No, in s5 he finds a girl that was kidnapped and raped and helps her kill the people that did it since she also has the dark passenger but she looses it at the end after they are all dead and leaves dexter.

I get it - she was likely too expensive to retain for another season, but that sudden about-face "Whoops, I'm all better now, gotta go lmao" made no sense whatsoever. Then S6 basically drives the entire series off a cliff. If only I had stopped watching then...

Some people really hate s7 and s8 but they aren't that horrible, season 7 is probably the worst one tho and s8 just feels kinda weird like a story that probably shouldn't have been the finale with a disappointing ending
