They do have *some* connections, being space marines, fricked up childhoods, usually stay silent until recently for Chief, trained to fight at a young age, had classic FPS trilogy's during the PS2 and 360 era. The problem with Bayonetta is that not many people take into account that she's a collection of "complex multiversal" (or whatever you like to call above the standard multiversal model) beings at this point. In her base form, she not only can keep up with bosses on par with a DC Godhead but can also summon multiple demons and boost their power immensely, to the point of scaling to Singularity. Thanks to the Sin Ritual, Rodin and Omne aren't her only broken summons now.

Usually, most communities think power scaling is cringe and start spamming that Stan Lee clip while downvoting the post to hell, but Undertale, despite many of its characters being considered below human-child level at one point, genuinely discusses it, with not only this Touhou buff, but also stuff like whether or not Chara can destroy a universe, or whether Clover can beat Frisk, or how much stronger humans are compared to monsters.
