Like I said before, WfM and Despair Memory came out around the same time. With how WfM ended (and how it was altered months before it came out), this is the only Gundam story that might veer into a war story depending on how the scouting mission launched by the Earth-based government goes.
Now, without WfM, what can Despair Memory be paired with IF and WHEN it gets into SRW Of course that depends on when Kaoris and/or June get into Gundams.

Probably because it’s so disconnected from Gundam that most of the board dropped it a few chapters in when they realised it was mainly going to be an excuse for Inoue to go fricking apeshit and do what he wanted while occasionally showing a peak at a Gundam. Those that actually stayed for Mr. Inoue’s Wild Ride are sadly few and far between
