Most supposed elite martial artists in this setting fight like Tank Abbott, sometimes kickboxers performing choreography instead of actually fighting. There's very little fight psychology to most CQC fight scenes and the fast paced shit is usually a glorified slideshow with arbitrary punches and high kicks

I am not especially knowledgable on Heroes nor all the little DC shit, but assuming the whole space thing is not much of an issue to Heroes Goku I think he may take it. Both of em get the whole "muh gorillion multiverses of infinity" nonsense but then Goku gets some more utility shit from Keysword (dunno what Sword of Superman does aside from just flavor text and I think he just ditched it immediately) and Gacha Cards give Goku a numbers advantage on the field
Goku has access to 7D or even 8D scaling in Heroes whereas, to my knowledge, DC was confirmed to be a 6D cosmology with Superman barely reaching that power with sundipping. Presuming that's all true, Goku would logically win.
In the end it's going to boil down to what Death Battle wants rather than actual research or legitimate argumentation and I do think they'll probably edge out either a tie or even a Goku win. Otherwise I don't see what the point of this is beyond lazy views farming.

Shame the announcement of goku vs superman 3 outright murdered discussion of the latest episode. I quite liked it, it did an amazing job of capturing both characters but especially The Doctor, the voice actor was more than spot on, he was indistinguishable from David Tennet. The ending feels exactly like a Who episode to, the moment of all hope being lost as he gets shot by Rick during regeneration only for everything to be won and set right in the end. Honestly my favorite line of the entire fight was “Keep quipping butthole. Maybe you’ll find a good joke on the ground next to your teeth.” My only grievance with the fight (other than Rick not winning but that’s negligible) was The Doctor calling him a nihilist…immediately after Rick said that he didn’t want his grandson to die like a moron, which would be like the exact opposite of nihilism. Although Rick caring about Morty the entire time is cool so, it’s fine.

Eh it’s 50/50. He’s cautious in a fight but it’s not like he doesn’t misthink at times. You could make the same argument for The Doctor not realizing that Rick shot a portal on his back despite being able to see the future. Ultimately it just comes back to them being in the heat of the moment and not thinking straight, or maybe it was part of both of their plans. Maybe Rick knew that the Angels would send him back in time so he could get the jump on TD, and maybe TD knew Rick would shoot that portal on his back so he could counter the D-Mat.
I think one of the flaws was the weeping angel scene. It is not excactly common knowledge that WA's kill their prey by sending them to the past, so Rick coming back from that effortlessly could be quite headscratcher for some

I wish but I doubt it, WHO is a popular series but not popular in vsbattle mostly because its rare the series ever goes to a physical brawl. Death Battle, just like any YouTube show, is focused around getting views. The cross between who fans and vsbattle fans is every very slim. And that aside dealing with a matchup like Cybermen vs Borg means an army battle, something they have yet to do proper (Wiley vs Eggman might count count? but the focus wasn't on the actual footsoldiers) that's when the budget problems step in

Okay so the watch tower where the Justice league and it's subsidiaries reside are employees. There are civilians who work there as well that all get paid a salary. It's not the character flaw that's the problem, it's the fact that the flaw shouldn't have nerfed him THAT much.
I don't read comics, but does DC explain how humans like Deathstroke, Captain Boomerang and Batman can box with the Flash or why Superman doesn't use his laser vision from a distance or super speed to disable a billionaire's toys? Honestly, I just want a Western comic that emulates the shonen format of prioritizing fights and explaining them.
The biggest anti-feat of Dragon Ball is when Goku turns from a gag character into a shonen character in the next saga.
Why is it that capeshit heroes often have better showings of lifting strength while shonenshit heroes tend to have more explosive in your face showings of punching or blasting power?

This is a misconception, he isn't 'weak' to it, it's more he doesn't have invulnerability to it like he does physical attacks.He won't take extra damage from it, he just takes the same damage as say Batman would.

