I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that socialization isn't really part of it. Or it's a very overrated part of it. What it really comes down to, in my view, is mostly that males and females are biologically different. Especially after puberty when our hormones begin to influence adult behavior. I think men might understand women a little bit better because we have to try and disentangle them in order to court them. Women don't really have to do much other than be sexy to attract male attention. I guess in that sense they have us "figured out".
