very basic grasp of the concept. When he dodges Rayleigh while blindfolded, he did so because he could sense his presence. He knew where he was, and so dodged to what he was doing, not what he was going to do in the future.
This is showcased clear as day in the fight with Katakuri, where Luffy is actively trying to teach himself Future Sight while Katakuri is beating his ass.

You can argue that the concept of future sight was hinted at earlier. Hell, Usopp 'imagining' Luffy and Law being turned into toys by Sugar before he saved them could be interpreted as future sight.
But that doesn't change the fact that it wasn't solidly established until Katakuri, and that Luffy, absolutely, DID NOT have future sight until that fight.
If he did, he wouldn't have needed to stand still, close his eyes, try and focus, only to eat punches multiple times while trying to use future sight. Which was my point. Luffy at the time of him dodging the Pacifista lasers did not have future sight.

If Enel had Future Sight, then Luffy punching the wall to make his fists bounce randomly at Enel wouldn't have worked, because he'd still be able to dodge it, but he didn't. Because they were random with even Luffy not knowing where they'd end up.
There would be zero reason to highlight Luffy trying so hard to use future sight against Katakuri if he already had it.

You've provided to me zero evidence that mantra/Luffy's version prior to WCI/Katakuri's version work any differently. And in fact, the fact that Katakuri's version is a direct copy of what we see in the movie Z, a movie that happens between FI and PH, pretty much tells you it's all a continuation of the same power.
Luffy gets blitzed all the time by faster opponents and, he's just not grazing light speed without relying to path prediction.

Here. Clear as day. Rayleigh spells out that Luffy's most efficient usage of Observation Haki is the one where he senses the presence, feelings, and intent of others. From that, he says that Luffy has the capability to predict movements.
And treated separately from that sensing/prediction, is the statement that some people can see the future. There is no indication that they are one in the same, just that future sight is another level of Observation Haki.
The fact that you continue to try and use a fricking non-canon movie's eye effect, which has been used for shit like Nargacuga from Monster Hunter for the cool factor, as a way of trying to prove your point just shows how little legs you actually have to stand on.
I never claimed Luffy has never gotten blitzed, only that he only ever learned how to use Future Sight during the Katakuri fight.

What are you trying to pull exactly? Precognition is obviously relevant. By the very definition of the ability you react to attacks faster than someone who reacted instantly to the attack happening.
Like for example, Shanks saw and -reacted- to Kidd's railgun shot before it even happened. If had lightspeed reactions he would have seen it happen, and then intercepted it before it hit. But he was faster than that.
Every enemy Luffy has fought while he had future sight also had some degree of observation ability at the very least. He was unable to touch Katakuri at first because of future sight, but when Katakuri got mad and lost his ability to use observation temporarily, Luffy was able to hit him, implying Katakuri wasn't just faster.

In terms of a single event, yeah. You can't "pure react" faster than instant and precog lets you potentially avoid something faster than that.
Of course most fighters in any battle series will do this to some degree by their experience/instinct allowing them to make predictions about the opponent will do, but it's not an actual "see something and then do something about it" like future sight is.

The fact is that it's the opposite, speed doesn't matter as much if the fast guy doesn't have precog. There are no top tiers without observation in One Piece so it doesn't come up.
I think it's easiest to give an example like this, even if it doesn't make sense at first:
You, a normal human, are much slower than lightning. Yet, you can get hit by lightning. Lightning isn't trying to hit you per se. You just happen to be there when the lightning wants to happen.
To simplify things let's say that lightning decides to hit a predetermined spot and your height didn't make you more likely to be chosen. If you knew where that spot was a few seconds ahead of time, you could theoretically move to stand in that spot, if you wanted to. If it were within a few feet of you, that's totally reasonable. Of course, you'd be more likely to move away, but for the sake of argument we're working with the idea that you want to stand in the lightning. How fast can you move in a second? I'd say 2-3 feet in one step, more if you really try. If you have a few seconds of warning you could travel even further before it goes off.
So it has limits, but with say 5 seconds of advanced warning even you, an untrained human, could completely reasonably "react" to lightning and intersect with where it strikes within a radius of say 10 feet. This is basically what it would be like trying to hit lightning as a One Piece top tier, the only difference is that you're punching it instead of standing in it. It wouldn't be that hard at all. Even you could do it, you certainly don't have to be faster than it.
Now, it's a different story if the lightning also has precog, of course.

