Sausage Party at least knew when to use swearing when talking. Vivziepop writes like a teenager barely discovering foul language and trying to force it at every opportunity.

Sausage party isn’t great but i don’t get where this “no bro you have to hate it” attitude comes from. Like okay the swearing is obnoxious but why this film specifically and not like Pineapple Express or any of his other movies?

It was the first theatrical R-rated animated film since Team America and the South Park, and it just further cemented that adult animation in the US will continue to focus on the raunchy aesthetic for shock value with poor writing and bad visuals.
I don't like any of Seth Rogen's shit. The entire plot to Sausage Party was lame, the jokes were typical and uninspired, and frankly the way the animators were treated was pretty shitty too.

Honestly I find criticism of the level of swearing kinda weird. Doesn't seem excessive to me. More like the level we just casually talk around here. One of the best likes is Vox exclaiming "Fuu-u-uuk!" with three syllables. Was perfect.
Charlie shouldn't really swear though. I mean Charlie is so naïve/sheltered she doesn't know what a 'Donkey Show' is despite growing up in Hell surrounded by murder, violence, and sex for centuries. So they'd be better off going for a Captain America thing where she can swear, but save it for something where it's going to be funny, or have ironic impact. Pilot version Charlie was better for this, because she wasn't a clueless moron.
As for Angels swearing, I admit to being totally lost as to what is even supposed to be going on, but I sense that it's going to be fricking stupid.

The angels swearing is either 2 things: 1. Heaven isn’t actually all that good which is most likely the case or 2. My pet theory is that the exterminators actually aren’t angels, they’re demons who heaven equips and outsources their dirty work to for the promise of eventual salvation.
