Amphibia's fandom here just makes threads every Friday as "Frog Friday". The discussion there is mostly about wanting to see human girls frick animals. Permabanning Death Battle would be a pretty hypocritical move.
Because Death Battle attracts the most amount of unwarranted attention from users from different boards. It was also only really running for as long as it was because the show was still going at the time. Now that it's over and it's highly likely to never come back, why bother making new threads at all? Especially since all the /vs/ titled threads get instabanned and the ones labeled even as just "Death Battle" all get prematurely banned and unable to use now anyway.
I can understand a Death Battle thread once in a while somewhere down the line. After all, this board has talked about canceled or otherwise finished shows on a relatively consistent basis. But consistently wanting threads closer together non-stop is only going to get all of them prematurely banned quicker, at least for now.
Best to just finish the whole charade and put these threads completely out of their misery come May while we still have the option to.
Because /vs/ was some dumb shitter's solitary crusade to make something that no one wants. The real play is to switch over to Multiverse Match, and later whatever show rises to become the clear leader of the pack. The Multiverse Match threads seemed relatively clear of the usual kaiju and Dragon Ball shit posting too.
Except no one on Cinemaphile knows or cares about Multiverse Match as much as they seemed to at least be more lenient with Death Battle.
And those threads were a lot more tolerable than the normal Death Battle threads.

Shimo is the stronger kaiju and thing about MV Godzilla's strength feats imply his arms aren't as strong, his tail isn't as strong, he doesn't actually hit all that hard, he needs a run-up. And one thing that's very consistent too is the relatively modest damage caused in the physical confrontations in the MV and how the momentum of most attacks is low enough to be stopped by a building, and rarely, two.
There's consistent physical signs that the strength of MV Godzilla isn't all that disproportional. Breaking through a pyramid in GxK is a staggering step up from his prior physicals because it basically amounts to charging through a stone hill when in every other context he’d have had to have ran ‘up’ it. Rule of cool and all that.
Godzilla got a significant boost with his evolved form, even had a statement that its power output was 20 times larger than before evolving. He also is denser despite being thinner physically so it is out of question that evolved godzilla has become arguably stronger titan overall.

The reason I think Frieren has a chance is because of her smarts. Both are geniuses but while Rudeus is naturally talented in magic Frieren is inhumanly knowledgeable about it. She can copy spells after seeing them once, reverse curses that work with a completely different power system entirely, process centuries of information in months, and dispell any magic she understands. This plus the fact that Soul track (her basic ass damaging spell) negates all kinds of durability means she doesn't need to be stronger to land a killing blow

Absolute zero is a weird benchmark because it's the lowest possible in OUR world, but it wouldn't actually be cold enough to pull off many feats shown in fiction, like making solid steel shatter, or creating huge ice sculptures without moisture.
I never got why any fiction uses absolute zero as anything other than a world ending feat. If absolute zero could be maintained, thermal equilibrium would cause absolute zero to spread exponentially until the transfer of heat reaches the vacuum of space.
Wouldn't it just turn into a normal explosion? Spreading exponentially means it gains energy and would cease to be absolute zero very quickly.