Even beyond just pacing, which includes both non-canon and canon filler with super dragged out scenes, you're also going to end up missing out on cover stories, many of which end up having relevance to the main story at some point.
At most I can only recommend watching the anime while avoiding the filler, up until Post-Timeskip. That's when the anime gets really bad.

I honestly agree, at least in the sense that choosing the winner based on what “feels right” is more faithful to both characters’ stories than choosing who is mathematically stronger. NO ONE would write a story where Ryu loses to Scorpion. NO ONE would write a story where Hulk would lose to Doomsday. NO ONE would write a story where Saitama loses to anyone. Ignoring the roles these characters play in their narratives is ignoring a core part of their character. At that point, you’re not rooting for the character; you’re rooting for a shallow husk of the character based on calculations from extremely brief out-of-context moments from a small handful of their fights.
That's the whole point of battleboarding autism, discarding narrative conventions and looking at what the characters are seemingly capable of, like if you were comparing the two fighters' capabilities in real life. Of course, it's somewhat arbitrary, since the creators probably didn't think a bunch of nerds would be dissecting their stuff for feats, probably didn't put a lot of thought into the exact specifics of scaling, and these characters weren't created to go up against some completely unrelated character. So it might end up with something pretty ridiculous due to stuff like obvious bullshit or contradictory statements fro the creator. But that comes with the territory of dissecting fiction as if it were real life.

You've provided to me zero evidence that mantra/Luffy's version prior to WCI/Katakuri's version work any differently. What are you trying to pull exactly? Precognition is obviously relevant. By the very definition of the ability you react to attacks faster than someone who reacted instantly to the attack happening.
Like for example, Shanks saw and -reacted- to Kidd's railgun shot before it even happened. If had lightspeed reactions he would have seen it happen, and then intercepted it before it hit. But he was faster than that.
Every enemy Luffy has fought while he had future sight also had some degree of observation ability at the very least. He was unable to touch Katakuri at first because of future sight, but when Katakuri got mad and lost his ability to use observation temporarily, Luffy was able to hit him, implying Katakuri wasn't just faster.

In terms of a single event, yeah. You can't "pure react" faster than instant and precog lets you potentially avoid something faster than that.
Of course most fighters in any battle series will do this to some degree by their experience/instinct allowing them to make predictions about the opponent will do, but it's not an actual "see something and then do something about it" like future sight is.
But what about the times precog fails and the character's real reaction speed is revealed to not be good

If you're just predicting the path, it does. That is how precog works. It's the reason why you can get tagged by people faster than you. Seeing the future is irrelevant if you can't dodge it.

The fact is that it's the opposite, speed doesn't matter as much if the fast guy doesn't have precog. There are no top tiers without observation in One Piece so it doesn't come up.
I think it's easiest to give an example like this, even if it doesn't make sense at first:
You, a normal human, are much slower than lightning. Yet, you can get hit by lightning. Lightning isn't trying to hit you per se. You just happen to be there when the lightning wants to happen.
To simplify things let's say that lightning decides to hit a predetermined spot and your height didn't make you more likely to be chosen. If you knew where that spot was a few seconds ahead of time, you could theoretically move to stand in that spot, if you wanted to. If it were within a few feet of you, that's totally reasonable. Of course, you'd be more likely to move away, but for the sake of argument we're working with the idea that you want to stand in the lightning. How fast can you move in a second? I'd say 2-3 feet in one step, more if you really try. If you have a few seconds of warning you could travel even further before it goes off.
So it has limits, but with say 5 seconds of advanced warning even you, an untrained human, could completely reasonably "react" to lightning and intersect with where it strikes within a radius of say 10 feet. This is basically what it would be like trying to hit lightning as a One Piece top tier, the only difference is that you're punching it instead of standing in it. It wouldn't be that hard at all. Even you could do it, you certainly don't have to be faster than it.
Now, it's a different story if the lightning also has precog, of course.
