Fights with background music on DB, historically, are almost always dogshit. However, I think the animation was their best yet and the overall flow and impact from each clash in the fight saved it. Definitely could've used a much better soundtrack, though. Even an orchestral piece mixed with rising drum beats and even some rock and roll would've worked better.
For me, the fights peaked at Thanos vs Darkseid.
