To be fair, Police Comics era Plas wasn't a heavy hitter and would lose to Luffy. It was only relatively recently with JLA that Plas got buffed to the unkillable godling people know him as today. He's a weird case in that while most characters acquired by DC ended up sidelined and nerfed (Captain Marvel being the biggest example) he ended up becoming plastic god when before he was just the FBI's weird secret double agent doing the Green Hornet thing.

He was also the same writer who had Plas no-selling all of Fernus' flame attacks and wrestling him at 50 feet tall. In the original Plas stories, temperature extremes were just opportunities for situational comedy, like in any cartoon, and not Plas' 'weakness'
Luffy VS Plas is kind of iffy since its Death Battle. I can easily see Luffy thrashing and completely KOing Plastic Man since he has many arguments for doing so. Red Hawk for the heat weakness, Haki for the argument to bypass his plasticity, and Gear 5 for its bullshit. Though I don't think he can fully "kill" him.

It's not really a copout considering there are times haki doesn't solidify like Marco and Vista attacking Akainu. Even if it's granted that haki could solidify Plas, fruit users have been shown to be fast enough to warp their body around haki infused attack so it's contentious if Luffy could even land any lethal blows.

Croc because he's one of the few villains that actually had a personality and drive that went further than "MUWAHAHAHA I AM....LE EVIL!" and his motives tied into the story, making his arc at least somewhat important to the plot. Whitebeard is just cause he made Maineford awesome as frick.
After the time-skip though everything just went to shit. Characters lost their shine and what made them interesting overall (I.e Chopper), arcs became unbearably long for little to no reason (I.e Wano) and every new friendly character had mainly nothing going on for them, the action and stakes dwindled heavily as well. That's just what happens when you try to keep a story going for 1000+ chapters though.

There are still some cool parts but most of the crew became worse, haki is garbage shonen magic and the actual story's now mostly a repeat of the same story arc with increasingly poorly drawn and panneled fights between characters that look like dollar store toys taking 70% of the story away. Even if you compare the action parts, Golden Kamuy has people with different faces, colorful designs and freaky gimmicks all the time and even in its more grounded, realistic nature, it presents a much more unhinged and entertaining time than OP.
With Gear 5 now does that really matter considering he can just yank natural lightning out of the sky now? He can just do whatever he feels like

I want to know what people think of Buggy's DF. It makes him immune to slashes but would an expert swordsman be able to clad his weapon in Haki and be able to actually cut him? We even had Mihawk fail to cut him despite being the greatest swordsman in the series and Buggy's power not being a huge secret.
In that case of Mihawk I would honestly believe he wasn't taking the war seriously at all, since he generally seems to not care.
