Why is running so hard on your knees then? Humans are meant to use their brains

Are Hoka shoes good? Getting back into running right soon. Didn't like the last pair of Brooks I had.

I hate the mid-20th century clothing trend of putting the brands logo or name in large lettierng on everything you're wearing. So what, I'm paying for the clothes/shoes AND paying to advertise for you? It's a microcosm of what went wrong with America: Greed and obsession with status.

              That's human nature, not america.

The hokas I had felt good and I ran my first half marathon in them, but they definitely run too narrow and the upper material ripped from the inner part of the sole at some point (only had around 200 miles on them) and I had to throw them out after one season. Brooks seem really hit or miss; I swear the last cheap pair of brooks I had gave me achilles tendinitis when I first tried wearing them on roons.

It’s not, most people wear the wrong shoes and have weird muscle imbalances

            >weird muscle imbalances
I swear like 90% of inexperienced people who try running are doing it all wrong because of their fricked up sitting in a chair all day posture

So is running natural or you need the correct equipment?

Do you think concrete is a naturally occurring phenomenon? If you were running on grass it wouldn't matter

Natural. I run barefoot on grass if its warmout, and wear leather moccasins if its cold and on manmade surfaces just to protect my feet. I can do 10 miles like that just fine

Shoes and asphalt aren't natural moronbro.
Even horseshoes were invented because roads destroy hoofs

Running is great. Just imagine your running away from your whole life and all your problems. Just hauling ass to escape the waking nightmare. Run. Run until you faint and fall down in a ditch. Feels good man.

I hate running, but I hate being a lazy frick even more, so I force myself to run until I can't anymore. It's a test of willpower for me, and it does keeo you in shape, so you can keep playing with your kids and grandkids

you'll hate running less if you go for roons and leave some gas in the tank
      that's literally how you improove

Yeah, and it's true there's always options to make running more fun. Right now I'd like different running routes, but the options are limited currently.
Jogging through a city would be fun.