It's not so much a weakness as it is just not having any special resistances to. Like if I threw a fireball at him it would do 0 damage due to his natural forcefield bull shit, but if I threw a magic fire ball it would do base fire damage rolled against his constitution. It wouldn't deal extra damage, just regular damage.
But other spells that alter him could probably work if you get them off before he brains you.

the updated stat sheet doesn't mention faster-than-light. a lot of people come to the conclusion that it referred to time stop, that when time is stopped star platinum moves at faster than light speeds. you also get stuff like "the stand users aren't ftl but the stands are" but they're the ones who control and fight using the stands to begin with

I am not especially knowledgable on Heroes nor all the little DC shit, but assuming the whole space thing is not much of an issue to Heroes Goku I think he may take it. Both of em get the whole "muh gorillion multiverses of infinity" nonsense but then Goku gets some more utility shit from Keysword (dunno what Sword of Superman does aside from just flavor text and I think he just ditched it immediately) and Gacha Cards give Goku a numbers advantage on the field
Goku has access to 7D or even 8D scaling in Heroes whereas, to my knowledge, DC was confirmed to be a 6D cosmology with Superman barely reaching that power with sundipping. Presuming that's all true, Goku would logically win.
In the end it's going to boil down to what Death Battle wants rather than actual research or legitimate argumentation and I do think they'll probably edge out either a tie or even a Goku win. Otherwise I don't see what the point of this is beyond lazy views farming.

Shame the announcement of goku vs superman 3 outright murdered discussion of the latest episode. I quite liked it, it did an amazing job of capturing both characters but especially The Doctor, the voice actor was more than spot on, he was indistinguishable from David Tennet. The ending feels exactly like a Who episode to, the moment of all hope being lost as he gets shot by Rick during regeneration only for everything to be won and set right in the end. Rick was done pretty well to; it captured the humor of rick and morty to a T
I liked the contrast between The Doctors quips and Rick’s quips.

Honestly my favorite line of the entire fight was “Keep quipping butthole. Maybe you’ll find a good joke on the ground next to your teeth.” My only grievance with the fight (other than Rick not winning but that’s negligible) was The Doctor calling him a nihilist…immediately after Rick said that he didn’t want his grandson to die like a moron, which would be like the exact opposite of nihilism. Although Rick caring about Morty the entire time is cool so, it’s fine.
Rick felt a little flawed he seemed a too evil bragging about how he’d kill The Doctor and I don’t think he’d blindly take advice from him on the Angels when he’s trying to kill him. Like you said the nihilist line felt forced too
I don’t think him talking about killing The Doctor is all that evil for him, especially since it happened AFTER he wrecked his tech and kept him stranded in a different dimension. Besides, it moreso felt like he only said the like so he could praise Morty for being better than his opponent.

Eh it’s 50/50. He’s cautious in a fight but it’s not like he doesn’t misthink at times. You could make the same argument for The Doctor not realizing that Rick shot a portal on his back despite being able to see the future. Ultimately it just comes back to them being in the heat of the moment and not thinking straight, or maybe it was part of both of their plans. Maybe Rick knew that the Angels would send him back in time so he could get the jump on TD, and maybe TD knew Rick would shoot that portal on his back so he could counter the D-Mat.
I think one of the flaws was the weeping angel scene. It is not excactly common knowledge that WA's kill their prey by sending them to the past, so Rick coming back from that effortlessly could be quite headscratcher for some

This is a misconception, he isn't 'weak' to it, it's more he doesn't have invulnerability to it like he does physical attacks.He won't take extra damage from it, he just takes the same damage as say Batman would.

It's not so much a weakness as it is just not having any special resistances to. Like if I threw a fireball at him it would do 0 damage due to his natural forcefield bull shit, but if I threw a magic fire ball it would do base fire damage rolled against his constitution. It wouldn't deal extra damage, just regular damage.
But other spells that alter him could probably work if you get them off before he brains you.

the updated stat sheet doesn't mention faster-than-light. a lot of people come to the conclusion that it referred to time stop, that when time is stopped star platinum moves at faster than light speeds. you also get stuff like "the stand users aren't ftl but the stands are" but they're the ones who control and fight using the stands to begin with
