You meant Malefor surely? Malygos is a WoWcraft Dragon aspect but amusingly it’s a decent matchup with for either Darksalker or Malefor with Malygos being all about Magic. A problem with darkstalker (and all the WOF dragon animus as well tbh. But mostly Darkstalker) is that he either plays minecraft creative mode all over your ass or you have some feats of resisting spells and can ignore all of his bs to go on an stomp his ass. Animus is all wrapped up in being this huge NLF box of infinite gennie wishes that break everything about it’s own setting if pondered on for more than a heartbeat. This isn’t just an ooc observation I need to make that very clear. There’s a distinct thread in these books about characters pondering on the limits of it and then later start to increasingly freak out going ‘no it surely can’t be *that* powerful’ whenever they start to put two and two together about animus powers having practically no guard rails and being so much more boundless then just the making of quirky magic items. Darkstalker alludes to exterminating another race of dragons by enchanting a stick and snapping it, there’s a precog dragon who could see the timelines where he does it to.
So I've continued my watch of My Life As A Teenage Robot in the hypothetical Jenny vs. Uzi from Murder Drones MU that this thread sometimes discusses (fun show by the way, currently halfway through Season 2), Jenny definitely has a speed and weapon variety advantage over Uzi, but her durability (she gets destroyed/detached a LOT more than you think, leaving her defenseless) and her inability to fight weapons like the crystals the Crust Cousins (said to be some of the strongest things in her universe) and Armagedroid (a super peacekeeper robot that tore through Jenny and her weaponry easily) without her wit or even her strength (the Rock people) means she's most likely fricked against extraterrestrial, eldrichian concepts like the Absolute Solver radiating within Uzi. If Jenny knows to rush Uzi and kill her BEFORE the Solver fully activates in her (and knows how to stop a Solverpede as well), she's got a good shot, but once Uzi embraces the Solver and uses it more freely (even in a weakened state, say under a magnet or paralyzed by an EMP), Jenny is probably cooked, unless they count the bits of toonage Jenny sometimes shows. As a fan of both shows, just thought I'd give my two cents on the hypothetical.
Pretty good breakdown, and yeah I generally agree. Jenny struggles with supernatural / physics-bending shit, and she lacks knowledge of the Solver and how it functions. It's a tough fight for her for sure.

C. If you can’t properly utilize CE then Gojo is just some guy to you.
D. Gojo actually isn’t all that well known and people need to be actively debriefed on who he is to be afraid.

This is just headcanon. He came up with that scheme because he was FAMILIAR with Gojo’s family and knew that running in blindly would be idiotic. He KNEW about Gojo beforehand, and even then when he was actually face to face with him in BOTH encounters he wasn’t piss scared because of his powers. Toji’s planning was RELIANT on the fact that he had OUTSIDE INFORMATION on Gojo, so that is completely different from a Death Battle scenario. So at the end of the day, even though Toji was familiar with Gojo’s power, and knew that he was eating people alive in fights, and was fully aware of the ability he possessed, none of that stopped him from going directly in when the time was right regardless of his status.

Well for one, Makima wouldn’t be on the frontlines until she was completely out of pawns. She’d spend the fight in the back while just offering support. Gojo would sling insults or try to start bantering, and the best he’d get in return is one of the Hybrids speaking on Makima’s behalf and telling him to die or focus on the fight so that they can get a reward. Gojo would try to stun the army with a .2 DE and brute force his way directly to Makima instead of just using Red on repeat. THAT’S how the fight SHOULD’VE played out, with Gojo trying to climb the giant wall of Makima’s army while she’s placing pawns in his path to distract him. It should end with Gojo carpet bombing the area and taking Makima out alongside the rest of the army.

The CU (or realistically, any Souls protag) has better match ups nowadays, especially if we disregard the 'lore' scaling. LotF (2023)'s Lampbearer and Nioh 2's Hide have more ubiquitous wincons than the Dragonborn.
Likewise, the Arisen (Dragon's Dogma) and the Fateless One (Kingdoms of Amalur) make for better and more thematic opponents for the Dragonborn than the CU.
if we're doing Dragon's Dogma I'd much prefer Grigori be the one in the fight rather than the Arisen
Arisen can't have all abilities active at the same time so you'd have to already select one vocation which just gets beyond messy

Nonbiped creature battles present a choreography challenge that I am not sure Death Battle can pull off. What opponent for Grigori though? Because I feel like Alduin would require some sort Dragonrend equivalent.

Death Battle's production costs are going up and technically their presentation has increased in quality, but fights are fairly short now and the choreography is often lacking in very grounded and very high tier fights. Additionally research has devolved into pure power scaling wank hunts.

So I've continued my watch of My Life As A Teenage Robot in the hypothetical Jenny vs. Uzi from Murder Drones MU that this thread sometimes discusses (fun show by the way, currently halfway through Season 2), Jenny definitely has a speed and weapon variety advantage over Uzi, but her durability (she gets destroyed/detached a LOT more than you think, leaving her defenseless) and her inability to fight weapons like the crystals the Crust Cousins (said to be some of the strongest things in her universe) and Armagedroid (a super peacekeeper robot that tore through Jenny and her weaponry easily) without her wit or even her strength (the Rock people) means she's most likely fricked against extraterrestrial, eldrichian concepts like the Absolute Solver radiating within Uzi. If Jenny knows to rush Uzi and kill her BEFORE the Solver fully activates in her (and knows how to stop a Solverpede as well), she's got a good shot, but once Uzi embraces the Solver and uses it more freely (even in a weakened state, say under a magnet or paralyzed by an EMP), Jenny is probably cooked, unless they count the bits of toonage Jenny sometimes shows. As a fan of both shows, just thought I'd give my two cents on the hypothetical.

This is just headcanon. He came up with that scheme because he was FAMILIAR with Gojo’s family and knew that running in blindly would be idiotic. He KNEW about Gojo beforehand, and even then when he was actually face to face with him in BOTH encounters he wasn’t piss scared because of his powers. Toji’s planning was RELIANT on the fact that he had OUTSIDE INFORMATION on Gojo, so that is completely different from a Death Battle scenario. So at the end of the day, even though Toji was familiar with Gojo’s power, and knew that he was eating people alive in fights, and was fully aware of the ability he possessed, none of that stopped him from going directly in when the time was right regardless of his status.

Both characters fight in complete silence
Well for one, Makima wouldn’t be on the frontlines until she was completely out of pawns. She’d spend the fight in the back while just offering support. Gojo would sling insults or try to start bantering, and the best he’d get in return is one of the Hybrids speaking on Makima’s behalf and telling him to die or focus on the fight so that they can get a reward. Gojo would try to stun the army with a .2 DE and brute force his way directly to Makima instead of just using Red on repeat. THAT’S how the fight SHOULD’VE played out, with Gojo trying to climb the giant wall of Makima’s army while she’s placing pawns in his path to distract him. It should end with Gojo carpet bombing the area and taking Makima out alongside the rest of the army.
I'm not sure how gojo would interact with the moss and hell devil. If makima is hiding behind her numbers, she can also do a ritual too or try to stealthily chain gojo down. It would be a extremely difficult fight for Gojo to take on especially if makima has the entire PSA with her.
She was on the front lines because gojo was nuking her pawns from the get.
Keep the start of the fight and maintain said dynamic. Gojo trying to provoke Makima and she just staring at him.
If you want an exchange of words use the hybrids for stupid meaningless banter or have Makima say something about Yuji or Megumi so Gojo can get serious (also this way we can play with the "contrast" this MU supposedly has)

The CU (or realistically, any Souls protag) has better match ups nowadays, especially if we disregard the 'lore' scaling. LotF (2023)'s Lampbearer and Nioh 2's Hide have more ubiquitous wincons than the Dragonborn.
Likewise, the Arisen (Dragon's Dogma) and the Fateless One (Kingdoms of Amalur) make for better and more thematic opponents for the Dragonborn than the CU.
